This was our first time hiring Walker Painting. They did a wonderful job. The workers worked daily from beginning to completion. The number of workers sent daily varied and was adjusted as determined by the company owner. The owner sent a worker back to fix minor issues after they were fully paid. Their workers were experienced, pleasant, quiet, unobtrusive and hardworking. They were also neat and did not rinse out their paint laden equipment on our property. This painting contractor company was licensed and insured as required by the Nassau County Department of Consumer Affairs when we hired them as Walker Painting LLC, under the address 2215 Jackson Avenue, Seaford NY 11783, phone number 516-938-9361, License number H38076300. They apparently moved from the Wantagh location, under which they are currently listed under Angie's list. The owner accepted credit card payments. The only painting contractor I have encountered to date who was readily agreeable to making arrangements for an outdoor contractor's portable toilet. The owner does a good job hiring, supervising and operating his company in a professional manner that respects customer's budget, time and property. He provides quality workmanship. Although we have not yet experienced it, this company can also do exterior painting of stucco houses and power washing of paver driveways. We expect that we will hire Walker Painting again and experience more of their services.

I interviewed a number of painters/home improvement people and Kevin O'Donoghue was the only one who a) appreciated the architecture of my historic house and b) proved to be a partner, not telling me what to do or condescending to me but really working with me. I wanted a craftsman but couldn't afford a true restoration. His team exceeded expectations of care and quality. He also brought the wide combination of skills that I needed - not just painting, but tile work, re-grouting, taking down a false ceiling in the bathroom, where Kevin worked with me to achieve the faux look I wanted. They changed my switches and installed new light fixtures. His crew was extremely hard working. I am planning to have Kevin and his crew back for phase 2.

    1. I own four multi-family homes.  Andrew the owner of Home Beautiful Painting has been my exclusive Painting Contractor for over 5 years.  His most recent work was a complete apartment renovation which included the basement area.  They completely demolished the basement including taking down the old paneling that covered the basement walls and replacing it with new drywall. They taped plastered, painted, replaced baseboard molding and new doors and hardware throughout. In the master bedroom they took down old wallpaper and mirrors and completely sheetrocked and painted. They also repaired two ceilings that had water damage from a leak in the apartment above.

Andrew has been my go to person for any issues that have come up in my homes.  He responds to my calls immediately and has helped me trouble shoot numerous issues.  His workers are professional, polite and meticulous.   There have been times when I have been in a time crunch due to one tenant leaving and another coming in.  Andrew has never disappointed me. When he tells you a date of completion he is always exact, which in my situation is very important.
I have been on vacation when tenants have had issues  (water damage, pipes bursting), Andrew is the first person I dial.
He always guides me in the right direction.  A gentleman and a professional, I would never consider using anyone else.

I started by calling a general contractor as the house needed work in many areas.  I explained  the time sensitivity and the need to prioritize the plaster repairs - when they finally came to the house they told me they could certainly perform all the work I showed them and would call me back in a few days with an estimate.  After two weeks of not hearing from them, I had to chase this other contractor only to be told that the plaster repairs were out of their league - that left me only three weeks to get my baby daughter's room fixed.  (p.s. after that experience, this other contractor got none of my business).

I found PNP Craftsmen by doing a Google search (I wish I knew about Angie's List then) and read the limited reviews I could find, which impressed me - I spoke to the owner who said he have his estimator, Joe Rupp call me.  Before I could wonder how many days that might be, my phone rang and it was Joe.  I explained the time sensitivity and Joe immediately offered to come first thing during the weekend, when I'd be at the house.   Joe was very professional - it was clear from the questions he asked and from his comments and advice on how to handle different spots that he understood plaster and plaster repair quite well.    Joe promised to get me a quote quickly and he did.  Further, I was afraid he would gouge me due to the time sensitivity and that I wouldn't be able to afford the repairs at all - but I was pleasantly surprised when he came back with an estimate that seemed reasonable.   Further, understanding my time urgency, PNP Craftsmen arranged schedules to make sure they could get in _that week_ - which was extremely important to give me enough time to make other repairs and paint  the nursery before the move.

His team of two people were very professional.  Lisa, who led the efforts, was very nice and accommodating.   Moreover, when they began working Joe offered to provide a quote for some of the wallpaper removal - he was able to offer a competitive rate as he already had a team in his house.

Getting to the actual work, Lisa was extremely helpful in explaining what was happening with the damaged ceiling - she walked me through how the problem occurred and what it would take to repair as a quick fix (patching the ceiling) versus a long-term fix (replacing the ceiling).  It helped a great deal with deciding what to do.   And to sum up, when you look at the previously badly damaged ceiling and walls you can't tell anymore that they were damaged - they look fantastic.  And I'm truly amazed by how much they completed in just three days.

Joe Rupp even came by after the job was completed to walk-through the house and look at each and every major repair with me and ask if I was happy with each.  That was truly appreciated.

I would hire PNP Craftsmen again in a heartbeat.
