    Eric Gray Construction

Eric and his crew showed up on time and ready to perform all the jobs we had discussed. Several of the jobs needed some adjusting and Eric and his crew came up with multiple options that gave me good answers

that looked good. I would recommend Eric and crew to any of my neighbors.

    Butler Fence Co Inc
The Butler Fence rep named Tom came to the site and took measurements, drew up a contract and confirmed the type of fence, posts and two gates. A deposit for half was given and I was told the job would be scheduled shortly after the materials arrived (about 4-6 weeks). The signed contract confirmed swivel brackets on all posts, this would allow the fence sections to be installed at varying angles to roughly match the concrete pad. When the installers came, they installed the fencing without swivel brackets on all posts. This left a gap of 1-2 inches between the fence sections and the posts (see photos). The result was terrible. I called te Butler rep and sent photos of the shoddy work. He agreed the installation was not done correctly and did not conform to the contract. He arranged for a second installation appointment. The installers now had to cut the fence sections and install the swivel brackets on the posts. This required more skill because the cuts had to be very carefully made due to the posts being set in the ground. This contrasts to the normal installation method of installing a section then the post so the posts are tight against each fence section. The results were shoddy, again pictures were taken and the this time Tom took several days to respond. I finally had to call the owner of the company who agreed to send a group of installers out a third time to correct the situation. These installers were able to mask the shoddy work with black spray paint and replaced some of the sections. The results were still very unprofessional. As this third group of installers left, they handed me a can of black paint to cover the exposed aluminum cuts they made (it was raining). This is the kind of experience one would look for with a fly by night fence company, not one that has been established for many years.
