Was told 2 weeks for completion, and it was completed . I receive great responses when my friends or family see my bathroom for the 1st time. I would re hire Norb again.

    Norb Miller General Contractor
Norb solved big problems for me with no fuss or BS. He worked quickly and arrived early every day. He offered helpful suggestions to do the renovation smarter and?followed up with regular consultations during the process, which went on for weeks due to arrival of new cabinets. After the?countertops and backsplash were installed by others, he came back to hook up the plumbing.

    Norb Miller General Contractor
Norb's crew of three were fast, pleasant, and professional. The quality of work was top-notch, they even built curving steps and railing off the front deck to line up with the front path. The new porch roof went up quickly, with all three plus Norb working on it. Nice tin roof on top. They cleaned up completely after themselves. They haven't yet started on the skylight, but when I realized that I needed to have that replaced, I immediately called Norb. He is honest, gives a good estimate, doesn't creep over it, and he insists that things been done perfectly. (He's looked at a few things around the house and expressed displeasure at the way things were done by a previous contractor.) Norb is also just a really nice person. I will always contact him first when something needs to be done.

    Carson Groundworks
We have been looking for a professional landscape lighting installer for a long time! We had contacted landscape companies, who do not seem to be set up to do this. One day, we found an advertisement for Carson Landscape Lighting and we were thrilled! We called to make an appointment right away. John Carson, owner, came over to meet with us within a very short time after our call. He gave us references, brought sample light fixtures with him, advised us where lights should be placed to highlight the best features of our home, and he provided us with a cost estimate within a few days. John is extremely professional, helpful and he and his crew did an excellent job! Before the installation, he referred us to other properties on which he has installed lighting so we could see the effects.. Then he came over at night and did a and quot;test runand quot; of what the lights would look like --by setting up test lighting all over our property. The actual installation was professionally done in a day. The results? Our property has been transformed! These are very high quality light fixtures--not the run-of-the-mill kind you can buy at big box stores I can honestly say this is the best investment we have made in our home. I am so glad we found John! We had him back to install a second round of lights on a different part of our property. Carson Landscape Lighting is one division in the overall Carson Groundworks company. We also hired John to refinish our driveway--it was done professionally and looks great. And finally, we signed up with him for snow removal. We only had to use him once, but he and his crew were at our place early in the morning to remove the snow--and we have a very difficult property. We couldn't be more pleased with John. I only give him a B on responsiveness because he's so busy all the time, it's sometimes hard to get a response. But he always follows up and we are always satisfied. John also installs irrigation systems, and we are seriously considering having him back to do this as well. He's as professional as they get. If you hire him, you will not be disappointed. Excellent!

    Burden Builders
Was very happy with kitchen installation last fall and hired Burden again for our bathroom renovation and some additional work. Not only do they show up on the day you expect them, they are punctual and come at the exact time they say they will. Tom is great at cabinetry and turned two individual cabinets into an island at our request. He custom made the top and put a small breakfast bar on the side. During the process, he had me sit at the countertop to be sure the height and overhang of the seating was comfortable before he made it permanent. While upgrading the bathroom with new everything (except tub), he was always paying attention to the details. If he could improve the way something functioned, he did. That included fixing the toilet flange in the floor so the toilet didn't rock or leak any longer. Even a small thing like the placement of the locking screws in the towel bar was considered. When he saw that mildew had attacked the sheetrock over the showerhead, he insisted on cutting out that piece and replacing it with blueboard. He also doesn't go crazy and suggest that you replace an entire wall. He is considerate and recommends doing what needs to be done without stretching the project budget. In the past, I've had trouble even getting electricians to show up. Tom's crew is always happy to help. Our house is quite dark and they installed overhead lighting for us in a number of trouble spots. It meant putting wiring in a lot of places where it didn't exist, including the basement ceiling and the bedroom closet. They've been in our attic more times in the past few months than any of us have in all the time we've owned the house! If you have any "extras" to add on to the project, Tom will accommodate you whenever possible. And the length of time required to complete projects has been shorter than expected. My friends' projects always seem to take months. Mine have taken days. And the quality is excellent. He really pays attention to the details.

    D&L CONTRACTING
This job went horrible. The Basement was done nicely and it has no cracks in the concrete. Mistakes: Lighting- the lights are not lined up in the hallway and not centered in the bedrooms. I also bought all of the lights out of pocket in a so called turn key house....... He also tried to install gold recessed light fixtures in the house- just cheesy.... Drywall- the drywall was done very poorly- many cracks at the seams only. D&L says its from the house settling. It's only where the seams are... He came back and slopped on some mud which I had to sand myself.... He does not back his work.... The house is full of cracks in the sheet rock.... Roofline- The roof line was not done according to the building plan in the front of the home.... He made the roof smaller thus saving himself a few bucks.... Moldings- The contract said we would use primed wood moldings. He used MDF which is made from saw dust. It dents and chips when hit with the vacuum or childs toys... Very cheap and poor quality.... The house was supposed to be a mid grade finish.... Doors- the one set of French doors in the front never lined up correctly... He tried to fix it twice and they are not much better.... He also tried to charge me extra for a back door in the house.... He thought he'd elimnate it.... Deck Railings- Are loose and not done properly. He used 0ne 3 inch lag bolt instead of double carriage bolting the posts to the deck... His repair was 4 - 3 inch deck screws into the posts... I fixed it myself as a have a one year old and was afraid the railings could come down.... Stairs- interior-The worst job I have ever seen- He mounted the stair newel posts with deck screws and nothing else. No mount plates or braces. The whole stair railing moves side to side and up and down .... He did not evern finish with molding at the top of the stairs............ He did not install stairs into the basement at all ........ and said I would have to buy spiral stairs..... This was a very poor job all the way through. We have had plumbing leaks.... you name it and it was not done correctly....
