ADishaw Plumbing,Heating & ACFantastic fast and friendly service. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Our boiler went out and after inspection he presented all of the options available . Terry also offered us the loan of portable heaters for the house so we would have heat. We could repair our 30year old system or replace it for not much more and bring everything up to current standards. They ordered the new system and installed it. We also had them replace our hot water tank and it was still significantly less than a previous quote from one of the bigger companies for just the furnace.. Terry called me the next morning to make sure everything was wondering properly and to schedule a follow-up to double check everything. Service of this quality is hard to find. I would highly recommend using them for any of the services that they offer. We will be having them do our insulation very soon.- Don G.

ADave's PlumbingDave is a super great guy and I am lucky to had found him. The plumbing in this house has not been touched in decades and it showed. He replaced my hot water tank, installed a whole house water filter, he removed a bunch of unnecessary pipes and valves and simplified the plumbing. Also installed the toilet and and kitchen faucet. It has been almost a month since the work was completed and no issues. Dave is super knowledgeable and has attention to detail. He is my go to for all my plumbing needs here in Stephentown. He does it right the first time. Thank you for all your hard work and I highly recommend Dave for any plumbing needs.- David C.

AAustin Family PlumbingShawn at Austin Family Plumbing did an amazing job with my bathroom. Within about 3 days he removed an old claw foot tub and installed a stand up shower. He was very professional throughout the process. He explained what he was doing while he was doing it and didn't mind that i was kind of hovering around watching. My wife had a life altering condition suddenly happen and he installed grab bars and widened the doorway so she could through safely. I recommend him to everyone i know and am very thankful.- David B.

AMaple City Contracting CoWhen my husband and I purchased a retirement home in New York, we had no idea how to go about finding the right person to do our remodel, especially since we lived in another state. Luckily, my husband found Larry Becker of Maple City Contracting on Angie's list after a bad encounter with a shyster for lack of a better word. Mr. Becker is a highly honest, knowledgeable, and excellent contractor. Not only that, but he actually communicates with his clients. Communication for us was key; we knew the work was going to be extensive and that we couldn't do it all at once, but Mr. Becker worked us into his busy schedule and responded to every one of our emails, and believe me, we sent a lot. For all these reasons and more, we found Larry's professionalism to be off the charts. He is someone you can definitely trust. Furthermore, he and his crew do outstanding work. The craftsmanship is laudable and meticulous. Being a lover of HGTV, I had many ideas and wanted things done right. After all, we were paying for a contractor's expertise, so that's what we expected, and with Maple City Contracting, that's exactly what we got. I could go on and on about how awesome are experience was and still is with our contractor as we approach the final stages of our remodel, but I'd rather just end by saying that everyone who has seen the interior of our house, admires the carpentry and wants the name of our contractor. ASee review 2015 for part one of story. I found I stilled worried about water in the basement crawl space even though there was a big improvement with the 2015 fixes. So I called Tim again and talked about options. Since the full size part of the basement didn't seem to have any water problems we left that alone and concentrated on the crawl space. His crew punched holes along the bottom of the walls to let water flow out. They draped the holes to direct the water flow into a pipe that took the water to the sump pump. They sprayed the walls to kill any mold that had formed and draped them with a material that made them look better. They also covered the pipe with concrete. The crew was wonderful, Brandon in particular. They worked hard in very uncomfortable circumstances (hard pebbly floor surface, 3 ft height, and huge spiders). At the same time, they sprayed foam into the space between the rafters along the outside of the wall (no more huge spiders) to insulate. To prevent future problems they reinforced my back basement wall to prevent the horizontal crack at the freeze line from becoming bigger. I am thrilled with the results. Besides the bonus of being spider free, I have no water in my crawl space, ever. I can hear the sump pump working nonstop during heavy rains and big snow melts. I didn't know I had bought in a high water table area and that basement water was a common problem in the area. You sure can't tell by my basement any more.

We also hired him to do leaf and snow removal. All projects and services were great. His team is prompt, courteous, and takes pride in their work. AOne of our AC units broke down in the midst of a heat wave a few weeks ago. Before contacting Sinnott's Plumbing and Heating, we had some bad luck with a company that was not able to figure out what was going on in the outside unit that kept burning the fuses. I made some calls around and was finally referred to Sinnott. I hadn't been aware that Sinnott would repair A/Cs. The office staff I spoke to was very pleasant. She promised to send their most experienced technician Frank the next working day, adding that Frank was the kind of guy who should be able to solve the mystery for us because he was naturally curious, very thorough, and had experience of 40 years in his profession. Frank showed up in the morning and asked all the right questions. He was observant and was a systemic thinker in his approach to difficult problems. And he was an excellent communicator and explained things clearly to me. I was not surprised when he identified the culprit (one of the wires with faulty connection) and corrected it for us. Our AC unit has been running smoothly ever since. In the future, if we have other issues, we will be sure to contact Sinnott and ask for Frank who is a real pro. Thank you, Frank. Saugerties

AWe woke up to water flooded the basement and I had called Jim at Valley Mechanical and he came right out to look what was wrong and then he had a crew here within hour with new tank and all equipment to change my very old tank out with a new one which they had switched from propane to electric and they were very quick at there work and very professional also I was hesitant on going from propane to electric but I will tell you that it only took about 15 mins and I had very hot water throughout my whole house which is very large I would call this company for any of there services they provide and no this isn’t my first time using them and yes I will go back to them for many other issues that need fixing or repaired or even serviced
