"These three polite young men worked very hard for a day and a half and made our 16 year old boat look new again! The gel coat had never been cared for as it should" have been all these years but they were able to remove all the chalkiness and bring back the beautiful
! We never could have done this ourselves even though we are do-it-yourselfers. They had great attention to detail and obviously cared about the job they did. And they conveniently did the work while our boat was on it's lift at our home. Not everyone is willing to do that! We plan to have them wax it regularly to make sure it stays looking this good and maintains a wax coating for protection and easier cleaning. Well worth the money!!

"I paid cash 1550 for the labour and new lower unit on the 2 nd week in January, time and time again they make appt and never show,
tells" me he has unit, then last week he tells me it not arrived yet, then tells me it's arriving 4 March, makes appt for the Friday, I wait in all day, he does not show, I sent text message , email, I tried everything, no answer, my husband and I pass the shop every opportunity we get, no one there.....ever. I want my money back, I want to get unit replaced so I can use boat, we go winter and summer. don't use this service, very poor, should not be in business. Please don't give this man money, you will never see it again

Boat Sales reviews in Island Park

This repair went well. My previous experience was somewhat alarming. He made the repair them started to check the engine over. At that time he said I needed a new engine. The cost would be over $6,000.00. I had my doubts. I made a few calls and the bottom line is I fixed the problem myself for less than $200.00 in materials. I said to

', ":Anyone can fix an engine problem by replacing the engine. I needed someone to diagnose and tell me what the problem is!" He wasn't happy with me.

He came back the with cover, in almost where the whole was, he sewed a piece from there across to the end. He said that is how he is making the covers now. He was reasonable and I had a good experience with him the first time. Then he put the cover on and I didn’t use the boat until Thanksgiving weekend. My kids came and they went to cover the boat back up after using it and they could not get the snaps to snap together. We knew it did not fit correctly so I called him that following Monday and let him know that the snaps were not snapping where they should be. He said he would come over and I waited a week. I called him again and he said that he would have to take the boat to the shop. Then he called and said that his trailer was being used and he was busy. This went on and on and I have not had a cover for my boat since then. Finally he called me and told me that next Monday he could pick it up and at that point I have filed for small claims court, because my boat's interior is getting ruined.

I took my boat, a 27 foot Sea

to this place to have a check as to why yhe engine wouldn't turn over and a bilge pump installed, and to wire in an existing new chartplotter and generally go over the boat. Engine prob was a neutral switch, bilge pump installed and chartplotter wired as well as (needed they said) a new radio. This took five weeks and cost about $1250. I called and called and they said boat (finally 5 weeks later) was ready so I picked up and trailered it home. When I saw the condition it was left in, filthy, greasy, cockpit covers thrown below in a ball, bilge covers laying on the floor, etc, I thought I'd better check things before launching. Engine wouldn't start, sprayed starter fluid in and it wouldn't stay running. They said they ran the boat but impossible in that condition, like a fool I took it back and they said they'd get right on it. Two more weeks go by, they said carb problem and another week, goes by, finally ready again and this time I insisted on a sea trial which went well. The bill this time was $1200 to rebuild a carburetor!!!! While hitching up the trailer my son noticed the trailer tag was unbolted and lying on the frame. We asked what was going on and why the tag was removed from the trailer, nobody knew, a complete mystery. Because of the excessive time, cost, license plate shenanigans etc. and countless excuses I wouldn't recommend anyone subject themselves to a place which has a level of service almost as good as comcast.

He is professional and timely, and most importantly, honest. He always cleans the boat when he gives it back. Its top notch service at a reasonable price. I recommend him to everyone I know that has a boat. In my previous boat he re did all my seat cushions, which is a lot on a deck boat, changed gauges, and much more.

picked up my boat the next week and determined that my engine block needed to be replaced (rust in engine). He required a engine block deposit of $5,350. He said "it would take about a month to get the new engine block in then it shouldnt take more than two weeks to install the new block. It has now been 8 months. He doesnt return calls or emails. I have to hunt him down, says Im "next on the list" each time. In August I found him at his shop I asked to see the engine block I put a deposit on and he replied "I don't have it yet and I been behind, hurt back, lost help". I have filed a compliant with the BBB, had an attorney contact him, had the pinellas county consumer services contact him with no result. Just excuses or no response at all. I would like my boat returned to my home and a full refund of the engine block deposit of $5,350.

He's one of the few professionals I know in this country that I totally respect. He knows his business very well and is fairly priced. He has very good manners and he doesn't like to do shady deals. He's a great professional. He does hand work and it's absolutely terrific. His private life is spent in Locust Valley but he works in Port

. He's really excellent. If I have a problem with the rope or the boats I go to him because he really knows what he's talking about. If I have to purchase or think of updating, he always has a piece of advice and very good solutions. He's a real professional and he knows what he is doing. There are no flaws in his work.

We were very impressed. We have had this problem with one engine for about 6 years and have taken it to several mechanics spending thousands of dollars. The mechanic from Trapper Marine was the most knowledgeable that we have experienced over the past 6 years and finally we feel the problem is solved! We were very happy with the quick service and the professionalism displayed.
