    Brass Eye Center
Once it was determined that my eyes needed to have the slow growing cataracts removed, Dr. Brass and his team quickly set up all of the preoperative, operative and post operative appointments that would be required. My wife and I spoke to a counselor in Dr. Brass' office who answered all of our questions. In addition, I was provided with a packet of items that would prove helpful during the two separate surgeries needed and they had all of the prescription eye drops needed ordered at my local pharmacy for pick up that same day.. Although the thought of having surgery on my eyes was creepy, I found that these procedures were easier than having a filling done at the dentist. For both of my procedures, My wife and I arrived at the outpatient eye center and was on my way home in just a few hours. No pain! During the surgery I was in a 'light' anesthesia 'haze' and not specifically aware of what was occurring, although Dr. Brass spoke to me throughout.. This is a good thing! The procedure itself took all of 15 minutes and after a short stint in "Post Op" found that I could see better than I had in years. Dr. Brass and company were extremely helpful and reassuring. They took great care to put me at ease and made sure everything went as planned. I myself worked in the Health Care field for over 40 years and know how shoddy some practices can be. Dr. Brass and team were first rate and they use all of the latest technology. It isn't likely that I will have cataracts again, but I would definitely return to this Practice if I ever had any other issue with my eyes. The cost to have both eyes done was about $3,000 out of pocket which includes the facility, preoperative, postoperative and anesthesiology fees. But this will depend on your insurance and their deductible schedule. I rated the cost as "A", but it is what it is. I did some research of other local Ophthalmology practices in my area as provided to me by my insurance carrier and I did not see any considerable differences in the Gross costs. I initially went to Dr. Brass on a recommendation from my PCP. Glad I listened to her!

    Starr, Dr. Jeff
My husband and I both go to Dr Starr's practice. We have been patients here for a few years. I wear contacts and my husband wears glasses. Dr Starr has worked a lot with me to find the right contacts for my very dry, stigmatic eyes. I also wear glasses when not wearing contacts. The optician at his practice is wonderful and bubbly. SHe really helps you make a great choice in frames. The office staff is nice and they have evening hours.

    Optique Boutique
Had a great initial exam, and ordered some great new specs. Had a minor problem with the prescription when I got my new glasses, but I walked in without an appointment and they took me right in, diagnosed and rectified the problem, and ordered a new set of lenses to correct the problem, at their expense. Couldn't have been happier with their response to the problem.

Tried this provider simply out of convenience. Was very pleased to find that they were extremely friendly and very professional. Aspect of their practice that I liked the best was that they were very patient and helpful in picking-out frames and lenses. Prices for and quot;extrasand quot; above-and-beyond those items covered by our insurance were very reasonable. We definitely will use them again.

Dr. Brass treated our concern about my husband's strange vision in one eye as a very serious matter, because had he not, my husband would have died from a blocked artery. Many doctors do not take such matters seriously and move quickly to rule out the worst, or have one see a specialist.

    Albany Regional Eye Center
My scheduled surgery was an hour and a half late....the setting is not what I expected...it felt like a mass production operation.....in the hour and half I waited to be admitted for surgery, there were at least 20 people who were being discharged..it was a production line...the staff was friendly and helpful....overall it was an ok experience at the center....but not what I expected...

Dr. Ramsey L. Elhosn is the doctor that I see when I go for my checkup.  It was an emergency and he opened up his office on a Sunday morning for us.  I will continue to use his services in the future when necessary.  He also does Lasik surgery.   I will continue to use his services in the future for my eye care health.

    Brass Eye Center
I have been seeing Dr Brass for years for my chronic condition. After having some testing done by his extremely capable and friendly assistant, I waited only briefly to see Dr. Brass. I had stopped one of my eye medications, but since I had since been diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder, restarting the Restasis only made sense - so I will restart it right away!

Never, never, never has anyone in this office made me feel dumb - whch can happen quite easily in medicine.

    Brass Eye Center
I am extremely happy with the results. I see 20/20 to 20/15 in both eyes. No issues driving at night and my mild eye dryness is better than it was when I was wearing contacts - just as Dr. Brass had expected. He is a good communicator and is very concerned about making sure the patient is happy with the care that he or she is getting. I had some complications early on likely due to a previously undiagnosed allergy. Dr. Brass was very responsive and made room in his schedule to see me more frequently for follow-ups. He also told me that he would see me as often as I felt that I needed to come in. Overall I am very impressed not only with his skills as an eye surgeon, but also with how he runs his office and interacts with his patients.

    Kansas, Dr. Peter G.
He is a very thorough doctor; he questions you, goes over all your reports and makes sure that your eyes are okay. He followed up well and our surgeries were all done very well; methodically. He has his own surgical facility where he does eye surgery; he owns it and other doctors use his facility as well; he is quite a man. I dread seeing him retire because he is getting up around that age. I will use him again in the future.
