    Triple D Truss
Roof leaked in 3 spots the day after they finished 2 guys built the building with concrete in 2 days, they came back for 15 minutes to resolve 2 of the leaks and I had friend take care of the third. Concrete floor is absolutely the worst job I have ever seen holes in the floor areas 12x12 flaking Up Condensation barrier on roof was never taped?it was also to have 3/4 or 1" furring strips over it to give it an air pocket That was never done the steel roof sits on top the barrier? Garage door headers are nailed between post with no jack studs? 6x6 post are out of plumb 3/8" in 4 feet? There was an approximate 1 1/2" gap in there framing between the rake facia and the eave facia and when I asked them to Place a board behind it to "marry" it together the response was don't worry about it you will never see it when I'm done? Quality of work and craftsmanship was horrendous to say the least. We're going to court.

1st phase-boiler, water heater, infloor heating, new concrete floor, window installation. This was smooth and efficient. Good quality work. Grade A
    2. Framing, drywall, taping, insulation- This went okay, many delays started here. A few areas of drywall taping were not especially smooth. Grade-B
    3. Painting, trim work, new stairway- Work became sporadic at this point. Painting was a little sloppy. Grade B-
    4. Bathroom, installation of vanity, sink, toilet, tile flooring- done after many delays. Grade B
Shower tile work- Done quickly after delays, very sloppy. Bob did offer to fix this, reluctantly. We declined. Grade C.
    5. Ceiling- Suspended ceiling installation went quickly. Grade B
    6. Delays- Some delays were unavoidable(high humidity weather, homeowner electric installation slowed by his work schedule, required beam move by code inspector.) Other delays were annoying-contractor's busy workload. We became a low priority because of and quot;outside workand quot;, contractor's 2.5 week vacation in the middle of the project. Work came to a halt. Vacation delay would have been easier if we had known ahead of time.
    7. Supplied by homeowner-not included in price-All electric supplies, lighting and installation, paints, bathroom tile and grout, door knobs, bathroom vanity, shower base and bathroom fixtures. This was known at time of contract.
    8. Price- Exceeded estimate. Some extras were known ahead. The price for tile installation was more than double the estimate.
This was reduced after we questioned it, but still high Grade D.
Overall- We were told by others that this contractor would do a good job but he is expensive. Overall quality was just okay. The workers and contractor were always pleasant and courteous. My husband works in the construction industry so he notices small details that may not be apparent to others. We had high expectations and for this price we expected more.

    Hopgart Construction LLC
Peter Hopgart the owner and a gentleman came here to see what the job entailed mentioned new ideas and type of shingle he preferred to use. Explained how he wanted to remove the chimney which was loosing mortar, In order for us to save money, he suggested we buy the materials ourselves at stores sale prices and he would pick up the materials and truck to our home.He had included in the price of the roof job, the disposal unit to put the old materials in.The team of four, including Peter worked quietly and together. the area was very steep and made me feel good that he was well insured for all men. They came on time and only to lunch, no breaks. The job was done in two and a half days to my thinking. He even took back materials not used to the store for me to get my credit.

    Hopgart Construction LLC
We were staying with my (wonderful) mother in law while the work proceeded and were anxious to avoid delays. After the project had begun, we approached Peter Sedlak (contractor) and added a lot of additional work including the excavation of an old walkway and the construction of an elaborate dry laid stone walkway with steps. Peter and his crew were at the site every day and were friendly and professional. Their work was perfect and believe it or not, despite the extra work, the job was completed ahead of schedule. I wouldn't consider anyone else for home construction or remodeling.
