    E & M Waterproofing Inc
I spoke to Eddie on the phone after he responded very quickly to my Angie's List inquiry. He asked for a thorough description of the problem and asked some questions. In amazing honesty he told me that the problem was a cosmetic one and not a waterproofing problem. He advised that I hire a painter and have him scrape, acid wash and coat the problem wall. His honesty is so refreshing and I would recommend this company just on this basis alone!!! Thank you, Paul Susi

    Repel Restoration Inc
The crew was on time and carried out the work in a very professional manner. Upon completion, the worksite was cleaned and all waste material taken away. I would use their services again, as I'm very satisfied with the results.

    Mid-Atlantic Waterproofing of NY
Lloyd looked in the basement, boiler room (in the basement), outside, and gave a very long explanation of the job and sales pitch. He recommended a pump in the basement connected to pipes going outside and under the boiler room where water had been coming in for many years. This pump required a lot of digging and opening some walls to install the piping. The pump is an eyesore with two long electrical cords. Mid-Atlantic will not even accept an Angie's List coupon. I had to pay a handyman several hundred dollars to repair the walls cut for the piping. After they finished, water still came into the boiler room and they sent a different foreman to check the work. He said the pipe in the boiler room should have been installed lower down and he changed it. Water still came in after a rainstorm, but their work did decrease some of the water. We were told by the second foreman that the problem was coming from either the kitchen area or bathroom of my basement and they would have to rip out more walls to locate the cracks. That would mean more expensive repairs by a handyman! When I tried to reach Lloyd several times to find out the cost of locating the cracks (which I didn't even plan to have them do since they were already incompetent) he did not return phone calls or was just too busy to talk. It seemed like he had given up and would take the money for the pump that didn't stop water from entering the boiler room. I finally spoke to him briefly but he did not have a price to even look for cracks, and was supposed to follow up which he never did. Luckily I found an excellent waterproofing company that diagnosed the problem immediately, excavated outside ONLY to fix the cracks, without any damage to inside walls requiring repairs. They charged 1/4 of what Mid-Atlantic charged for the pump and I haven't seen any water in the basement since then. Stay away from Mid-Atlantic, I thought a big company would know how to waterproof a basement but with them it's trial and error.

    E & M Waterproofing Inc
E & M came for an estimate and diagnosed the problem promptly. No sales pitch or lengthly discussion, just explained that foundation cracks had to be repaired in the backyard behind the basement, they needed to excavate and fill in the dirt. They charged 1/4 of what the previous company charged to dig trenches and install a sump pump which didn't totally keep the boiler room dry. After living in the house for 20 years the boiler room has stayed dry finally, no need for a handyman to repair anything after their work either! They accepted the Angie's List coupon. Several rainstorms later: fantastic price and great result only wish I had found them sooner.

    ACM Basement Waterproofing
Mark seems to be very knowledgeable about his work and made us feel comfortable in trusting him with our house. He and his team were courteous and professional throughout the 3-day job. They left all their work areas clean each night and after wrapping up and made quick work of a very labor intensive process. Would definitely recommend.

    E & M Waterproofing Inc
Fantastic. I had received other quotes and they all insisted we needed to add French drains with a pump in the basement (very invasive and expensive). E&M looked and immediately saw that there was foundation cracking from when a window well had been cut in for egress window. They excavated, filled cracking with hydraulic cement, put a water proof sealer over the entire area of the window well and installed a vertical pipe with drain in well to below the foundation footing. All done in a half a day at 25-33% of the cost of the other quotes if you include the finish repairs that would have been necessary after their installation. Fast, efficient, effective. No a drop of water since they did this work.

    ACM Basement Waterproofing
Mark's team spent several days creating a trench around the entire interior walls of our basement, with a pump in the corner, leading to a drainage pipe to the outside. All went just as Mark had described. Once the process was complete, we were able to turn our basement into a comfortable den, musical studio, and sewing room. The work was done eight years ago and our basement is still dry! Thanks ACM! It was well worth the cost... Our basement is now our favorite room in our house!

    Healthy Basement Systems
This Company had come recommended to us and the Initial work seemed good ...but then we had two more instances of heavy rain and the basement had more water coming in....twice. It turned out that the Company had failed to accurately diagnose the source of the water coming in, and therefore had not recommended the correct design/layout of the system the first time. in fact, it was another contractor that finally identified the real source, so we then had to have additional costly work done by Healthy Basement to finally fix it, in addition to having to incur additional costs to have the basement refinished again...twice. During the 2nd time we had water (post the initial work), the Company was not responsive at all in helping to remediate the water damage and the Manager (Bill) was extremely unprofessional and inappropriate in how he talked to my wife (who was of course understandably upset about the water in the basement). That all said, we have not had any further water issues since the 2nd fix....but it was a very unpleasant and expensive experience and because of this, I would not be able to recommend this business to others.

    Repel Restoration Inc
This is the second time we had the pleasure of dealing with Repel. Both my house, and my  Mom's house would constantly flood every time it rained.  We had many estimates and all other contractors wanted to install a french drain.  Installing a french drain would not solve the problem of water getting in.  Repel Restoration uses  a hydro active grout injection in the walls.  There was no mess, work is guaranteed, and Mike was a pleasure to deal with.

    ACM Basement Waterproofing
Everything went well.  Very professional from the initial estimate to the work done.  The work was started and completed as promised. The owner was very easy to talk with.  He patiently explained everything to me before and during the work contracted for.  He answered all my questions and concerns.  The staff were all professional.  Not only did they do a wonderful job, but job prepping and clean up was thorough.
