    Norb Miller General Contractor
We were very satisfied with the work overall. Norb is very willing to listen and offer suggestions. His prices were fair and lower than other estimates. He has a wealth of experience. He works deliberately and does not rush which is great. For the first bathroom it went very seamlessly. We did have a couple things with the second bath that we wanted corrected and Norb was very willing to correct them and did to our satisfaction.

    Crown Construction Inc
I've had two projects designed and completed through Crown Construction. I was completely pleased and satisfied each time. The first project was a bathroom rehab. It went so well and came out beautifully. I then hired them to install a new picture window and front door, which is such an improvement to my home inside and out. They took their time exploring possible design aspects for both projects, and together we came up with the final product. They are expert in what they do from beginning to end. Dependable and communicative. On time to arrive when they say, on schedule, and within budget. What more could a customer ask?

    Foster Custom Kitchens
Recommendation: Foster Custom Kitchens, 212 S Albany Street, Ithaca, NY 14850. Andy Foster phone 607-272-8102 It is rare that you experience a truly ethical business person who stands behind his products and service. My experience would be unbelievable if it didn’t happen. Seven years ago we bought new kitchen cabinets from Andy Foster. After one or two years of use, we experienced some lack of quality and I began calling the cabinet maker for some advice but never received an answer to my messages. I continued to call the cabinet supplier over the next several years with no satisfaction. Foster Kitchens designed and supplied the cabinets but didn’t manufacture them, but Andy agreed that the quality should have been better. Since we dealt with Andy Foster, he made the problem go away, at his expense. We had three wood craftsmen working in our kitchen these past few days, one of which was Andy Foster, correcting someone else’s poor workmanship. No matter whether a company is an IBM or a locally owned business, things don’t always go 100% right. How those businesses correct the problems, is what makes the difference. I want everyone to know about the ethical business that Andy Foster of Foster Custom Kitchens is running in Ithaca. If you ever consider a new kitchen, Foster Custom Kitchens is the only place to go. Norb Miller General Contractor
Norb was quick to show up for the estimate, and gave a contract price that I felt was acceptable given the difficulty I had finding a contractor to commit to doing the work. He kept in good communication leading up to, and throughout, completion of the job. The total work from start to finish took about five or six business days. PROS - The flooring turned out excellent, and Norb gave good suggestions on the type and color of the flooring for the space. I would definitely hire him again for flooring install. The installation of the bathtub itself, tub and shower fixtures, and the toilet turned out good, and the leak ended up fixed. CONS - He did not test his plumbing after his initial installs, which led to two separate times that I tested it, and the new plumbing leaked. Of course, simple mistakes are easy to make, and one of the new leaks was a faulty part, but plumbers should know to test their plumbing before giving people the OK to use. Each time, he was responsive and fixed it immediately, it just made the process much more frustrating. Also, the paint job was less than professional. Half of the white trim is now painted blue, including the trim of the bathroom door which is literally half blue and half white. We never discussed painting the trim, and I'm not sure why anyone would. He also damaged sections of my front brick patio in the process of ripping out the old tub, and neither offered to fix it nor offered to reduce the cost of the job to allow me to pay a mason to come repair it, even after I mentioned the damage to him. Overall, the bathroom looks great at first glance, and the leak is fixed. I would only hire him again to install new flooring, which he was great at.

    Norb Miller General Contractor
Norb solved big problems for me with no fuss or BS. He worked quickly and arrived early every day. He offered helpful suggestions to do the renovation smarter and?followed up with regular consultations during the process, which went on for weeks due to arrival of new cabinets. After the?countertops and backsplash were installed by others, he came back to hook up the plumbing.

Entire project went as planned. Contractor inspected the project and presented a quote and time frame. Workers showed up as scheduled. Demolition was carefully done with tarps and dust barriers appropriately placed. Demolition debris was quickly removed. Reconstruction began as planned and completed in an orderly manner including replacing of the previously removed crown molding. The crew cleaned every evening before leaving the job site. The project was completed on schedule and looks great. There were a few minor scope changes that were discussed, priced and easily worked into the project. The entire project was completed in a little over three weeks. We were very pleased with the professionalism of the crew, cost control, attention to detail and cleanliness. We would highly recommend this contractor.
