    I live in Islandia and looked from here to Glen Cove trying to find someplace to bring my car after an accident and a really terrible initial repair job. When I first came across Tier 1's page I thought that something must be fishy - there is no way anyone could get that many A reviews, let alone a body shop, right? Wrong. This guy and his crew are AMAZING! I wish I could clone Curtis and put him in charge of every business in the world.

    My teenage son rear ended someone in June. My insurance company recommended a shop on their direct repair program (I will be posting a separate and quite different review for them.) When I picked up my car (rode the bus out to get it since they don't even offer pickup and drop-off service) I took my car home and cried because it looked to terrible. Because Geico had guaranteed the work of the first place, they were more than willing to pay to have the car re-repaired at the place of my choosing.

    I started searching for another repair shop locally. My search quickly extended beyond the normal area and I finally came across Tier 1 Collision Center in Patchogue. It was quite a drive, but how can you go wrong with a place with tons of positive reviews? And bonus, they provide loaner car pickup on site!

    I called and spoke with Curtis. He was a little hesitant to repair a car that had already been fixed by someone else, but he said he would be willing to take a look and give it a go.

    When I arrived to drop off my car Curtis came out and spoke with me and a new insurance adjuster. Curtis made it clear right off that he would be working to make me happy, not the insurance company. He immediately seemed professional, honest, friendly and very knowledgeable.

    While my car was there being repaired I received multiple updates on how the repair was going. It was more than a little challenging for them because they were working through someone else's repairs and had to do frame adjustments that weren't done before. The repair took about three weeks, (which were so much easier to get through than the first three when I was completely without a car). Every time Curtis called he explained everything they had done, were doing, and any additional issues that were found. He was always very professional and never, at any time, said anything derogatory about the first place that repaired my car...even though he found many, many more things that were done incorrectly, poorly, or not at all, beyond the initial issues that I had observed.

    When I picked up my car I was thrilled. I can honestly say that my car hasn't looked this good for years. The car was completely cleaned and beautifully shiny. There was plastic protecting the driver's seat and paper protecting the floor. My tags had expired (it had been two months total since the accident) and I had brought the new ones and a new license plate surround to replace the one that had been broken to throw on the car. Curtis immediately called one of his guys who came running out and put them on the car. His guy was even nice enough to show my son how to do it and he let him help.

    The icing on the cake...and you won't believe this...besides the Lindels chocolates, calendars and magnetic clip they left in the seat of my beautiful newly repaired car... Curtis showed me all the billing info and noted that there were a couple of things the insurance didn't cover (over $900 worth of parts). He said he was just giving me those things.  Now, I'm an entertainer and I looked this over a few times trying to figure out what the heck he was doing...I couldn't believe he was giving me new parts, but, he was and he did! I'm a single dad and I'm sure he has no idea how huge this is for me and my family right now.

    Oh yes, and when I called him the day before to set up a time to pick up the car, for the first time I didn't talk to Curtis personally, because he was out delivering cars. Talk about setting the bar HIGH!
