Ive been holding off making public the horrific experience my girlfriend and I have had with this contractor, just in case we might need them to fix something. But so much has gone so wrong that we are finally confident we would never let them back in our house for anything. Seriously EVERYTHING they did was done either poorly or completely wrong. Its costing us dearly in time, money, and stress to resolve all of the things they bungled so badly. So much of our life was put on hold during the project, and remains on hold as we deal with the aftermath.

The tile work they did was awful. We were assured they had experience with glass tile. Still, we sent them all the information on the tiles wed chosen so they could study up, but they never reviewed any of it. On site, it became perfectly evident theyd never worked with glass tile, couldnt cut it or install it properly, and left us with a disgraceful looking installation. Afterward I had to teach myself the trade, purchase all the right tools and materials, and redo a sizable portion of it myself just to make it passable. The job I did looks entirely professional. But there remain large portions I could not redo that make me cringe when I look at it every day.

I could write a book on everything that was done and went so wrong, like bad blotchy painting, uneven floor tiles, unlevel walls and floor, inadequate floor supports, off-center plumbing fixtures, rattling heat pipes, sloppily hung medicine cabinets, and drywall screws attaching our expensive custom cabinets together. Suffice to say, these guys have no eye for design, no attention to detail, no finesse, and no knowledge of proper techniques or materials.

The final straw is the failure of our shower floor less than 6 month after the install. We had them come look at it in September and they were at a complete loss as to why the tiles were popping off and the surface was bubbling up and crumbling apart. They said theyd make it right but not until MARCH! In the meantime, it proceeded to completely disintegrate beneath our feet. I am now faced with completely gutting and replacing the entire custom tile mud pan down to the structure.

I was hoping to just be able to rip out the top mud bed down to the liner, but having done that Ive now discovered that the preslope mud bed beneath the liner has no slope at all! In fact, its sloping AWAY from the drain! So moisture has been pooling in there instead of draining through the weep holes into the drain. Not only that, but the mortar mixture they used was way too rich making removal a total nightmare, and its evident they put down multiple layers of mortar over each other, apparently trying to get the slope right which they never did.

Suffice to say, we have no confidence in this contractors ability to make any of this right.

He took a week just to do most of the kitchen. This is a 13 by 7 room with cabinets in it! He showed up late every single time he was here, and made many excuses about his work and his lateness. He set the tile over the heated floor without laying out first and cost me more money. There was not enough heated floor left to do the bathroom, so I had to buy more and have an electrician come back to put it in. His work ethic was horrible! The tile came up days after he left. He left a mess in my kitchen and I was left with no sink for days. The tile is not level and is coming up. So now I have to have it ripped out completely. DO NOT USE his services! He would not take responsibility for his mistakes, and would reimburse me for the extra work I had to do because of him (heated floor). He would not return my deposit, and has not cleaned up his mess. He damaged many of my tiles by leaving several boxes of it in the rain. The backing of these tiles just melted away.

Very accommodating regarding timing of estimate appointment.  Had good ideas about what to do.  Did the work on time and as agreed with no hassles.

Steve and his team did a great job, got started and finished quickly.  All the repaired areas look perfect, and all the floors just look great.
