    Repel Restoration Inc
The crew was on time and carried out the work in a very professional manner. Upon completion, the worksite was cleaned and all waste material taken away. I would use their services again, as I'm very satisfied with the results.

Lou was great to work with. They pulled up the old driveway, installed a new Belgium block apron. Quality work was done and they even paid great attention to little details like filling the gap in the street where the apron was pulled out. Very happy with the work performed.

    Summit Paving & Masonry
After having interviewed four companies to do the asphalt and masonry work at my home we decided to hire Summit Paving and Masonry to do all of the work, and I'm glad we did. I just had a very good feeling upon meeting them. Gerry O'Connor and Pat were awesome to do business with. They are the utmost professionals, super nice guys and our job was priced very fairly. We have two driveways and were only going to redo one of them because we thought it would be too costly to do both. Gerry gave us a great deal on the second driveway so we couldn't resist doing it. One of our driveways was really narrow and very difficult to navigate because of the hills on either side. He was able to widen it and made it much more functional. We also had pavers added to our patio in our back yard and they really did a beautiful job on all of the projects. We would highly recommend them. Our neighbor liked our driveways so much she immediately hired them to do hers. We have some more paver work to do around our pool and will have them back as soon as we can to do that too!

I wanted to hire them, because they did a good job sealing my driveway a few years ago, and the Angies List rating was good. This time, we wanted to seal the driveway again, but had a more complicated job in the way of pavers and belgian block repair. It took 2 or three revisions to get the description of work correct, and I wound up writing the scope of work myself, because they kept getting it wrong. The price was fair, and the scheduled it at a reasonable time. However, when we asked for help picking out the pavers, we were directed to a website. We asked for a personal visit by the estimator, and he agreed but stood us up twice. At this point, and in view of the problem with the estimate, we decided to go elsewhere.

    Sealing Long Island
2 guys showed up to seal coat my driveway on time. I gave them the cash and $10 tip each and I went inside . He said he would fill small crack with sand and when he seal coat driveway you wouldn't notice it. Wasn't the case. When I came out to leave for appointment their truck was just leaving. I immediately noticed the seal coat didn't come all the way to brick outline of driveway. It was about at least an inch short in some spots. When they squeegee the seal coat they left " lip" on blacktop where squeegee stopped in some spots. On end of driveway was a small pile of dirt. Also at end of driveway was what looked like a long smudge mark where he filled crack and sealed coat over it.Here's the thing,I had these guys last year and they did great job. How do you accept a tip from customer and do lousy job? I called owner George immediately after noticing and he sent guys back. They fixed everything but the long smudge mark. I sent George an email with pictures and them spoke with him on phone. he talked down to me saying I was nitpicking and the dirt could have come from someone else. How is that possible when I saw it right after they pulled away. He told me on phone" I better stop talking to you before I insult you". Well that sounds I didn't expect George to have that poor attitude. They're cheap but if you have a problem, good luck. I figured I'd give him a chance and see what he says before I write negative review but apparently that was a waste of time.

Tim and his crew are all special...and their job performance is exceptional. I had a 6 year old driveway that was being held together with sealer. The asphalt mix was horrible from day 1 and no amount of effort to have the contractor correct the deficiencies was successful. I got 3 estimates to re-do the driveway, and Tim's estimate was easily the highest, but rather then go with a larger outfit, after speaking for a while to Tim, I trusted that his work would be worth the premium. As it turned out, it was. Driveway is oddly shaped and on an incline, so all work had to be done basically by hand. Crew was efficient, professional and a bunch of characters....the hotter it got the harder they worked. Tim was there the entire time...working.... driving the truck, running the front end loader etc. The finished product looks great, and I'm confident it will be around for a long time. Choosing a contractor isn"t always easy....and speaking to to a salesperson who's only interest is selling the job can lead you down a wrong path. Tim does the estimates himself and then is on the job the entire time. If you're interested in a high quality result, Tim is someone you can trust.

sometimes you get what you pay for---had estimates for less---would not hire anyone else---did a great job---family business---five or six family members did the job---no one else used on the job---a pleasure dealing with the bruno family---highly recommended

Tim and crew came at 7:30 am, left by 4 pm and the new driveway was in, everything cleaned up and ready to go. I was able to use my driveway the next day, but I waited another day (chicken). I like how Tim re-graded my driveway to make it easier for me to drive up. I waited a really long time to find the right company to do my driveway. Tim's company was the right company for me. And probably for you. Tim is gruff and rough around the edges, but don't let that put you off: this is the company for you. And, whatever you do, tip the workers. Please, please: these guys work their butts off: the least we can do is buy them lunch, offer them a bit of "gracias." You never have to tip the owner, but count up the workers and decide how much --10? 20? 30 apiece. It pays off -- you never know if you'll need a company again. Thanks.

The work was done in an acceptable time frame with quality workmanship. The job took about 18 days from rip out to paving. Two damage issues was remedied to my satisfaction. The other issue I had, and which I discussed with the owner, was that when I called the office they sometimes had no info for me on next steps, etc I would use them again

Foreman acted like a maniac when ripping out old driveway. Was nasty as well. The RCA was not as promised. It was dirt boulders and pieces of iron. Not leveled correctly. Came back twice to fix it. Owner said foreman was excellent. Belgian block done well. Paving went well but less than half the thickness we were promised They were careless destroyed the end of my grass sprinklers and wrecked some concrete. They fixed that eventually. I would never recommend them or hire them ever again. They don't care about anything the foreman almost ran over his own men. They threatened to rip out what they did if we didn't pay. They should lose their license! They are not reputable!
