Worst service company I have ever worked with in over 25 years of home ownership. They are chronically late for appointments or they don't show up after you've been waiting around for hours and do not have the courtesy to call. Most recently they twice order the wrong pressure gauge for our furnace and both the technicians that came and manager acted like it was no big deal. They are unprofessional and have poor customer service. We are never using them again and highly recommend you don't either.

    Richie Bros., HVAC
Richie was very responsive in assisting us with replacement of our furnace that blew out over a cold Thanksgiving weekend. He had us up, running and warm again with a new furnace in a few days. The price was expensive, but that was a function of the equipment itself. Richie Bros. labor was perfect. They are worth the price!

    Richie Bros., HVAC
Richie Brothers is the most overpriced HVAC service provider in the area. Please, whatever you do, get a second quote before engaging these guys to do anything. I was charged $4,700 to install a small compressor and wall unit that could be purchased online (retail) for $2,000. They installed it in less than 1 day. Although I understand service providers need to make a living in that they mark up units and they need to be paid for their labor, this markup is outrageous. Afterthefact (shame on me), I got a new quote for the same compressor and installation and was quoted $2,500. Do not use Richie Brothers unless you really want to get ripped off!

When I called to schedule the appointment I described the problem and I was given a diagnosis of either (a) a leaky pipe or (b) condensation from the humidity. Terrific. That made sense. The day of my appointment was the first cool day in August and the AC was not running. I described the issue to the repair guy. He ran water through the pipes to see if there was a leak - no leak. He said there was nothing else he could do because there was no water dripping from the pipes and he could not tell where it might be coming from. I would need to call him back when it was hot and humid. I paid $177. After he left I realized that he never tried to run the AC. I turned the temp down to 50 and got the AC running. After 30 min I felt the pipes and they were Ice cold. The problem was absolutely condensation. I felt kind of cheated so called the company to explain, as politely and friendly as possible, that I wish the repair guy and tried to test the AC itself and/or insulated the pipes since that was the diagnosis I was given. I would have happily paid to have the guy to insulate the pipes so I could rest easy. She listened and told me she would speak with the owner to get their impressions and she would call me back. I never heard back. It has been 2 months. The weather has been cool. We're not running the AC, so the drip is not occurring and the BR door frame has reduced in swelling. I am heading off to Home Depot to purchase some pipe insulation and do this myself. I will not shell out another $177 for them to come back.

Alex Heating & Air Conditioning Corp
Met with owner and his son Alex who came to fix my heating system.  The heating pump's seal was leaking water and losing pressure.  Alex was able to successfully diagnose the issue and fixed it, while discovering another issue of the system sending conflicting signals that stalled the fan.  Alex removed the conflicting signal and also fixed a bad wiring job for another heating zone.  We've had no issues with heat ever since.
This is a great service provider with an excellent family tradition of high quality service.  Will use them again.

    G.C. Reliable Service, Inc.
They came in and replaced a switch on one of my boilers as it was not working. If an issue doesn't get resolved, Mr. Cullen comes out immediately and fixes it. Very happy with my experience and on going business with them.

The installation went without issues - but then, the renovation itself was highly unpleasant and it was winter so nobody actually ran any tests on the unit at the time of installation. In July, we tried the units and had to realize that they were not working.

After simply not showing up for not one but 2 appointments to review the units and ignoring all calls and messages, I had to pay a third party AC guy US$ 150 to come and give me a diagnosis. The diagnosis was that the electric connections were no good - and to be fair, these were not All Temp's responsibility. After I then had an electrician correct the connections, it turns out that 2 of the three units still are not cooling the way they should. Once again, I left messages and tried to contact the company. At some point I was able to talk to the owner of All Temp Mr. Victor Papa, who agreed to come by and review the units. The appointment we set up was once more cancelled and since then (3 weeks ago), he has once again been ignoring phone calls or email messages.
I have been trying to get a hold of ANYBODY at this company for several weeks now. When he missed the appointments, Mr. Papa threw all the excuses in the book at me - broken down truck, hospital, away for a job, the lot. If you value reliability, credibility and honesty apart from the quality of service, I recommend you find a different AC company.

P.S.: Today I find out through a reliable AC company that my AC issues are due to the fact that All Temp Mechanical installed at least one oversized unit so the condenser is overwhelmed - if I were to right this mistake, I would have to exchange one of the units for about 2-3,000$. Also, the refrigerant was not filled up properly - which will cost me anotherUS$ 295 to do now. DO NOT CONTRACT THIS COMPANY!

Alex Heating & Air Conditioning Corp
I called Alex Heating & Air Conditioning to patch the flue of my boiler and make other corrections to the duct work that I thought were needed.  The owner, John, visited to perform an estimate and saw a way to fix the duct work that did not cost my anything, and then he did the flue patchwork, without any charge!

Jim helped me to start draining the basement, roughly 575SF of affected area w/ 4" of standing water, left a hose with me for a submersible pump to continue the work and inspected the burst pipe.  He inspected the HW tank and boiler to ensure there was no additional damage and stuck around until I turned the main back on ensuring the affected pipe had been bypassed correctly. Jim provided me with the name (New Crystal Restoration) and phone number for restoration and to contact him when we would like to get the pipe moved and insulated appropriately in the spring.  Based on his response, assistance and level of knowledge (and neighbor's reviews of his work) we will have Jim come back to do the work.
