    Art and his helper were professional to no end. They answered any question, they offered to tell us what they were doing WITHOUT being asked. Their clean up was impeccable. We had several quotes prior to hiring A&R. We are glad we did. You do not need to take out a full page advertisement to sell your service. When you are good, word of mouth is all you need. A&R just found a new customer for life.

    This was our second time using Stanley Gelber & Sons, Inc. We will 100% use them again for our maintenance, or any issues we come across with our HVAC system. They are total pros and great at what they do. I would not consider using anyone else. I highly suggest using them if you have any issues with your system.

    I found Dave here on angies list and did the usual reference checking and house visits of his past work. Each client had only great things to say which was very reassuring considering the amount of money and trust that is involved in the process. Dave and his crew were great, each day showing up around 7am to start work and always cleaning up each day. His subs did great work and had great explanations for why they did things the way they did for my education. Dave was always there to manage his subs and ensure that things were done to what he prefers and was always in contact with me to make sure that that particular work was done to my satisfaction. This type of remodeling always has things that come up for extra work and cost and dave was great about adjustments and pricing. He was always fair and always did what was necessary and did not try to sell us more. He treated this job as if it was his own basement. In the end, the job was more than what he initially quoted but again, with permits, inspections, and unforeseen work that is required during renovations it was a great outcome that you can see in my pictures. Please be aware that basement finishing requires that the owner do maintenance to prepare for the living space. This includes foundation repairs, water management (if there are leaks, fix them, heavy rains that causes rain to come in, window well water management with french drains etc) that is required by you to understand how your house behaves. You should fully understand and resolve these issues before you start this journey. Thankfully i did such a thing, and cannot be more happy and feel safe that water penetration will not happen once dave came and finished. Additionally, closing the furnace area into a now room requires that you provide adequate ventilation for it to burn. Dave assisted me in the end with a vent on the wall to allow for proper intake as you can see from the pictures. I cannot stress enough that people need to be educated on how basements are done and what can and cannot be done for yours. Dave was a great partner in this process and I cannot recommend him and his team more so for your next project. I will always be using him in the future and I hope that anyone reading this will do so as well.

    This company was fabulous. I had 2 other companies (1 being Universe) telling me I needed a new boiler and were quick to give me an estimate. This company cleaned the boiler well, opened and vacuumed flue and told me boiler was in excellent condition and could probably last another 10-15 years if not more (boiler is 19 years old). The tech, John, was professional, methodical, patient (I���m a senior woman), clean and left everything immaculate. I DEFINITELY WOULD USE ONLY THIS COMPANY !

    DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY Was informed that my boiler needed to be replaced. Cost? $6000.00. Got a second opinion. Cost $274 They will rip u off. Always, always get another opinion ESPECIALLY if you are a woman.

    They were quick in and out. The next week I smelled gas. They told me its highly unlikely but will come anyway. They came and said there was no gas leak, despite the smell. The next week I coincidentally had an energy assessor from PSEG come out. They had a device that can detect gas leaks and it showed a leak. R&N finally came back to fix it but were very upset at having to come back and very rude. A year later, there is some rust on the new pipes they put in and residue all over the burner box. I have been trying for over a week just to get an appointment, but they said its not an emergency and will call me back to reschedule. This is the worst customer service at least make an appointment, whether it be next week or 3 weeks from now. I have a meaningless 2 year warranty with a company that does not stand by their product. If you install with them, dont expect them to follow through if you have problems later.

    Barrington White is a consummate professional. We are trying to extend the life of our air conditioner for about a year. We were so fortunate to find Mr. White on Angieslist. He responded immediately to our request by phone. He came to look over the air conditioner within days of his phone call to us; He was at our home exactly at the time he said. He inspected our A/C, checked the filter and went into the attic. He adjusted the thermostat because the A/C was not cooling as it should. He also added Freon which is very expensive. The A/C now works beautifully. This is the HVAC man that you want for A/C repair. He also sells A/C units. His pricing was also reasonable. Can you tell I am very happy with my new HVAC person?

    Quick scheduling by email. I got a very fast appointment except they never showed during their 5 hour window and never called to tell me. It wasn't until i emailed them the next day to let them know no one showed up that they tried to get my business back.
