    I arrived on time for appointment after a dental surgery, and once in chair was "lectured" by dentist on what he could and could not do when I clearly explained to staff why I was there for appointment. I then was taken back for xrays which took the tech 25 minutes to do , she admitted she was just coming back to office after time off. When I got back in room, dentist proceeded to give me my dental plan and stated I needed root canals, the office was to contact me with details. Since then have called several times with no answer. Meanwhile I have a tooth that is cracked and needs root canal, in severe pain and no answer from dr. I would not recommend this dentist office to anyone..

    This is my first experience with a "dental group". I was very disappointed that it took four visits before any work was actually done on my broken tooth. The first was a cleaning and evaluation at which I told them what brought me in was the broken tooth and need to find a new dentist. However at the second and third visits I was shocked that they filled other teeth including one I told them I didn't want repaired. There was also constant CONFUSION about which teeth needed filling and how much it would cost. Every inquiry from me was met with a different story. These dental groups are corporations and I definitely felt that my dental care was part of a business plan. In my opinion the broken tooth was put on the back burner to do other work before doing the work I wanted done to maximize profits. My children felt the same way and won't go back. Neither will I.

    It was terrible. Dr Barletta is a great dentist but he is terrible at helping patients with dentures. My mom had her bottom dentures relined a year ago by Dr Barletta and his lab. She kept getting sores in her mouth after the work was done, worse than before they were relined. The dentures kept falling out and she threw her jaw forward to chew, putting her mouth out of alignment causing constant pain to her jaws. She went back for corrections and he told me he did all he could for her and gave her a sample of Polident to use. He said her gums shrank too much to do anything more. He even charged her nearly twice what he quoted her initially. When she questioned the price he said he had already given her a $25 discount. Big deal! It got so bad over the last year pieces fell off the dentures, she couldn't chew simple foods like cooked veggies and took them out after eating which was so unlike her. It affected her quality of life and she wasn't eating enough. Out of desperation I took her to Affordable Dentures. Her life improved 100%. The dentist fixed her bite and fit problems completely with brand new bottom dentures at about the same price she paid Dr Barletta for denture relining. She doesn't need goop to keep them in place and is eating normally again. The entire ordeal upset me so much because I felt he dismissed and cheated my mom, so I stopped going to him after being his patient for close to 30 years. Dr Barletta should refer his denture patients to a specialist because clearly he's doing a disservice to them.

    Wonderful. My mom has had dentures for many years. She went to our family dentist to have the bottom dentures realigned. After trips back and forth to get a better fit they were falling apart, she couldn't eat properly and her quality of life was awful. In desperation I made an appointment at Affordable Dentures for her. I wish I had done it years ago. Dr Huddleston saw the problems right away and had his tech come in to consult about a solution. After x-rays, taking impressions, creating a wax duplicate of what would be the final dentures and fitting them to her exact needs she got her finished dentures the next day. She is thrilled. She's eating so much better. Her jaw is much better. She kept them in, right from the minute they put them in her mouth and she's not getting sores in her mouth. The fit is perfect and she doesn't need goop to keep them in place. Her quality of life is 100% better. God bless Dr Huddleston and his staff.

    If anyone needs a truly painless dentist Dr Scruo is it. The office is staffed with excellent people from the front office to the back. The Drs are husband wife and son and each one is excellent at what they do.I have been going here for about 10 or 12 years. I can't say enough about how painless these drs. are. I know dental work is expensive. They are neither the highest nor the lowest price I've been to, BUT THEY ARE THE BEST. And Dr. SCURO is the best

