    Gulati, Dr. Ashvani K
I had an initial appointment with Dr. Gulati on February 2, 2017. When I made the appointment I inquired if they accepted my vision insurance and they said they did. It turns out they did not and I was billed for a medical claim for a routine annual eye exam that will cost me a great deal more than if my vision insurance was used. I have called and written letters with no resolution. They misrepresented themselves and I would never recommend them.

Eye exam was rushed, and they just wanted me to buy, buy, buy.
Pushy with the most expensive frames and when I said I didn't want to spend $400 on frames I could not find anyone to help me.
Look around before you buy! Price out frames and save $

    The eye exam was fine.
It was time for me to get new frames.  As I was going to be spending money on new frames, I wanted to make sure that I really liked them.  I do not believe that I had been looking too long and the assistant asked me if I was going to be long as he needed to take his lunch and he had other appointments.  My response was fine, take your lunch.  I  did not want to be "rushed" into making a decision.  I did spend more time looking and made my decision while he was at lunch, but waited for him to return.  The frames that I selected were one of their newer ones.  It was pricey even with insurance.  I found a coupon online for $50 that I was not allowed to use because supposedly it was not valid with insurance.  The coupon said "limitations apply to insurance".  I did not press the issue.  Possibly a personality issue between the assistant and myself, but I did spend $500 with them.  Fortunately, I really do like the frames that I picked out.

It went well. They really take care of you during the process andAFTER the process. If you break your glasses, they take care ofyou right away, trying to fix the problem. They don't charge for thisservice even after the warranty runs out unless they have to orderan actual part.

They are very nice. I asked about a certain kind of contact lenses, monovision. He told me one of his other patients didn't care for them much. They are very nice, my son went there, too. We were able to get in very quickly, that was good.

    Gulati, Dr. Ashvani K
I needed to get referrals to a specialist, and I was referred to Dr. Gulati. I had an eye exam and everything was fine. It's a very upscale office environment. The staff is very professional. Dr. Gulati was also very professional from beginning to end. Everything was fine.

My wife had been going there, and because they had been good to her, I went to them to get new glasses. They were recommending trifocals. They pushed the coatings onto me that were suppose to keep scratching down, and cost extra. The glasses came in, and the trifocals lines were off. They said it was no problem, and they would get them taken care of right away (they have a guarantee to fix any problem within 2 weeks.) I got the right glasses, but the trifocals were making me nauseous. I went back to him for 2 different sets of glasses and returned the trifocals under their warranty period. I was very satisfied, but within the first couple of weeks, the lenses started to fall out of my reading glasses. I took them in, and they questioned if I was taking them off in a way that may be bending the frames. I assured them that I had been gingerly taking the frames off. Even after the repair, they kept coming out of their frames. After several times with the same problem, I told Gary I wanted a new pair. He said I couldn't return them because it had been more than 2 weeks. He said they already returned 2 trifocals, and I corrected him and said it was just one pair. Then he said that the extra coatings (that they talked me into getting!) made the return very expensive. They have now fixed the glasses 36 times! When I needed a new prescription, I asked for monetary consideration for all of these years and everything I have gone through, and how disappointed I had been. Michael McGuinnis called me back from headquarters and told me that they would appreciate if I took my business elsewhere. When I asked Gary about that, he said that I have gotten enough help from them, and they had gone out of their way to help me. Their professionalism and customer service are so below average, and I am overwhelmed at how badly I have been treated. I am definitely taking my business elsewhere!

    Hodson, Dr. Paul M.
He is the brother of my previous dentist who passed away. I am very satisfied with him in every way. I am due with him. I will definitely go back to him in the future.
