    Cernilli Remodeling Inc
I hired Cernilli Remodeling to remodel my kitchen and most recently to build a shed roof to cover my rear patio. Rob and his team did an outstanding job that I am very happy with. The crew was professional, experienced and timely. My property was always left clean at the end of the day. I would highly recommend using them.

    Dan Bozzo Spackling & Taping
He called on a Thursday night, they were supposed to start the following Monday, but he said he could start on Saturday. He was prompt, and kept me up to date along the way. He had to come back to put the second and final coats of Spackeling on and did so timely. The new ceiling and molding look great. I would hire him again.

    Helpful Handyman Home Improvement
I was given Bill's number as a recommendation from Jack Berleth & Sons who I hired to fix a leak in a pipe. The leak was traced back to screw holding up a closet shelf. As a result, Jack Berleth & Sons had to cut open the wall to access and repair the leak. I called Bill White and after a few tries to meet up for the estimate I was able to show him the patch that had to be done from the pipe repair. While meeting with him, I also mentioned that I wanted some corner bead replaced as well as some tape joints fixed as well as caulking some gaps in crown molding throughout the house. Our meeting took place the Thursday or Friday prior to Thanksgiving 2018. As he was leaving, he said, "I'll get back to you in a day or two with the estimate." Today is now November 30th, 2018 and I have yet to hear anything regarding my estimate. I have called several times per day and left messages since Monday, November 26, 2018. Lookin at his business card, he claims he is honest and reliable. Does this sound honest and reliable to you? Don't waste your time with this handyman!

    Technique Painting Contractors
Ray is reliable, dependable and does fantastic work. He calls you when he says hes going to call you and he shows up to do the job at the time he tells you hes going to be there. Thats hard to come by working with contractors sometimes. I was given the run around for 2 months trying to get a contractor to do the work I needed. I was beyond frustrated. After speaking to Ray, my job was done within two weeks. We had a leak in our upstairs bathroom which badly damaged our living room ceiling. After the leak was fixed, we were left with a giant hole in our ceiling (2ft x 1ft). Ray repaired the hole and did such a great job you would never even know the hole was there. He then painted our entire living room ceiling and everything looks fantastic. My wife and I couldnt be happier with the job he did. Stop searching and give him a call. Trust me. Thanks Ray!!!

    Master Handyman Services Inc.
Matt was a pleasure to work with! We were looking for help to restore a recently renovated bathroom after a frozen pipe burst required cutting into sheet rock in our bathroom ceiling, side wall, and removing a large portion of tile. Matt was able to quickly fit us into his schedule for an estimate and once we were ready to begin work, the project was completed efficiently and the bathroom looks like new! Matt pays very close attention to detail and takes a lot of pride in making sure the job is done right. We would highly recommend Matt and are planning to work with him again in the near future!

    Dormer Doctor
We can't say enough about his team's professionalism and detail to work. He was attentive and if we decided to change designs he was patient and accommodating in every aspect of the job. We have recommended him to family and friends. We are planning on hiring him again in the spring of 2018 to add a deck. He is by far, the best contractor we have worked with. We highly recommend him.

    Rob's Handyman Service
Right from the start Rob was very professional. I called him and told him what work I wanted done and made an appointment with him to come over and give me an estimate on the work. I have a busy work schedule and it's very difficult for me to get home during the day but Rob had no problem working around my schedule and was willing to come over in the early evening before it got too dark for him to see. I had several fair size projects that needed to be done. The three biggest were: 1) rebuilding three (3) Marvin double hung windows that had rotted due to a preservative problem that the Marvin company had, 2) replacing the rear door and frame on my garage and 3) removing a large "through the wall" air conditioner from the upstairs master bedroom. The removal of the air conditioner required some framing to support the plywood that closed the wall and tar papering and re-shingling. On the inside Rob insulated the wall and closed it with new sheet-rock and spackled it. I also wanted all the shutters on the front of the house replaced which isn't a really big project except for the fact that the shrubs make it very difficult to reach the second story from a ladder. I don't know how but somehow Rob was able to do it. The work Rob did was done well and his estimate for the time would have been exact except for the fact that the shutters I ordered were delayed which prevented Rob from finishing when he had expected to which forced him to come back when the shutters arrived. He also didn't charge me for the entire day as I expected he would. Remember, as I said, it was not his fault that he had to come back to finish, it was mine. All in all I am very pleased with his work and the price he charged and would recommend him highly. I have some more work and will be using him again. Thanks Rob!!

    Allied Construction Corp
Wonderful! It was a long process due to delays with home owner's insurance and inspections which Tom helped us navigate. He and his team were amazing and completed the job within a few weeks. We now have our dream kitchen! We graciously give this company five stars and will recommend them to everyone.

