Gutter Cleaning reviews in Greene

I received an email the same day that I purchased the service through Angie's List with options for schedules. I replied and my choice was confirmed the next day. The company representative arrived a few minutes early and we briefly spoke. She went straight to work and finished very quickly. The debris was bagged and on the curb for pickup, and the yard looked better than when she arrived. The next day it rained and all the downspouts were clearly running (something that was not happening beforehand). I will probably hire again next year. It had been three years since new gutters were installed.

We highly recommend Herington Painting! Their price was a little higher than another contractor we looked into, but it was clear from the first meeting that they really knew what they were doing and we felt more confident that they would meet our expectations around the quality of the work. The entire team was professional and hard working. So happy with the results (and neighbors have complimented as well)! Would definitely hire them again.

it went fine. Got charged $86 more than the promotion price based on my roof configuration. I don't know if that was reasonable, but I decided to trust them based on their reputation on Angie's list..

I paid up front for the service as Dan was offering a "deal". Dan sent two men to complete the Fall clean up - I wasn't home for most of this effort. I got a phone call from Dan letting me know that they were gonna need to add some time onto the project. I knew that there weren't all that many leaves (12 bags total). When I questioned the need for more time, he sounded agitated explaining that "they work hard" ... he then offered me a break on the extra time which cost $75 instead of $99 . I got a second phone call from one of the men on the job who is also a roofer, he offered to reinforce a part of the gutter where there were some loose spikes. In addition he completed a "complementary" roof inspection and suggested that I should caulk around the base of roof vents and pipes. I asked him how much that is going to cost & he quoted me $200 . So while I am grateful that the work was completed I really wish I had been home to oversee the work. Didn't feel like a "deal" in the end.

Based on the time of the year, I was impressed by how fast they responded. the two men who arrived were professional, friendly, efficient, and fast. The job was done well and We would highly recommend this company.

They were very professional and I would definitely recommend them. I had originally contacted them to clean the gutters but also to take a look at some other issues we were experiencing - bowing of the gutters and replacing the screws in the hangers on the front of the house. Although they were not able to help me with the other issues, they were quick to let me know as well as recommend another company to contact. I really appreciated that.
In terms of the gutter cleaning, they came earlier than expected (which was great) and also bagged the leaves that they removed from the gutters.

They came over and I think it was three guys and they did a fantastic job. They were in and out and they were everywhere up on the roof doing that. It was a good price. They came when I called them. We needed an appointment earlier and they were on time. They did a perfect job. They left it nice and clean and it was just great.

How'd it go?  Well, I'm not sure, since I wasn't there when it was done.  At least one of the gutters on the garage (visible from my second floor) is clean, and there were handfuls of dried oak flowers decorating the flower bed next to the south side of the house (not a problem...they're biodegradable).

I scheduled the cleaning for Wednesday, so that I could be there to observe the process and make immediate payment.  I got a call on Monday night notifying me that they would do the job on Tuesday "because they would be in the Greece area that day," and just leave a bill in the door.  Essentially, this means that they didn't really care what was convenient for me, they were going to do the job when it was convenient for them.
When I came back on Tuesday and saw that they'd been at my house, I called to find out whether they'd unscrewed the gutter guards and scraped many years worth of gudge out of them (which is why I called them in the first place).  The woman who returned my call informed me that, "we don't remove gutter guards," which means that I paid money for them to brush a few handfuls of oak catkins off the surface of most of the gutters on my house (the garage gutters were open and, as noted, cleaned on at least the south side of the garage).  Presumably, they tested to see whether the gutters collected water and discharged it properly............but I don't know, because I wasn't there.
There are two issues here: First, I didn't appreciate being rescheduled for their convenience instead of mine.  Second, I think the phrase "gutter cleaning" means cleaning the gutters, even if gutter guards have to be removed.  They should warn prospective customers either that:
          1. They don't remove gutter guards or, alternately, that,
          2. There will be an extra charge for removal of gutter guards because they may have to be refitted and/or replaced after the job is done (which is why they said they don't remove gutter guards).
To their credit, they did offer to reduce the price because I was unhappy...an offer I accepted.

I purchased their services with an "Angie's List Big Deal". Communication was a little lacking (only exchanged Angie's List inbox messages and didn't know when they were coming), but they did an absolutely fantastic job when they got here. The guys were quick, efficient, thorough, and very sweet to my almost-3yo who wanted to watch (which I really appreciated). They even went a little above and beyond (in my book) and re-spiked a couple of loose sections of our gutters. My only regret is not having had them out a couple weeks ago before we got days and days of rain! Highly recommend these guys.

They're well known, because they've been around forever. They do roofing and siding. When we needed somebody to remove the snow from our roof, we didn't want to go to somebody we didn't know. We wanted to go to somebody reputable, so we went with them. I figured they would know what they were doing up there and they did. We noticed there's a lot of houses around here who didn't do that. They just removed the snow on the roof. My only problem with them was I agreed to the price when I talked to them and had them come here. It was $300 total to get them here, being $250 to clean the snow off the roof, and they did it in less than 45 minutes. Then they charged $25 for every bag of salt that they put up there. I never would have this done, but I just had back surgery. We were going to have them a second time but it was going to be the same price. There were no special prices because we're now customers. I didn't know this until I got the bill, but they had a rubber stamp on the bill that stated that they were not responsible for any damage on the roof. That should be disclosed to customers in the beginning. I was not crazy about how they handled that. It did not seem professional to me and it did not seem upfront either. Their original contract said $250, since they did not know how much salt they were going to use. They never showed me the bags of salt either. I haven't been able to get on the roof and look at the job because of my recent hip replacement surgery. I checked prices with other people and their prices were about average, and they did remove the ice from the gutters. They weren't right on time, but they were here within a couple of hours.
