    Gahring Optometry
Gahring doesn't have the practice anymore. Over 40 years ago my job was supplied with safety glasses by Gahring. So I used them and if I needed any work I would go on my own to them for sunglasses, etc. Now I am retired and I have a good relationship with the staff, optometrist and the optician, Bill. Bill is very good. He put me in glasses that I didn't over like but it was the better of the choices that I was going to make. I wear titanium frames and for the past 10 years I haven't had to spend $200-$300 for new frames because they hold up. You can almost bend the glasses in half and they go back to the original shape. I can just walk in for glass repair, but I always call to see if Bill is in. One time I had a lense fall out and stepped on it, I took it to him and there was nothing wrong with it but he got me a new one for free. I was very appreciative. I always pay before I leave.

    Gahring Optometry
They are very nice people and very educated in all aspects of my eyes. The optometrist is just a super lady and all of the helpers is just absolutely superb. If I can't get in to see them immediately, I'd call them and I can have an appointment at least the next morning. The office environment is very nice, clean, upfront, and very good.

    Spectrum Eye Care
We were very pleased with them, and it was the first time we used them. He had an abnormality in his regular exam, so they needed to do a second exam to verify that it was normal for him and not the beginning of a problem. I would rate them highly. I would use them again in the future.

    Ihrig, Dr. Steven
The receptionist is not super friendly. But everyone else is - the nurse, doctor, and optician. This was my second visit to Dr (Steven) Ihrig, and I'm happy to return. The exam was fine - about what you'd expect from an eye exam. What made the exam good was that Dr Ihrig is really friendly and happy to chat about things. He doesn't ever seem to be in a hurry to get me out of there, and he REALLY likes talking about his kids. Appointments aren't too much of a problem to get. They seem to be booking a few weeks ahead, generally; and when I missed an appointment, it wasn't a big deal to reschedule. To pick up your glasses, you need to make an appointment to see the optician, and that takes a few days. But honestly, you could probably just go in and wait for the optician to be ready, as long as you know your glasses are there to be picked up; they usually seem to be able to squeeze you in.

    Spectrum Eye Care
I am looking for a new provider. I had an eye test there a couple of years ago. They do a really good job with eye photos and all that. I got reading glasses and my eyes were always blurry and watering. The weather jumped out and I used to see things double. When I went back, they checked everything. They said there was nothing wrong. The prescription was good. They said they were right and everything was good. It turned out that one of the staff remembered that a girl named Suzy couldn't wear polylenses, so they changed the prescription to non-polylenses. Everything was fine and I could read again. They were stubborn that nothing was wrong and so forth. When I got far distance classes and I went back to them to say that I couldn't see at night as everything was like big halos. The lights were in my eyes and they checked everything. They went through the same procedure. They checked my lenses and did the tests. They flashed the lights and told that I was getting it because I have films on my glasses, but I still couldn't drive in the night. I made them do another prescription, which they were kicked off about it. I asked them to make it up and ordered my oldest prescription. Now, I can see in the night. Whenever I call, I can get in to see them. They are available. If I go with broken glass, they sent me right in to get it fixed. The staff is usually pleasant. I didn't like the way I got treated.
