    Just Exteriors Plus
We met with Bruce Peters, the owner of Just Exteriors Plus, initially on a quote for a repair call that he did not charge us for when he found out that we were thinking about getting our roof done. Immediately Bruce set up an appointment for us with his consultant, Dave. Dave came out to our home a few days later to meet with us and go over the quote. Dave spent a great deal of time explaining the whole roofing process from start to finish and was very patient with our questions. Since we are planning to re-do the siding on our house in the future, we wanted to ensure that the shingle color we picked would complement the siding. As we know that we want to use fiberglass siding (one of the reasons why we called Just Exteriors in the first place), Dave went out to his car to get the siding samples so we could look at them and see how they looked against the shingle colors we were considering. We were so appreciative for that opportunity as we changed our mind from the initial color we had selected which was a neutral color to a more earth tone color with some neutrality based on the siding color we chose for our future project. After we signed the contract and put down our deposit for the work to be done, Dave said the project manager, Eddie would be in contact with us in a couple of weeks. Eddie followed up with us shortly after the New Year and met with us to explain what would be done and go over any concerns we would have. He even asked where the dumpster should go as not to inconvenience us which was really nice. When it came time for the crew to start work, they were working on our roof during some very cold days in January 2011 but they were courteous, professional and cheerful while working. Eddie would stop by in the morning and throughout the day as he had other projects in the area while the crew was working to ensure that everything was progressing and he was always available by cell phone. The crew did one complete section of our roof (stripped and roofed) in one day since there was a snowstorm forecasted for the following day. We had been concerned about snow occurring during the project so we contacted Bruce via e-mail who immediately got back to us within a hour of our initial e-mail and minutes of subsequent e-mails. Bruce explained that the crew would only strip what they could cover that that day. And sure enough, that is what happened. The roof over the bedrooms was stripped and roofed just before the snowstorm came through. The crew returned the following week and finished up the job just before the next snowstorm came through.

    DNW Properties
DNW is a beyond excellent service. They responded promptly to my first call--which was for cleaning services at my new home. I wanted them to clean and sanitize the place before we moved in. DNW gave a fair and thorough estimate for both time and cost. The house smelled great and was sparkling when they left--and they came in under budget!! They paid attention to such details as dust on pipes in the furnace room and removing hair that I didn't even know was blocking one of the drains in an upstairs tub. The team was cheerful, cooperative and enthusiastic and DNW owners, Danielle and Nick supervised and did a lot of the work themselves. I was so happy I rehired them to clean another property that I am selling and have hired them back at my new home to do large (post move-in) jobs such as the basement. You can't go wrong hiring this company. They offer a variety of property services and are very knowledgeable in several areas. They are simply the best. They offer excellent service for a fair price.

Go Green Property & Grounds Maintenance LLC
Wonderful! Used for one job last winter (2016-2017) and then hired them on permanent basis as of 2017-2018 winter. What hooked me is the following: I found myself in Utah dealing with a family matter during the big freeze in January 2018 and then upstate NY got hit with a big snow while I was still gone. I care for a disabled man and I was terribly worried he would be stuck in the driveway because I wasn't there to shovel. I called the good folks at Go Green and they were right on top of it! They took care of the plowing and actually knocked on the door to make sure my friend was alright. They are good people who do a great job. Price for the plowing is very reasonable too! Would highly recommend!

Swimmingly. Honest, responsible, hardworking, reliable. Not neurotic. Excellent communicators. And on top of that, very nice, kind people, justifiably proud of being good at what they do. And they are always on the alert for ways of saving money, and improving a place.

    Preferred Roof Contracting LLC
We had initially contracted the job with another very well respected roofer who unfortunately became unable to begin the work due to illness.  Because he felt obligated to make sure we were well served, he referred us to Rob Hoffer at Preferred Roof Contracting, whom he described as skilled & experienced, with pride in the quality of his workmanship.  We're very glad to have taken that advice. Rob turned out to be quite pleasant, personable and knowledgeable.  He took the time to listen to and address our concerns (ice dams, etc.) and to implement our specific requests.  He's a "hands-on" roofer who goes up on the roof and works directly with his crew.  We found his entire crew to be friendly, competent and very professional.  They worked together efficiently as a well coordinated team, and took the time to do it right without rushing the job (and they continually kept us informed as the work progressed).  When unexpected difficulties arose involving the delivery of materials, they took it in stride and handled the situation without missing a beat.  It was a two day job, and Rob spent the entire 2nd day on the roof working, supervising, and making sure everything was cleaned up properly.  He followed up with another visit to make sure we were completely satisfied (which we were). We have complete confidence in the work that was done, and will continue to use Rob for any maintenance work that may arise in the future.

I feel that he probably could plough a little bit more than he is doing. He ploughs what I think he thinks is sufficient but I may want more. When I am here he does it.

Estimate process went well. Provider was open to listening to all that we wanted and had suggestions for fixing our problems (ice damming and water damage as a result).

    Roberts Contracting Inc
I had called them early on a friday morning after the heavy snows of the day before. We had developed an ice dam on our roof and the roof had a lot of snow on it that we were unable to reach. The person I spoke to quoted a fee of $550 and told me that his crew would be at our house at 9am the next morning, sat morning. I snow plowed, shoveled and got ready for his crew. They never arrived. By 945 I called and left a message. At 10:30 they called and told me they were just delayed and he would call me right back with a time. By 12:45, no call yet. I called again. He explained they would definitely come, as he is very reliable, and would call when they were on the way. They never came or called. With a snow full of roof and a drip in the house, we lost all of saturday and didn't call another service, as he had told me they were reliable. The next day, sunday morning, now 2 days after I first called and 2 days of snow on the roof with an ice dam and a drip, I called again to see what happened. He said they were working on an emergency and would come today, Sunday. They apologized for not calling the day before (we waited at home all day). They said they would invoice me and call when on the way. They never called, or came, again. We have not lost another day waiting for Roberts, who had apologized and said they are reliable. We had told them we have a leak in the house from the ice dam and snow. They seem never to come or call to let you know they are not coming. I don't consider this to be at all reliable. We would have liked to have used them for roofing renovation later in spring if needed. We will not call them or recommend them to anyone else after this. I understand that there has been extraordinary show and roofs collapsing in the area is a possibility. Truly, we are all neighbors and are in this together. We were trying to prevent serious damage in our own house, as we already saw a leak begin. If they had been honest and said they could not come, we could have called another contractor days before, reducing the amount of damage being done in our home. They have not once called us, as promised, to let us know they aren't coming, and after 2 days and 3 times they were supposed to come, are leaving this review. We have not yet heard anything from Roberts and now have to start looking for rooftop snow removal al over again, having lost 3 days (with 3 days of dripping now working it's way from the roof to the first floor). Not reliable service.
