AMagnolia Home Remodeling GroupWe worked with Chris from Magnolia on a second floor remodel and were extremely happy with the process and results. The reno included demolition, framing for new roofline and dormers, roof and gutters, siding, new master bathroom, master closet, laundry space, wood floor and stairs, doors, millwork, tiling, masonry for a chimney extension, windows, and central air system. Chris is a great guy, very easy to work with it, trustworthy, and responsive. He hires skilled subcontractors and kept the reno moving at a good pace. There were no surprises with either the budget or scope of work. Magnolia made our dreams come true with this reno and we would definitely recommend them for your job.- Beth H.

AArctic Air ConditioningArctic Air was the installer of a new Lennox furnace and air-conditioner about 3.5 years ago. During the middle of a raging snowstorm the Lennox digital thermostat completely failed. The panel was dark and dead and the unit was completely inaccessible. The thermostat is customized for the Lennox equipment and any other manufacturer device is not compatible unless the equipment is rewired which also invalidates all warranties. I spent one very cold night until I could contact Arctic the next day. They responded within four hours of my call for service and the issue was resolved in under an hour. He was polite, respectful, thorough, knowledgeable, and professional. He explained to us what he was doing, what he discovered upon inspecting and assessing the heater and how he was going to correct the problem. AArctic Air ConditioningCalled after 530pm on Saturday night. Received call back in 5 minutes with attempt to trouble shoot. In did not fix the problem and technician was dispatch and arrived within 20 minutes. Greg upon arrived identified himself and immediately started servicing furnace. Diagnosed that furnace fan limit control switch was not functioning and needed to be replaced. I noted that he tested the switch 3 times before confirming. Being a part not on truck, Greg apologized for not being able to fix the furnace tonight. He ordered the part ,advising parts warehouse closed until Monday morning. He advised me to call office after 10AM Monday if I don’t hear from main office. Greg was professional and courteous throughout the service call explaining everything he performed. Arctic Air came highly recommend and I am looking forward to them complete the repair in coming days and I will be scheduling yearly tune up for my 2 air conditioning units this spring and all my furnace needs in the future- Robert N.

AI must say that Temp control LLC from Woodbridge is one of the best companies around based on my experience with them. I called on a Saturday, Shai came a few hours later, performed the service, explained what the issues were and the next day he called back to ask if everything was doing well. Where do you find service like that? I can say without hesitation that anyone who gives a bad review to this company is either a competitor or someone who wants to damage this company on purpose because you cannot find this type of service anywhere. AI got Anzo's company name through my neighbor and their overall service was excellent. Jerry was very professional and explained/provided all required info in the entire process. I replaced 2 sets of units and they finished the main work in one day, meaning by end of the first day, they made sure both units are running and working properly. They came back promptly on the second day and finished remaining work too. I would definitely recommend them for others and reach out to them again if I need any help for other services too.

FNOT GOOD! After the work was done he said he would email me a receipt. Had me make the check out in his name not the company name. Later that day I had a gas leak. He came back tightened a fitting and said the fittings and valves were fine. Two days later I had another gas leak. I had to call Natl Grid. They came turned off the gas and I had to get a plumber in to replace the fittings and valves. After a week i still had no receipt. He said he emailed it 3 times but i never got it. So he said he would mail it to me. Another week gone by and I didn't get it. So he said he would drop it off at my house. Nine days later still nothing. So i have no receipt for the work he did and no paper work for the warranty on my new furnace. Every time I called to ask about my receipt and warranty he acted like i was bothering him.

FBuyer beware!!! They charge you $249 service fee to show up after 5pm and when they arrive they tell you the tech support for your manufacturer is not available until business hours the next business day. They return the next business day to tell you the part needed is not in stock and it will take a few days to arrive. Who has 2-3 days to wait at 30-35 degrees with no heat or hot water???? I went to a local plumbing supply company and brought the required part sealed in a box from the manufacturer, but Universe refused to install. I advised I would take responsibility for the part, they still refused to install leaving me with no heat... (maybe because there is no markup available when customer supplies the part?....I offered to pay a markup just to get heat in the house, they still refused). They claimed the job would cost $1,500. The required part was $75. Check out Sullivan Plumbing and Heating in Massapequa. They did the same job with my part for 20% of the price quoted by Universe Home Services. Mr. Sullivan is an honest plumber who does great work.
