    This particular palm is top-rated by NASA as an air purifier, and thus should be a popular item. I wanted one for my basement, however I  had no luck finding one at the usual local sources, except Home Depot where a 3 ft palm could be ordered for $60. Finally, I gave James Flowers a try after seeing their online listing. Areca Palm? No problem. I left my phone number and got a call the next day that my palm was in - a healthy 4 foot one for less than $40. Now, that's service! (I could have got it delivered but wanted to see it first). I don't know much about flowers or plants - but heck, with James Flowers I don't need to. Nice friendly service as well.

    They always do a very nice job.  They are always very nice and they always seem to have nice and fresh flowers.  The one time when we got flowers it looked like something had happened to them in the delivery van.  I called them up, said something about it and the next day they got a brand new set of flowers with no questions asked.  Their price is about average.  My son had his wedding done from them, I've had flowers delivered to local people and I've also picked up flowers there.  The quality of their service is very good.  They are very responsive.  We've used them a number of times and we like them very much.

    Good, except we did not get much notice that they were coming.  Also, we should have ordered more topsoil/wish they would have recommended more vs. less topsoil because now we still have to do this to correct drainage.

    Did not deliver on time and did not follow instructions.UPDATE: I upgraded this from a F to a C because the fault was with the company they outsourced to.  But they didn't fix the problem so it only goes up to a C.

    The wrist corsage was basic and significantly overpriced.  It took several minutes of waiting for them to find it and in the mean time I had to stand next to a smelly cat that was on top of the counter.    But, having been a long time customer I called again to place another order for the Senior Ball and the person who answered the phone was so unbelievably snotty because I used the phrase "next Saturday" and she kept saying she doesn't know of a Senior Ball next Saturday, "Don't you mean THIS Saturday?"   So I said next Saturday, May 11th?, and she STILL carried on and said "Well, you mean this Saturday then!"    Seriously?  She knew exactly what I meant but wasn't going to move on until I said it the way she wanted.  Why on earth would they let such a person represent their business?  My parents ordered from the original "Fran" for decades and she was the most professional, pleasant woman and would never have tolerated such rudeness in her business.   These people do not deserve to use her name.    I immediately called Aunt Harriet's Attic in Central Square with the same request and spoke with a professional, friendly woman who was happy to take my order.  Looks like I found a new florist.

    Monday morning I phone ordered a dozen red roses to be delivered on Wednesday to my wife at home in Camillus, NY, for her birthday. I called my wife at 3:00PM to get her reaction to the surprise roses. They had not yet been delivered. She called me back later stating that eight wilted yellow roses were delivered after 3:00 PM Wednesday afternoon. I called Flowers Down Under and complained about the quality and quantity of the roses delivered and was cursed at by the customer service rep. My wife informed me that evening, that someone came by my house, after my call and took back the flowers from her! What a great birthday surprise for my wife!

    Did not deliver on time and did not follow instructions.  They utterly failed to deliver properly on 4 separate occasions.  They always blame it on their driver and never offer to fix the problem or fix the problem in any way.
