    Leave it to Peter

I feel like Peter takes care of our home as if he is taking care of his own. His responsiveness to our requests and problems is exceptional and he always adds his personal touch to things. I could not ask for anything more.

    MIDDLE ISLAND VETERINARY HOSPITAL
He called me back right away. He let me know he was on the road and would contact me as soon as he got back. He was very professional and friendly. He gave me a great recommendation for someone who could do what I was looking for. I would have loved to have been able to use him as my vet. You can tell he really loves what he does. I would highly recommend him to others.

    Island Vet Group
Called them last Friday 7/26 and I left a message since nobody ever answers the phone. E-mailed them over the weekend, and finally got a call this week that said they do not service my area and gave name for another company.

    Hounds Town - Ronkonkoma
We boarded our Shih-tzu dog with HoundsTown on 6/30/12 until 7/14/12 while we went on vacation. My wife picked up the dog on 7/14/12. The dog was excited to see her & the kids. My wife could not wait to get home with the dog. When she arrived at home we noticed the dog had bloodshot eyes and she had trouble keeping her left eye open. I thought that the dog was just tired & needed rest.I told my wife if the eye does not improve we would take her to the vet. The next day her eyes showed no improvement. It was a Sunday and she called Houndstown to ask about the dog. They told her that there was no problems with the dog. The next day my wife brought the dog to the vet. My wife was told that the dog has a lacerated eye and that she may require surgery. He also told us that this was a serious injury and it happened at least a week before. He also told us that if the dog was not treated within the next 3 days, she would lose the eye. As you can imagine, my wife was upset that Houndstown did not take proper care of our dog. She put a stop payment of the check she gave to Houndstown.  My wife made phone calls to Houndstown and spoke with the manager about the incident. The owner called and said he would investigate and get back to us. I few weeks went by and we did not hear from the owner. After calling the manager, she requested the dogs medical records from the vet. A week later, my wife and I went to Houndstown to speak with the owner. The owner told us that he would work with us. He just wanted to see the medical records and he would call the Vet. He said he was willing to help pay the medical bills. As of today we spent close to $ 300.00 on the dogs medical bills. She still has the cone collar around her neck to protect her eyes. When my wife spoke to the vet, he said no one from Houndstown called. Today, August 11, 2012, we received a letter dated August 9, 2012, from an attorney threatening legal action if we do not pay the $614.82 bill within 10 days. I realize that my wife made a mistake by not checking out the dog when she picked her up, but the Vet stated that  the dog should have been taken care of by the Kennel. On- line after our return from vacation, we could see photos of our little dog out in the yard with big dogs. It appears on one photo that our dog was in the corner surrounded by other dogs and was near the fence trying to get out.  My wife was told that our dog would be with dogs her own size. The owner also stated that we should have known the risks of being with other dogs and that sometimes dogs get injured and bitten by other dogs and some owners have noticed puncture wound days or weeks later.  Our dog is still taking antibiotic eye drops and is still going weekly to the vet. The vet stated that healing process for this type of injury is a very long process.i

    MIDDLE COUNTRY ANIMAL HOSPITAL
My guinea pig is still going strong at the age of eight. Dr. Clark never made us feel silly about caring so much for what some consider a "mere rodent." He was very informative and reassuring during our office visits; and really did have a special and professional knowledge of exotics, such as small animals. We feel lucky to have found him.
