    I couldn't have asked for a more positive experience - Steve was responsive, I was able to make an appointment quickly, he called to confirm before my appointment, showed up on time, and fixed my ancient refrigerator! He's very honest and straightforward, and tried a test first to make sure that replacing the fan motor would not be a waste of my money. This meant he needed to come back a second day, but only charged me for one visit. I would highly recommend Steve for any appliance repair!

    Somehow these guys got my information from my Angie's List inquiry and called immediately. They came the next day to see the problem and then "fixed" it the following day, for which we paid $200. My spouse was suspicious because online it seemed they should have taken out the unit and they just cut the wires to install the new sensor inside the oven. It wasn't fixed when we tried it the next day, and after many attempts to reach "Howard" he apologized and sent two guys again who took photos and said we'd have an estimate that night. After days of trying to get through, I finally did and again got apologies and a promise that the necessary part was on its way and the guys would be there in three days. They never came. This was suspicious anyway as they wanted $86 for the part; online it seemed that it should have been around $1500. Calls went to a mailbox that was always full. Tried from a different phone, I got through and was promised a date and time for the guys to show up. They never did. Now I can't get through to speak with anyone.

    Technician did check, said it needed a thermostat and that he would order it. Never heard from him or the repair service after that. I called Sears. They said they would send a technician. I told them one had already been here and no repair was done. Since it was less than two weeks from when I received the appliance, customer service replaced it.

    Pablo immediately diagnosed the problem as soon as he heard the noise, and had the right parts in his truck to repair it. He was very knowledgeable, totally honest and very reasonably priced. He came exactly when promised and gave me a price before even starting the job, so I didn't feel that his friendly, chatty discourse while working was costing me extra money. I've used a variety of repairmen in the past for my washers and dryers, which I keep in my rental properties, and up until now had found no one who had all three of those qualifications. I will definitely use Pablo in the future. He also repairs other large appliances, if anyone is interested. And he doesn't charge extra for either weekend or night visits. I found him through Angie's List and am most delighted to recommend not only Pablo but also Angie, as a good source for repairmen.

    After being told by Sears that they would respond in a week, I called Steve, because I was impressed by the reviews. He responded promptly in less than two hours from my call. He cleared an obstruction from the pump for $110 which was less than Sears would charge just to diagnose. What other reviewers said was true. Steve does what's needed, rather than sell extra.

    Pablo, the proprietor, got our machine up and running within hours after I first called him. Out of the three repair outfits I had called that morning he was the only one who could commit to an appointment on the phone, and he arrived punctually in several hours at the agreed-upon time. It took him little time to diagnose the problem, then he set about fixing it, and the total fee was very reasonable.

    Great! We had a noise coming from the fridge. Steve came to inspect and gave us ease of mind that the fridge was working properly. Noise was the ice line asking for water. Since that was not hooked up he disconnected and noise went away. Peace of mind since we were selling the house - didn't want to leave a faulty fridge. Best of luck.

    Robert, the technician, had two and a half days in which to contact me to reschedule the time he set. Note: I did not pick the day or the time. However, he waited until after 3:00 p.m. on the date of scheduled service to call to say that "if I come out to your location, I wouldn't make it back of class."

    Daniel arrived when expected; was professional, friendly and (without a hint of brusqueness) was about getting the diagnosis done. I watched him work (as I do with most repair people who come to the house) from start to finish. It was clear. He knew what he was doing. Though he had to work in an extremely small space, he managed to get under the machine to see what he needed to in order to tell me what was wrong. As it turned out, the washer was on its way to the recycle bin. It's transmission had gone bad. Daniel's advice: Get a new machine, but stay away from the fancy front loaders. Get a top-loader, instead. They're very reliable as their tubs are positioned in tune with gravity, vs the front loader's hanging tub configuration. Then, checking via his phone, Daniel told me about a sale that was going on at PCRichards and pointed out a machine he thought would be reliable and fit my needs. It was on sale for $300. I asked him to text me the link to the machine he'd found. He did, and put everything back and told us (the tenant and I) that she could continue to use the machine for a very little while, but the best and safest thing to do (he said to me) was replace the machine. Pushing its use could become a fire hazard! I was grateful for his helpful forthrightness. After he left, I put him in my book for future reference.
