remove 3 trees and ground stumps to below grade.

everything went fine. They made every effort to protect my lawn from ruts by putting down plywood boards for the trucks to drive on.

Very well. Six men showed and did a real nice professional job. Price in the middle three estimates. Would definitely use James Trees again.

Took trees down, trimmed limbs & branches & trimmed large yew hedge

If there were an A+ rating, James should get it. From the first phone contact until they pulled away I was delighted. Prompt, courteous, honest, neat & knowledgeable. What more could anyone ask?

Nothing

Called company in late March to get a tree removed and another tree trimmed. Met with representative of company on 03 April 2015 to discuss job. Received a written estimate and agreed to price quoted. I was told I would be contacted to schedule the job. Called company the following week and confirmed wanted job done and asked for time frame. Was told job job would be done "end of week or early next week" Called company again at end of following week. Told would get to job "next week". Called company again on following Thursday. Told very busy and again told it would be done the following week. Never heard from company until almost seven weeks had passed from April 3, 2015. When finally called by company to schedule job, I informed them that I had work done by another firm.

Trimmed a large tree in my front yard and two ash trees on the side of the yard.

Mr. Burdick arrived on time for an estimate. He was professional and courteous. One point of concern were some branches in the back yard that I thought may cause damage to my home and storage shed in windy or snowy weather. When he checked them out he reassured me that they were of no concern and not to and quot;waste my moneyand quot;. I was pleasantly surprised at Mr. Burdick's crew that arrived to do the trimming. They were courteous, friendly and very professional. While they worked, they were talking to each other, laughing and, it seemed they enjoyed each other's company and jobs. The crew chief, Rick, did a beautiful job trimming our tree in the front yard. In examining the finished job, you could definitely see he knows what he is doing. After he was through trimming, I had several questions that he answered with a lot of information and patience. The crew that was at my home is a definite asset to Mr. Burdick's company. James Services trimmed the dead wood off the ash tree and they trimmed four pine trees for us.

I initially had them come out because I wanted a tree cut down. I had a retaining wall and I thought it was actually pushing the retaining wall somewhat, but that was not the case. Actually, the water was getting behind the retaining wall but he said if I cut this one down, he said I could very easily cut it down, not only would it cost a lot of money but he said it is going to hinder the appearance of your house. He said if you do cut it down then the other two pine trees behind it would show all the dead areas, which I did not want it to happen. He gave me an honest opinion and I am glade I went with that opinion because otherwise I probably would have had the one taken down by another tree service and that would have deteriorated the way the house looks like.

I used James Services two to three years ago for tree services after we had a very large ice storm and I need virtually every tree in my property pruned and trimmed. I also had him plant a new tree for me in the front yard.

I would say it's been positive experience since I've done some more recent things, I've checked out with some other people in the same business and found that possibly his prices are little high but his near in retirement age I would guess so I could understand how that would be sort of a natural thing as the person is getting ready maybe slow down in their business. When you call him and you need something done and you need service he comes over because I know some people complain that you make a call for a business to get an estimate for something and you have to call and call and call and sometimes they never even reply to the phone call and ask to come over. I would probably use him again because I got another company now that I've work with and they were excellent also so it would be whoever can provide service from me the quickest I would suppose but yes I would call him.

Removed six trees from the back yard and also trimmed other trees.

Arrived on time with full crew. They were quick and efficient and cleaned up the whole area. No problems at all, very pleased with the work. Highly recommend using them!

They took a big pine tree out in front of my house. They also took up the stump and the roots.

It was very good. He had his whole crew here. He was finished in a half an hour. It was unbelievable.
