    Todd Fritz Inc
They did a great job! Many people in our neighborhood had this company do their roofs. So we saw how nice those roofs looked ahead of time. And our roof looks just as nice after they did their job! And we get some really big wind storms. This is our second winter since the new room and ALL is great!

    Hi-Lo Gutters
Second time I've used them. Called back promptly and did the work within one day of the call. Some of the gutters were well-clogged so it all ended up on the ground. He cleaned it all up before he left.

    Repair N Remodel LLC
Rick was great to work with. He came over and showed us samples of different roofing products we could select from. He had a clever workbook that gave us a cost for each option almost instantaneously. It was very easy for us to make an informed decision. What I really like about Rick is he is the guy that does the actual work. He is up on the roof with his crew making sure the work is done properly. His crew were professional and friendly. They were very knowledgable about the product they installed. Weather was a challenge as with a metal roof you can not work on it in the rain, but they were persistent and go it done. Once they started on our project they continued with it and didn't leave to go to another project.

    Yorkstate Roofing Services
I called Yorkstate Roofing Services on a Thursday looking for someone to come tarp my roof after a windstorm caused significant damage. The receptionist told me that there was an appointment available on Saturday. I expressed my concern with waiting that long because there was a snow storm on the way and unfortunately I was unable to get on the roof myself as I was recovering from hip surgery. She told me she would fit me in on Friday. I was grateful for this. I called her back on Friday to confirm that someone would still be able to come out that day because I hadn't heard anything yet and I had to work overnights and needed to try to get some sleep. She confirmed that someone would be out. Jeremiah called me at 5:15pm to tell me he was on his way from Henrietta. I told him I was at work but I had got a friend go over to my house and wait for him because I knew from his receptionist that payment was due upon completion of the job. I also informed him at that time that I still had no power. He said that wasn't a problem. My friend waited for hours in a cold dark house and Jeremiah never showed up nor did he give me the courtesy of calling me back to say he wouldn't be able to make it. He showed up on Saturday morning just to confirm what I had already told him that it needed to be tarped. He asked me to sign a paper saying that it would be $450.00 and told me they would be out on Monday to do the job. I admit I was feeling frustrated at this point that I expected the job to be done on Friday and now it wouldn't be done until Monday but as the saying goes my hands were tied behind my back because I had already tried to call other companies and knew no one would be able to make it out sooner and we were still under the threat of a snow storm and I would be responsible for any water damage. On Monday two gentlemen showed up to do the job. When I went out to look at it before I paid I expressed my surprise to see black felt versus the typical blue tarps you see. They informed me that they use that versus the tarps because wind can't get up and under it and rip it like it does all to often with tarps. Fine by me. So, if you pay cash they don't charge you sales tax. Of course the ATM only spits out 20 dollar bills. Neither gentlemen had change so I insisted they keep the $10 and go get a drink or whatever (I only mention this because Jeremiah ends up calling me self-righteous{this doesn't sound like self-righteous to me, but what do I know}). So, fast foward 22 days I get a text from my neighbors saying that the felt is blowing off. Of course there is rain on the radar so naturally I am furious. I call Yorkstate and am connected with Jeremiah. Trying to make a long story short I explained what happened and he told me he would send someone out tomorrow to fix it but he would have to charge me. I was outraged! I had already spent $450 and waited many sleepless days for him to do the job and now he wants more money. After arguing with him for 10 min about how dissatisfied and disgusted I was with him that he would even ask for more money he went on to tell me that he does not guarantee tarping and that tarping is only temporary. I asked him repeatedly what he considered temporary as I had only received a check for repairs from the insurance company three days ago. And as a business man he should know that it was taking longer to receive insc. money as so many people had to file claims due to the severity of the windstorm. He then agreed to come out and "take care of me" if I guaranteed him the job to repair my roof. I straight up asked him why he would even think I would agree to that when he was giving me such a hard time about the tarping. After him arguing with me for another 5 min I knew there was no reasoning with him. I told him that they had sent me an e-mail asking for me to write a review and he could be sure that I was going to write an honest one. Knowing full well it would be negative he got super defensive and told me he would come out and fix the tarp free of charge if I gave him my word I would not write a review. NO DEAL! He then made sure to tell me that he has been in business for the past 17 years and that he will be in business for the next 17 years regardless of my review because he has a A+ BBB rating. I'm not entirely sure how he has an A+ rating with the BBB considering that 4 of his 5 reviews on there are negative. Well I guess shame on me for not having the battery capacity from being without power to read Yorkstate's reviews on BBB and Angie's list. Had I had the battery power to do so I would have never called them and instead taken my chances with the no name guy who probably would have done a better job for a fraction of the money. If this review saves at least one honest person from getting bamboozled by this company I will consider the time it took to write and submit it a non waste. Another reviewer posted that he received a threatening call from Jeremiah after he posted his negative review. Don't bother wasting your time with a threatening call to me because I will not remove my review. Also, I've seen that Jeremiah likes to respond to negative reviews by saying that he wishes he would have never done business with that person. I'll beat you to it by saying the feeling is mutual. Jeremiah ended his conversation with me by saying "see how that self-righteous works out for you". What a classy guy, Huh?