    I went to them for many years and the reason I left was, I don't know if I should say a particular dentist or the practice of the practice to start pushing extra services.  He, one day, told me about a spot on my teeth that they were going to keep an eye on, said they were going to keep an eye on this because it may develop into something, a cavity or something.  I said okay.  He said, I can show it to you if you'd like, and I thought, no I don't need to see it, he's going to keep an eye on it, I don't know what I'm looking at so, and he said I can show it to you, and he said that like three times and I said no and then I thought he's got some equipment he wants to use so let him show it to me.  So he took a picture of it, showed it to me on the screen and I said okay.  It's neither here nor there because when I got to the dentist to pay I found out that I got a $25 charge for showing me that.  I was highly dissatisfied with that because I said no three times, and he did not mention it, it was my fault for not expecting that there would be a charge for that and I was very unhappy with that on top of, at this point there seemed to be a lot of things that were, they were finding that work that they had done they might need to do again but maybe it's the case that you, I don't remember if it was a crown or if it was another root canal and neither of those, they were very expensive and painful and I found myself thinking, if you're having to do this again I wonder if you didn't do it right the first time and I was not happy about that.  Additionally he began always pushing cancer screening and I  don't know, breast cancer, I know many people that have had it, mouth cancer?, I don't know anyone, I don't even know of anyone that's had it, and for him to be constantly pushing well you know you need it, and I thought, you have a new place and I understand it's a lot of upkeep, I don't want you pushing stuff on me that I don't need and when you add it, that day that I got that picture, I mean $25 is not a lot of money but it's more money, it's my money that I want to keep and when he pushed on me three times and I said no, I was pretty much done.  So I don't go there anymore and I would not recommend them.  It's not cheap.  They're not the place you want to go often and go and have the same work done over and over if it can be avoided.  I went to Contemporary Dentistry afterwards and they didn't find any issues that might need to be done again, which was suspicious.  My use of them was I'm here today, I'm having this work done and we scheduled three months out or whatever they normally do.  I don't have issues with the availability.  The environment was an A.  Nice place, good equipment, far as I could tell.  I think I was always seen within 15 minutes of getting there.  The staff is friendly, they get an A also.  They were examining my teeth and he said, wow, you didn't have braces as a kid.  I thought woe, that's not something to say.  That's not a good visit then.  I would say a B for communication because it may be that there are things that I did not know to ask that maybe dentists would not normally tell you that a crown lasts this long, maybe I should have known to ask, or maybe I did ask and forgot so I can't take anything away but I'm not sure that they had supreme communication but I don't see anything wrong with it so I give them a B.  I'm going to say a B for effectiveness of treatment because I lost confidence in their treatment.  I don't know if the treatment was good or bad but I lost confidence in it because in my later visits, my last visit or two they implied that some things that had been done, which they had done,  might need to be done.  That does not insight confidence.  Now that I think of it you have to pay them at the time of service and then when they were reimbursed they pass that along to you.  Now my current dentist, I don't think I pay them, I think they submit the insurance and then if there's anything left you pay.  No I would never go their again.  I was there last in September of 2013.

    This practice seemed to provide care that felt like I was in an assembly line.  Overall, the staff was pleasant, but very impersonal and you could tell the goal was to just get people in and out as fast as possible. 

    As for the quality of their work and expertise, it was nothing short of frightening.  I took my teenage step-daughter there for a routine cleaning and they said that she had a cavity and they wanted to fill it right then and there.  My step-daughter protested telling them that there was no cavity there any longer and that they had filled it the last time.  Finally, when my step-daughter came out to the waiting room to tell me what was going on, I asked for my husband's dentist (who was not a pediatric dentist, but worked at WNY Dental Group) to take a look at the tooth.  When my husband's dentist looked at my step-daughter's tooth he said that there was no cavity there at all and that the only problem was that the filling had not been ground down enough from when their own staff had initially filled the cavity!  After that, I took my step-daughter, my daughter and myself out WNY Dental while my husband decided to stay there. 

    With respect to their office staff / billing, that was a nightmare as well.  On the last appointment that my husband had with WNY Dental Group, he checked in as normal and gave both dental insurance cards to the woman who checked him in.  He stood there waiting and finally the receptionist told him he was all set and that he could have a seat.  When he asked about his insurance cards (there were 2 insurance cards), she said that she had already given him back his card (which she had not yet returned either card).  Turns out, they had handed our dental insurance cards to at least one if not two other patients!  It took a couple of days before my husband was called by WNY Dental to tell him that the other patient that they had accidentally given his insurance card to had returned the card to the office and for my husband to come back in to pick it up.  When my husband got there, they only had 1 of the 2 insurance cards!  It took about another week for WNY Dental to call my husband back to pick up the 2nd card.  Then, my husband started getting bills in the mail for a little over $100 for that visit.  We couldn't figure out why we were getting billed since this was something that was covered between the two insurances.  When we researched the claims with the insurance companies, it turns out that WNY Dental didn't submit the claims for the service until much later and so they submitted them too late for the insurances to pay the claims.  We had discussed the account with WNY Dental and pointed out that the reason that they were not paid by either insurance was that their office staff had dropped the ball and that this was through no fault of our own.  We even pointed out that because of them, we had at least one stranger walking around town for about a week with our personal and private information!  In the end, our efforts were fruitless and they simply sent a letter to our home dropping our entire family as patients (even though the only one left there was my husband) because of the unpaid bill.  While I would certainly understand that we should be liable for a bill if we received a service that wasn't covered by our insurance or if it was through some other fault of our own, I think WNY Dental should have done the honorable thing in this situation and just accepted that the reason for their claims being denied was due to their own mistakes.

    It has been wonderful. I like him because he is very efficient, compassionate and very pleasant. He has very good people skills. They are very easy to work with and are very accommodating. They have evening hours and office hours. It is a very comfortable environment to be in.

    The dental hygienist told me I had all kinds of problems and it would cost $1700.00 to correct. She was telling me I would need a gold crown and major cleaning of many pockets below the teeth. If she had cleaned the teeth correctly to begin with, their would not be any major issues. I went for a second opinion and the problems did not exist as Q dental was telling me. I would not recommend the Q Dental Group to any one.

    They did so well for me. My wife started going there and also my son. I recommended them to couple of people. They are very professional and their workmanship is great. Any issues that I had; one of the crowns had cracked and they replaced it with no charge. They guarantee their work and they follow through. The staff is extremely professional and friendly.
