    I just wanted to update a review ... it���s been 4 years since I hired Russell Renovations The first time and we still continue to See the benefits from their work ! My example today is that we woke up and my husband realized that our sump pump died. Just think, brand new basement fully finished to everything we ever desired and this could have all been ruined by flooding. Tim being so knowledgeable had righteously recommended and installed for us a back up sump pump that kicked in right away on this rainy day and saved us so much tears!!! Thank you again for all of your hard work and help we can���t wait to plan our next project with Russell renovations !!

    Randy was very professional and punctual. He's a big believer in doing everything by the book. Which means proper contracts and bringing in experts to handle things like electrical wiring. His guys did a great job. Any minor issues were handled promptly and before final payment was requested. He did quality work which is not cheap so don't expect rock bottom prices. But the job will be done right and to your satisfaction

    Let me begin by saying that the generator is terrific.  We have experienced several short-term storm-related power outages since the generator was installed in November, 2014, and the generator has worked like a dream.  Definitely a good product and investment.
    The problems we experienced in our interactions with Zenner and Ritter (hereafter referred to as Z&R) were as follows:
    1.  Z & R failed to obtain a building permit from the Town of Lewiston prior to beginning installation of the generator.  A permit is required. We originally contracted to have the generator installed in August, so that Z&R had from August 2014 to November 2014 to obtain a building permit.  Z & R lied to us about having the permit.  The Town of Lewiston building inspector verified that Z & R had submitted an application for a permit the day before construction began, but that the permit was not issued until weeks later, and that the work was in fact begun and essentially completed without a valid building permit.  Fortunately the Town of Lewiston did not fine or penalize us.
    2.  The electrical sub-contractor Z&R sent to make the changes to our electrical panel to accept the generator hookup did not do the work to code, and the work failed the initial inspection.  The sub-contractor repeatedly failed to return to complete what was essentially a 30 minute repair.  Z and R failed to follow up in a timely fashion, so that an installation and inspection that should have taken a week at the most took over 5 months to resolve.  [The electrical contractor was separately reviewed on Angie's List under the business name: Melton Electric.]  Z and R kept re-assuring us that the work had been done and the inspection approved when in fact NO ONE had been out to do the repairs, the second inspection had never been scheduled because the repairs had never been done, and the Town of Lewiston building department never received the mandated approval from their inspector signing off on the electrical installations.  Z&R finally sent out a different electrical contractor, who completed the repair to the satisfaction of the electrical inspector 5 MONTHS AFTER THE INITIAL INSTALLATION.
     3. Z & R's billing department overcharged us repeatedly by $900, because they mistakenly creditied our downpayment to some other customer's account.  It took several go-rounds with copies of the canceled checks to get them to correctly credit our payments.  
    We found the staff at Zenner and Ritter to be very disorganized and either woefully uninformed about what their techs had or had not accomplished or downright prone to dissembling.  We love the generator, but will never, and we mean NEVER do business with Zenner & Ritter again.

    The majority of installation was OK, however, Melton failed to properly connect the ground wires for generator box & electrical panel.  As a result the electrical installation failed the required inspection as his installation did not meet town codes.  It would have been a matter of less than an hour's work to re-do the ground wires, but Mr. Melton put off returning for the repair for over two months, and never did return to complete the work.  Zenner and Ritter finally had to send out an electrician from a different company at the end of January 2015 to correct the problem.  An installation and inspection that should have taken a few days dragged on for nearly four months by the time the final Town of Lewiston inspection was completed.

    Excellent. I was contacted by the owner the day after my purchase on Angie's list. We went over the services I wanted and he advised me of the cost of some of the parts.
    Two electricians arrived on the day we had agreed upon and the time he had told me to expect them.
    Both individuals were very professional, went to work immediately and continued for the next three hours. Job actually went over the time purchased and I was asked if I wanted them to continue. I did.
    When job was completed, they showed me everything they had done and tested it with me there to show me everything worked.
    They cleaned up all areas prior to leaving.
    I was very satisfied with the work they had done.

    Came and explained when he was coming and what he'd be doing the next day. Came next day and dug trench to run line to pool for pump and filter. Hooked up power to pool and added a timer. Gave an extra outlet near deck. Even checked pool hoses and tightened clamps when he turned on pool filter ! Filled in trench and cleaned up before leaving. Have used Walt before when changed from fuse to breaker and will use in the future.

    We called and set up an appointment for a walk through to itemize the issues that needed attention. Following the walk through, we had 2 phone conversations with the office staff to schedule the same electrician (Jessie) who had done the work in late 2011 on our kitchen for phase 2 of our electrical upgrade project.
    We received a call the day prior to service to go over some final details. Jessie and his assistant were prompt and courteous and the work was completed thoroughly and efficiently. All work was reviewed with us at the end of the job.

    My husband had paid for it. They are a general contractor. We have been using them for about 30 years. We always hire them. There is one person who has done all kinds of things for us. He is a jack of all trades. It's very hard to find people who do small jobs. He is reasonable and shows up on time. We don't bother about getting estimates anymore because we just call Dallas Ward and Sons. Our experience with them has been terrific.
