    Brandon was the lead on our project. We had our exterior vinyl home painted. CertaPro could not have been more professional . They showed up first thing the morning they started. They went over every detail with me. Anytime something came up, they brought it to my attention so I could approve. They finished my 2000 sq ft house in 2.5 days, did a final walk through and left paint for touch up. Brandon and his team went above and beyond. The final result was beautiful. It looks like a new house. I will absolutely use them for future projects and would highly recommend.

    Estimator showed up on time, went over what I wanted which was to re-stain with 2 coats my cedar shake shingles with Sherwin Williams Woodscape Solid on front of house and repaint my shutters. Estimator provided some ad-dons to paint trim and garage door with Sherwin Williams Superpaint which I agreed. He went to his car to print out quote. After reviewing it I pointed out some errors that included paint products used and # of coats. He said it would not affect price. He did not fix it on the spot, which should of been a warning sign. He asked when I would I would know if I would use them.  I told him  I was waiting on another estimate and he left. 2 weeks later, I decided I wanted to move forward and called estimator and asked him to send me over the updated quote with his errors fixed. I also mentioned I saw a coupon on website for 100 off $1000 and wondered if I could use it. My job was shy of the $1000.00 coupon limit, but he agreed to $50 off which was fair.  He said he would send over the updated quote that day. Called him again next day because I didn't receive and he said he had some technical problems, but he fixed and was sending it over via email.
    Well after review, he made SIGNIFICANT changes. This is completely unacceptable as he did not mention he was going to do these changes. He went from 2 coats on cedar shingles to 1 coat, which even Sherwin Williams recommends 2 thin coats. He changed the paint product from a superpaint to duration product for the addons and reduced to 1 coat as well. But left the shutters with the superpaint product, which was probably another error on his part.  I disputed the changes with estimator and he apologized but would not honor original estimate. He first attempted to blame it on me asking for additional discount with coupon as reason to requote job. Then he backed away from that on the phone and said the quote was almost 2 months old and it needed to be re-quoted and he would have to come back out.. Remind you back on their proposal states quote is good for 60 days and it hasn't been 60 days yet. Why would I want the same estimator to come back out and waste additional time potentially. At this point I wanted to speak with owner as I felt as a potential customer I was experiencing extremely poor customer service with this employee and did not wish to speak with him further. 
    I sent a followup email with business owner copied in. Dominic, the franchise owner, called me and left a message.  I called him back, though he was polite, he would NOT HONOR the original quote and stated his employee under quoted the job as the sole reason. I stated that was his opinion as other quotes were in line. He said if I would of mailed in original proposal, he would of honored it. I explained I couldn't sign it as it had large errors and employee did not fix day it was written when I pointed the errors out.  One part of contract said 2 coats and the other part said 1 coat. Also had the stain going on addons and paint going on cedar so it was reversed.  The actual painters or any neutral 3rd party would look at contract and wouldn't know what was right. If there is one thing I know which contractors, you must get the scope of work WRITTEN and not accept VERBAL I explained I did everything right in good faith. I even allowed them to do the addons with 1 coat with a better paint product, because I was covering brown with brown and 1 coat would be acceptable. However I wasn't going to budge on the 2 coats for cedar. I was changing colors and Sherwin Williams the paint manufacturer recommended 2 coats, not one. I asked him to stand by original quote/price and honor it, but my request was rejected. 
    I am flabbergasted that this company does not stand by their WRITTEN PROPOSALS. My personal opinion is that it was done intentionally as that is the only logical explanation. Dominic told me the employee was with him 7 months. I would of expected the employee to be trained by that time.  Customer service was non existent starting with OWNER and trickling down to employee.
    Certapro first value on their website is "Always deliver what we promise."  -> This did not happen. 
    They also say they used trained estimators.  --> This clearly did not happen if I take the owners word that is employee underquoted the job. 
    Respect the customer. --> I definitely felt disrespected and an attempt to take advantage of the situation. I'm glad I read the updated proposal. 
    I reported my experience with CertaPro National Headquarters and received no customer service from them either. They told me Dominic would have to provide a resolution and that he already talked with me about situation. Never received an apology for my experience.
    I personally would never use this company in the future.  I would be very careful with this local Franchise and please make sure everything is correct on proposal before they leave the premises. I can not comment on the quality of their work since they did not paint my house.