    Dan Farley & Son Construction
Dan Farley is an honest contractor. Over the years he told us three times that work we thought we needed did not have to be done. Dan has done six jobs for me--installed a metal roof on a shed, performed several roof repairs, and corrected some issues with my vinyl siding. Dan follows up with me, schedules jobs in a timely manner, and shows up when he says he will. I also like the crew member that he uses for most jobs, who happens to live near me. Dan does the home repairs that most won't do -- fixing messes that other contractors make. He takes extra time to educate and explain why he is doing what he does. Dan Farley is an honest broker-- he does what he says, he shows up on time and on schedule, and he won't recommend jobs that don't need to be done.

    Lucien Brisson Roofing Inc
Lucien came and gave me a free estimate for a tear off and new shingled roof on my 1987 mobile home. I took 3 estimates and his estimate was considerably lower and more reasonable than the other companies. He has a lot of good reviews on Angie's and Home Advisor. He has a long standing history in the business and he would not have such good reviews if he was not a stand up guy/business. His crew (son and/or grandson I believe) arrived at 8am and worked all day completing the job around 5pm taking only 45 minutes or so for lunch. They were very respectful and cleaned up everything like no one was even here. Roof looks great and I'm very pleased with the outcome. I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone looking for quality workmanship at a reasonable non inflated price.

    Lowe's Of Brockport

Their pricing was very good. You don't know how many times I have used Lowe's service so that is a good sign. You've got to understand. You have to have faith in Lowe's because what they actually do is contract it out. You have to know how many hits they have versus how many misses. You figure it this way: that company is not going to hire somebody that is not going to hold up their name.

    Hi-Lo Gutters
I called and left a message, he returned my call within 2 hours. We discussed pricing for the cleaning of gutters and he gave me a quote. We set up a date for 3 days later. He arrived, introduced himself and began setting up to clean the gutters. He was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The cleaning was thorough and I am pleased. The original quote for cleaning was upheld. It cost more because one of the gutters pitch was off and needed repairing, so that was added. I feel the cost for all the work was reasonable. I will definitely use his services again.

    Lucien Brisson Roofing Inc
He was absolutely remarkable. He did what he said he was going to do. He did it when he said he was going to do it. It didn't cost me a dime more than the quote. It was wonderful. If he was to do something small, I would have roof my shed next summer. From the first day I called him until we were done, it was excellent. I would absolutely refer them to others. One of the other reasons why I picked them is that he lives in my area. You can only screw so many people in the area where you live before you put yourself out of business. I did get other quotes and had one that was $100 cheaper. I went with Lucien. He was the middle estimate. You have to take quality into consideration as well as price.  When my son needs the roof done on the house he just bought, that's who he's going to use. He's not going to bother to talk to anybody else because he knows what he's going to get.

Work was done in less than an hour. Did a complete cleaning of the debris around the house. Even fixed a downspout that was hanging.
