Septic Tank Cleaning reviews in Lagrangeville

    ProSeptic
None of our drains were working so we called roto-rooter (never. doing. again). They told us that our septic needed to be pumped so we called ProSeptic and Jason adjusted his teams schedule to accommodate a same-day appointment for us. After Jason's team pumped the tank, they suggested that we also jet it and flush the system, since the drains were still not working. After the system was jetted, the drains were still not working and Jason's team discovered that roto-rooter misdiagnosed us and that there was actually a clog in the house up the stack line. Tom and Mike found the clog and unclogged it to our amazement. We've never been so happy to have a toilet that flushes! Thanks ProSeptic!

they had to dig down 2 feet to get to the septic tank lid after finding out exactly where it was in my back yard. After cleaning they added a raiser the next day to ease the digging effort the next time. I had them make the raiser top 6 inches down so I could grow grass again there.

Don't bother calling them. They are a waste of time and money. You'll need a real expert to come back and perform real service.
This company pretends to provide air conditioning services, but they do not have the equipment or the expertise to do that. I explained to them clearly that my air conditioner had a leak and I requested an estimate for repair. It took the technician 1.5 hours to check out the unit and then he spent 30 minutes on the phone with his boss to prepare the estimate. When he presented the estimate to me, it was over $2000 and the technician explained that it would not be worth repairing it. He suggested refilling fluid on an annual basis until I was ready to replace the entire unit. He further explained that the company had limited equipment needed to complete the repair and it would not be available for a week. I asked if he would fill the unit with fluid, and since the leak was slow, would he come back and perform the repair when the equipment was available. He said he would do that. When he was done, he presented me with an invoice that included both the price of the fluid and a charge for two hours of labor. Most of his time spent at my house was fumbling around without any clue of what he was doing--including preparation of an estimate.
To top it off, I left the house to allow it to cool for a couple of hours and when I returned, the unit had leaked entirely! I called another service, which was much more knowledgeable and professional. I watched as he examined the unit to detect the leak and he used a detector that the Daka technician did not even have. The second tech found the leak in less than 5 minutes and his estimate for repair was a third of what Daka proposed. He also told me I should describe the needed repairs to Daka and ask them to do the repair and credit me the money I spent on the lost fluid. He said he thought it would be a professional courtesy for them to do that.
I was outraged with Daka and called to complain. I spoke directly with the owner on three separate occasions over the next month and each time he promised to call back with a resolution for the situation, but he never did. He seems to be perfectly satisfied to misrepresent the capabilities of his company and to rip-off his customers.
In the end, I asked the second company to return and perform the repair. They did an excellent job and charged about the same price as what Daka charged for the fluid alone and did all the work in half the time that Daka spent fumbling around.

They were actually there at 8:30. They did a very conscientious job such as relocating the tank slightly in order to eliminated a 90 degree bend in the waste line from the house to the tank and back filling the tank to be sure it was settled before covering it over. I did not rate the price of the job since I did not do any "comparison shopping". I chose Proseptic based on the recommendations I saw on Angie's List.

Everything went fine. He came out, we located where the septic hatch was, he attached the equipment and pumped it out. It solved the problem we had with sewage odors and there was no further problems or follow up necessary.

When I called to setup the appointment someone answered right away. They were friendly and knowledgeable and scheduled the visit for the time I requested. All costs and options were clearly explained. The company arrived as scheduled. There were some problems locating my non-standard placed tank but he was able to find it. Because the tank had not been pumped in a long time, it required an additional backwash, which he described to me upfront before doing it. Overall, he was friendly and courteous and obviously knew what he was doing. I'm satisfied with the work performed and plan on calling them again for the next routine maintenance.
