Mid Hudson Medical Group: Heller Douglas MD
I have been seeing him since 1997.   Dr. Heller has a holistic approach.  He is also certified in acupuncture care.  He keeps up on the latest information.  He is very knowledgeable.  I will recommend him.

    Orthopedic Associates Dutchess
It takesa month to get an appointment at any of the offices. I was treated at the one in Kingston
Office staff and MD not very friendly or sympathetic.
Physical therapy was proscribed for many visits--which I felt was mostly a waste of time.
However, there aren't many choices in our area.

    Tieri, Dr. Joseph
Over the course of several months of gentle and subtle osteopathic treatment involving my spine, shoulders, and cranium, Dr. Tieri provided relief to my upper body through soothing, careful holding of key areas in my back, neck, and skull.

    Saint Francis Hospital
When a family member was discharged from the hospital, she needed daily assistance. Her family doctor arranged for home health care to be provided by St Francis Hospital, Poughkeepsie, NY. Within a few days from contacting the agency, the service started. The nurses were excellent, very professional, knowledgable, punctual and friendly. The visiting nurses kept family members informed every step of the way. In fact, one the nurses noticed during her visit something was wrong with my family member and said she should immediately be re-admitted to the hospital. Thank goodness she knew what was wrong and that another hospital admittance was necessary. St Francis Hospital home health care provides a much needed service and has a competant and caring staff.

    Rosemary Deleo MD
Dr. Rosemary Deleo is all for the patient. She really spends time with you, she listens to you, and she will even make a house call if necessary. She's very efficient, she follows your progress, she has a whole plan in mind, and knows how to run the office. She has everything under control and I feel comfortable and cared for in that environment.

    Vassar Brothers Medical Center
My mother was admitted to Vassar Bros Hospital from N. Dutchess Hosp. in Rhinebeck. (during hurricane Sandy). My family and I are very impressed with the excellent care she received there. She was admitted to the Nephrology Unit. (with acute kidney failure).
of care. She was a patient for approximately 3 weeks. She was diagnosed corrrectly after a lot of tests. The level of care was very, very good.
I feel that if she had gone to our hometown hospital, she most likely would have died. (In Kingston)

    Tumen, Dr. Douglas F.
He treated me on different condition to see if we could avoid surgery. I worked with him for three years and it still resulted in surgery because I was still having the same problem. He discussed what my options were going forward and then he referred me to Dr. Keller. He was excellent.

    Benedictine Hospital (HealthAlliance Hospital)
All the nurses who took care of me and the phsical were very professional and courteous. Especially the head nurse and night nurse were extremely helpful. If I have to have another hip replacement operation, I would choose this hospital without hesitation.

    Benedictine Hospital (HealthAlliance Hospital)
Very good. My daughter was given a shot of epinephrine to stop the swelling from the sting. The ER doctor had a great bedside manner and sense of humor. After confirming that she was allergic to wasp stings he wrote a prescription for a sting kit, one for home and one for school. I would definitely visit this ER again.

    Daniel Hafner MD,MBBS
During a standard physical, Dr. Hafner found a mass in my abdomen, and sent me for follow up. While I'm grateful that he found it....--that was the last I saw of Dr. Hafner. The nurse practitioner reviewed my test results with me, and sent me for further testing...then scared me half to death by telling me that an ultrasound result could possibly imply a horrific deadly cancer--over the phone, and very matter of factly, without letting me know how low the probability was. When I asked for referrals for surgery, they gave me a standard Albany referral: but my family is in NYC...I begged Dr. H. through his assistants to get me a referral, but they never returned the call; even when I kept calling back, he never gave me a name. I finally found some names by myself, made a choice, had the surgery at Weil Medical Center--it was benign, and I'm healthier after the surgery than I had been previously. (LOVE my surgeon; it's not that I have something against doctors! The hospital checked on me several times in the next few months, too.... But there was never any follow up with me from Dr. H., , no one there ever asked how I was. . I'll go back for my next annual, b/c he has experience and he listens--but only when you are in his presence.

Also--I've called for renewals of a prescription...they called in the wrong medication. Luckily, my pharmacist caught the error and called me about it. Again--I think it's the problem the other reviewer mentioned...they are too stretched.
