    We began having problems with our furnace on December 25, 2017. We contacted Capital Heat Inc. who sent out a technician immediately! Due to the age of furnace and the fact that a Capital Heat technician had to come out two additional times, including 12/29/17, we decided that it was time to replace the furnace. The technician contacted the office and Rick Blatner II came out that very same day to give us an estimate. Rick was a pleasure to work with!! He was professional, knowledgeable, friendly and empathetic to our situation, especially since this was happening during the holidays. After discussing options, we signed a contract for not only a new furnace but for an air-conditioning unit as well. The installation for the furnace was scheduled for 1/4/18. In the meantime, the old furnace went out again on 1/1/18 and Capital Heat came to the rescue! This time the technician even left us space heaters!! On 1/4/17, Installers Mitch and Bobby arrived on time and got right to work!! They, too, were very professional, knowledgeable, friendly and clean!! Mitch explained the workings of the new furnace and made sure that we were completely satisfied before leaving!! He told us that we would be contacted in Spring to complete the installation of the air-conditioning unit. As promised, that call came last week and the air-conditioning job was completed on 4/11/18!! Again, we were happy to see that the installers were Mitch and Bobby and again THEY DID AN EXCELLENT JOB!!! They were GREAT to work with and are truly an asset to Capital Inc.!!! In addition, Rick came back to our house after both installations to personally insure that the jobs were done correctly and that we were completely satisfied!!! What service!!! We would highly recommend Capital Heat Inc. to anyone who has heating and/or air-conditioning needs!!! Their commitment to their products and to customer service will go beyond your expectations!!     Nate, was very professional and recommended a replacement part for my AC unit which I did not have to replace right away. He also told me about a good program that they offer regarding service calls and discount on repairs, etc. I thought that was very helpful because now I don't have to remember to have my units checked every year or so, they will send a reminder.

    I have used this company several times over the years. I purchased a hot water tank, furnace and AC from them and have had yearly cleanings of my units. They are punctual, professional and do a do a good job. Most recently Travis came out to service my AC and he was even a few minute early which wa great. He explained what work he was doing. I highly recommend this company.

    Overall pretty good experience. I paid a pretty good chunk of change (in my perspective) but due to the age of the system and last time it was worked on it probably was on par. Tech was knowledgeable and friendly.

    They had a big price increase and some of the people they sent over I didn't really care for. They had a couple guys come in and drag dirt in with their construction boots. I had to clean up after them. They could've worn booties. They would come expectantly later. It was just a minor irritant. They had a 30% increase in price for the service.

    Emerald rates 5 stars plus from our family. Our first experience was in 2013 when our disabled elderly mother (Lockport) was interested in replacing her furnace. As we live in Lancaster and had several recommendations for Emerald we called. Darrell was professional and treated her with respect as she purchased a new furnace. In 2016 Mom also had Emerald replace her hot water tank. Telephone calls and follow-up was always prompt and fair, each and every employee/tech was knowledgeable, courteous and efficient. In 2016 we replaced our 39 year old furnace in Lancaster which included 4 zone valves. Again, the crew as great and we were so very pleased. Sadly we lost mother November 2016. I called Emerald for advice numerous times on how to protect the vacant home in Lockport during the winter. Travis came out to do maintenance on a garage furnace and went above and beyond in assisting. Each and every time I received prompt, excellent advice. March 8th the power went out on the Lockport street and panic set in. Mother's house had radiant heat with the pipes in the concrete floor. Disaster loomed but I called Emerald. Jim assisted and Matthew reserved an appointment the following day just in case the power was not restored and they would drain the system to prevent risk of burst pipes. They have numerous times been there for our family and would recommend them to anyone. for our family and would recommend them to anyone.

    I am quite disturbed by this company. They are prompt and neat, but that's it. I took out a service contract with them for a year. I was new to the area and did not know of any company to call and gave Twin Air a try. First they told me the humidifier on the furnace was not working and needed to be replaced. When I had them service the A/C, I was told it would never last through the season and needed to be replaced. Both of the items above turned out to be working just fine after a second opinion, and are still working to date . By the way, after being told by Twin Air that the humidifier wasn't working, when they came the next time, I asked a different tech if it was working, and he told me it was fine. When I questioned the company, I had gotten a very nasty response in return, suggesting the second opinion was given by an idiot. The worst was just recently when I had the furnace tune-up. Rick checked everything and then told me that I had a carbon monoxide leak and it was very dangerous to be in the house and that I should replace the furnace that very week. I then got a second opinion again, since I can't spend money I don't have and I am suspect of this company. Again, the furnace is working fine and it is NOT leaking CO2. I then purchased a monitor to read the CO2 and it reads zero!! This man sat in my house and told me how dangerous it was for me to stay in my home with that furnace, scared me half to death. I feel this is not only cruel, but unethical to outright lie to someone just to make a sale. I will never have this company in my home again and I would not recommend them to anyone, they are out to make a buck and don't care how they do it. As usual, I suspect I will get a nasty response once again, since this is how they operate and I am looked upon as "just another stupid woman".

    When I called for an appointment the owner said he was available and would come out and check the A/C and give us an estimate. After checking the system he said it was shot and we would need a new one. He said he would also need to change the thermostat and I told him specifically that we wanted one that would automatically switch between heat and cool, and he said it would definitely do that, and be a much better thermostat than we already had. He said we had a unit that was too big for our house and suggested we get a smaller unit. The techs came out soon after to do the work while my daughter was home. First, they drilled another hole in our outside concrete wall when installing the new unit. They found that they had drilled in the wrong place and drilled again to compensate, making a large 4 inch hole in the wall. After installing the pipe they had to fill all of the extra space with caulk. Second, the unit is too small for the house and the rooms don't have consistent temperature like they had for the previous 12 years. Third, they told us not to use the auto setting on the thermostat because we didn't need it, and if we did use it it wouldn't act like we wanted it to anyway. Fourth, that means that the thermostat does not automatically change from heat to cool which was something we pointed out we definitely wanted. A couple months after the installation we called to see if we could get our old thermostat back or something comparable and they said no. We asked if we could speak to the owner again, but the manager said we would have to work him, and he was quite rude. At that point we decided to wait for the one year checkup they promised and see what they might be able to do for us. At the one year appointment they said everything was working fine and they wouldn't do anything for us. During the sales pitch the owner had stressed how he believed in quality work, and making it right if there was a problem. We definitely did not find this to be the case. We were not impressed with the work, the equipment was not adequate for the job, and the followup was very poor. We definitely would recommend anyone to not call this vendor.

And also went above and beyond by helping my wife get all the windows closed once the ac was working again (I was out of town for business). Thank you for your service!
