    Safehaven Home Services
I cannot speak highly enough of Safehaven. During the last cold snap the ball valve that feeds my outdoor spigot froze and started to leak. I called my old plumber on an early Thursday morning and, as usual, had to leave a voicemail and wait for them to call me back. When I didn't hear from them I left a second, more frantic voicemail later that afternoon. Later that evening I called Safehaven. I was reassured by the gentleman in the office (Randy) that he would contact the owner and would return my call that same day, which he did. Within 18 hours the owner (Tom) was at my house and the valve was replaced. (The next morning I finally heard from my former plumber. He told me he probably wouldn't be able to come to my house until the following Monday, some 5 days later.) I know have a new plumber and they are terrific! Call them!!

Competition Cesspool & Drain Cleaning, LLC
TJ showed up on time, a plus. The main line was cleared within an hour. He then dug several feet down to expose the cesspool cover. The pool was full. He preformed hydrojet service to reduce the fluid level. He also cleaned the line to the overflow pool which was totally clogged. Both pools were chemically treated. He recommended that a collar be added to the main pool and the standpipe diameter on the overflow be increased to 6 inches. He would need to return in 2 days with the materials. The additional work was performed on schedule. I was so pleased with the work that I asked them to hydrojet and treat my other system. The team worked quickly and efficiently. They carted the extra sand to a low spot in my yard. When they left, the ground was raked level and the sod replaced on top of the excavation. You could plainly see that the work had been performed but the lawns were restored very well. A little grass seed and some water and it will be good as new. They clearly know what they are doing and pride themselves on being on time.

Steve Lauschus Plumbing & Heating Inc
Steve's lifetime of plumbing skills and abilities saved us $$$ because he was able to fix the problem with out digging up our entire front yard to replace pipe. The price gave us sticker shock, but we realize the complexity of it could have been far more if he had made a single mistake. Steve has been our go to plumber since moving to Kings Park in 2012. Our home was built in 1966, so it seems each year we have one plumbing issue occur. Generally our past jobs with him have been in the $450 range. One year we had a leaking toilet pipe above our kitchen. Another year we had a leaking baseboard radiator in our bedroom. After that we had our pipeline behind our washing machine clog, so Steve came and snaked plus built an extension to make it easier for future snaking. Steve is a jack of all trades. One year we had him even clear a sprinkler lines while moving between tasks to avoid paying the irrigation company coming a week later. Steve is a one man show, so the one thing you'll need when hiring him is some flexibility on start date. However, once he gives you a time and date he always delivers, He's also got a good sense of humor which makes him easy to talk to, and he's good at talking to children. My wife has made these same observations about him as well.

I called them because my roomate was complaining of a backup in the sink and the tub.  Since he was complaining of these at the same time I assumed it was an issue with the pipe going to the cesspool as I've had an issue with it before (and yes, I used the same company both times).  When they showed up, they looked at the issue and determined it wasn't a problem with the pipe and actually helped me discover and fix the problem (the stopper in the tub had fallen into the drain and blocked water flow).  They even gave me some tips for the sink.  This was a great example of a company going the extra mile to help me solve a problem even though it was outside their area of responsibility.  Very happy with them, will use them again if needed.

They had to return 2 additional times since they could not get the toilet to stop the 'phantom flush'. The men that came were very nice but they were somewhat confused as to how to get the toilet to stop the phantom flush. They had to call in to talk to someone on how to fix the problem. Now, the handle on one toilet is sticking and it did not do this before. Also the float on both toilets unhinge from the handle. I just feel that they could have done a better job.

UPDATE: This is my second review of Hubbard Plumbing. After the owner of Hubbard Plumbing saw my last review he called me to fix any problems that I might still have. He personally came to my home and adjusted both toilets. He is a very pleasant man who takes pride in his work. I am very happy with what he did and I feel comfortable in recommending the company.

    JR'S Plumbing & Heating Inc

Frank Jr. called me back right away, he came on time and had all tools needed for the job at hand.

Frank Jr. opened the pipe from the basement and snaked the pipe back up to the kitchen, about 20ft of pipe.

The electric drill snake struggled to clear the clog, Frank Jr. got all of the

pipe free and clear. He flushed the whole section from sink to outside. He made sure that under the sink was not leaking.

Frank Jr. added some dissolvent into the sink , the drain never worked better.

He made sure the whole thing was clear and working before he left.

Frank was a professional and clean worker, I recommend him highly in whatever field he chooses.

    Thanks Again

Steve Lauschus Plumbing & Heating Inc
I purchased my house 2 years ago, and one of the previous owners did a lot of work on it himself, including the installation of a bathroom in the basement. I had noticed that flushing the toilet in the basement caused the water from the shower's drain trap to be sucked down, eventually causing it to be emptied so the smell from the cesspool would rise up into the house.
I had left a message Steve during the week to come by to look at an issue with my plumbing. He called back the next day. I work 9-5, M-F, so I explained that evenings or weekdays are the best times for me. He told me that he had a job on Saturday, but he would come by after he finished that job.
He didn't give me a time so on Saturday, I waited for him all day until he showed up at 7PM. He looked at the issue and said he wanted to try opening my basement's kitchen sink's drain to test if it seems to be connected to the other, un-vented drain so he can install a vent there. However, he said that it was too late for him to start the job and said that he would come back next Saturday to do the job. He did not charge me for the visit.
Next weekend came and I waited for him, but he didn't show up so I gave him a call. It turns out he forgot about the job. We arranged for him to come by another weekend. We both had plans for the next few weekends, so we eventually arranged for him to come by a few weeks later on another Saturday.
He spent about 15 minutes opening a drain to test out if it was connected to the other drain and having me flush. It was not connected, and he informed me that there was nothing he could do without tearing up the entire basement bathroom, which is understandable. He did not charge me for this visit either.
I told him that I would like him to replace a toilet in my house, and he suggested some brands and told me to get back to him after I picked out what I would like. Later in the week, I picked out toilets I liked and left a message for him to call me back about installing 2 new toilets. He never called me back, so I assume he is too busy for the work.
Although he seems very honest and did not charge me for his visits, I found his responsiveness quite lacking.
