  • Mark Nightingale did an excellent job on a complete remodel of my downstairs bathroom.  It is a half-bath located under the front stairs, so it is a very small space.  The floor was in very bad shape, the fan and heater were broken, and the walls were covered with an ancient wallpaper that could not be properly cleaned.  Mark gutted the room completely (which is what I wanted) and replaced the walls and the floor, and replaced the broken fan and heater.  He also installed a new light fixture which was much better than what I had expected.  Suddenly a tiny room has a spacious feel because Instead of being a dark, dingy room, it is brightly lit and has a warm, comfortable feel to it.  This half-bath has gone from the most embarrassing room in the house to one that I want to show off.

  • If quality work and speedy completion are important to you, this is NOT your guy. Contracted for remodel of bathroom and addition of bathroom. This job took over 2 months to complete in a very small area. He did not show up a lot of the time, nor was he available by phone. The quality of the work was poor. I was told I had to purchase all fixtures, tile, lighting, etc. He built the laundry closet too short to fit the stackables because he "forgot" (his word, not mine) to account for the hookup space. Instead of fixing it properly, he simply added trim upon trim to the outside to make the door close. It looks awful and is crooked. "Wainscotting" was cheap wooden strips cut in half and stacked side by side. Sink and vanity were improperly installed, resulting in gap between back of the vanity and the wall and leaving the granite sink top too short in front. Jacuzzi faucet installed off to one side, instead of in the center. Worst of all, a couple of years later I was forced to replace the entire shower he installed because improper installation caused a huge leak and black mold. I will never use him again, nor would I recommend him.