    Luis Calderon
Let me preface this review with a quick summary: if I could give Luis Calderon (and company) a higher rating I would; hands-down, they are the best in the business and I would highly recommend them on all levels. Luis and his team were really a one-stop shop which was perfect for us (covering everything from general construction, debris removal with their own dumpster, sheet-rocking, insulation, exterior siding, exterior painting, tile work, general appliance installation, flooring, plumbing, electrical work to carpentry, painting, fine-detailed work etc.). Every task was completed with utmost care and perfection. Now, for the details. Back in May, we closed on a house- a well-maintained 1920s colonial in Huntington. It was the perfect house for us, especially knowing that we would want to update it and make it our own. Unfortunately, as new home-owners, we did not know where to start. We decided to try to call around and checked Angies List. After making some calls, we had a few prospective contractors over to provide estimates and were not impressed by the lack of care and their overall lackadaisical approach. Upon meeting Luis, this was not the case: he was so attentive, so passionate and was willing to start immediately! We knew right then that he was the perfect man for the job. During construction, the whole team was so passionate, amicable and really made it a joyful experience. This was especially important to us as new home-owners; we wanted to enjoy the process and we definitely did. Moreover, they helped to guide us and what we appreciated most was they were not afraid to give their opinion regarding everything from paint colors to fixtures choices, etc. This was extremely helpful, not to mention that they have great taste and really embraced our vision. For instance, many warned us against installing two walls and that open concept was in. However, Luis and Robert worked with us and executed everything beautifully. We are so happy with how the walls add privacy without compromising space. Also, with over 200 available shades of grey, I had trouble assigning specific colors for each room. I knew the general scheme that we wanted: neutrals with mostly grey undertones. Luis and Robert, recommended that I swap a few of the colors that I had chosen for particular rooms. It was such a great decision to follow their recommendations: I could not be more delighted with the outcome! Also, I am so glad that the reviews that I had initially read here on Angies List were accurate: Luis, Robert and team took such care and caution with everything. They were constantly cleaning as they went along and I felt extremely comfortable with them in our home. The best part is that they truly have their hearts in the job, which is so evident in both how they work and how they navigate the creative process. Overall, we had a lot of work done (more by personal choice: vanity-type issues rather than actual need). All of which, we had wanted done ASAP and to the highest degree of qualityand this is exactly what was done: they worked so swiftly and efficiently that they work was completed within our time frame and the result was stunning. In addition to our original requests, Robert and Luis added some amazing touches that we had not thought of: such as larger saddles, changing some of the tired molding, installing new shoe-molding throughout, adding molding in our kitchen and stairs, creating a beautiful frame for our barn door, etc. We did have some bumps along the way (nothing to do with Luis & Co) but because of shipments from vendors and a newly found a leak in the downstairs bathroom that the previous owners had not noticed. For example, our custom-made barn door was damaged when it arrived. However, Robert worked his magic to restore it to flawless. Also, the wrong pan for our shower was delivered which delayed the scheduled timing. Luis and Robert were quick to pivot and adjust their schedules to accommodate these issues. Additionally, they tackled the leak in the downstairs bathroom immediately which I am so thankful that they noticed before it became a bigger issue. Overall, we cannot thank Luis, Robert and team enough. We will certainly use them for future projects and highly recommend them to all. Now, for the fun part- photos! PS I will add before-and-after photos in another post! here are just a few examples of the transformation

    SOUTH SHORE REMODELING
South Shore Remodeling/Dirty-roof.com was recommended to me by the mortgage company. It was a big mistake letting him do this job. This guy has a terrible attitude. He knows more than anyone you included and will do the job the way he wants to. I should have realized this from an e-mail he sent me right before the job, He complained about the storage container being in the way! Hey, We just moved in guy?! He'll be "Nice" at first but then the chip on his shoulder becomes apparent. The first day on the job he removed a perfectly good window and threw it in the dumpster?!! Before you do anything like that shouldnt you consult the customer? It was a forever window!! The two he didn't rip out are still perfectly fine. He didn't or wouldn't even offer to replace it or try to make things right. He'll hide extra materials under the dumpster and will throw out perfectly good materials without asking the customer first. His response is that it's overage. It may be but I the customer paid for those materials that you are taking or discarding! He actually had the nerve to leave tree limbs in ftont of my home, Instead of discarding them in the dumpster which I paid for!! He will not do anything else if "Its not in the contract." He won't even try to go out of his way one iota for the customer. There was a side door on the garage that needed repair. He told me he couldn't fix it. I asked if he could replace it, He then came back to me with a ridiculous estimate for replacement, I told him to leave the old door in place!! After the" job" was done I put three drywall screws in it and it was miraculously fixed?!? There was a small tree on the side of the garage that was in the way. He wanted $500.00 to take it down! I was able to take it down myself with my $50.00 Home depot electric chainsaw. Please don't let him hear if you have a deductible, You'll be sorry! He does not do all the work as he claims, He farms out the sheetrock, Elecrtrical, Garage door and gutter work to others. The subcontractors were fine no problems! When he heard about the garage door that I selected from the Garage door people his response was" You made a big stink about the door" Hey Erik its my garage! He will literally laugh and curse in you face and think nothing of it. I wanted to fire this joker, But we were already too far into the job. When I confronted him about the rotten rafters of the garage should be replaced, He told me they were fine and didn't matter and I didn't know what I was talking about. He cut some of them off and left them in a pile next to the garage. If you lift the aluminum covers on the sides of the garage, You can see his wonderful incomplete work. Those rafters were never replaced. He didn't even install gutters on the garage. I was also told by another contractor that the roofing tiles were not correctly installed as well. Its been almost a year later from when Erik completed his fiasco. I just had to let you all know for I just had completely the opposite experience recently with another contractor who is a real person. There are other South Shore remodeling"Gems" that I am not including, But hopefully for your sake you get the jist of it. Avoid this guy at all costs, He knows more than you, He will steal or discard materials from you and overcharge you. He is the epitome of unprofessionalism and will take advantage of you any time he can.
