First time: It took a week to be told that the tech did not report to the company. A week later, we were told it was "wear and tear." Uncovered. That equaled two weeks in the hot summer without AC. Second time: Washer broke down. We were told the inside was "broken." Wear and tear reported. Dryer broke down, not tumbling: We were told it's not tumbling. Really?? You're kidding?!... Wear and tear reported. WHAT DO YOU FIX? ANYTHING? DO YOU CHARGE PREMIUMS AND DEEM EVERYTHING WEAR AND TEAR? THINGS BREAK. DO YOU INSURE ANYTHING? GOODBYE. WE ARE DONE WITH YOUR SHODDY SERVICE AND THIEVERY.

Well! The work was done as promised, quickly and efficiently. They started and finished within a week. Everyone was pleasant and prompt. The owner Eric is easy to contact with calls and texting. I would highly recommend him and the company!

I need to clarify that there are two listings for Clearview, one in Northport and one in Port Washington. They are related. Since the one in Northport was the only listing on Angies List, that is the one I called, and I dealt with someone named David, who had a Suffolk County phone number. I left a review for the Northport site. I have been told by someone at Northport that I left an earlier, incorrect review for their company instead of for Port Washington. However, David said they are basically the same company. They did a good job on the leaders and gutters and David told me what he found as the problem with the leak. I said I would call the contractor who did the entire outside of the house, from the shingles to the roofing and everything else, and run it by him. Why contractor disagreed with the findings, and told me what he thought the problem was. I left three messages for David but he never got back to me. I did not tell him there was a conflict in the two diagnoses, but only that the contractor had been here and I wanted to discuss the problem with him. Extremely unprofessional not to call back.

In preparation for listing my mother's house for sale, I took the day off from work, thinking I'd get a couple of estimates and have to come back to the house to supervise. Travis and his team arrived on time (well, a little later than expected, but they called to let me know about the delay), with his truck and crew. A little over two hours later, the truck was mostly full and they'd agreed to take 3 cubic yards of brick from the property and dispose of it the following morning. Working with Travis and his crew was terrific. They were professional and thorough. I do wish I'd looked at a couple of corners more closely and asked them to take out a few things I missed when I walked them through, but I will be hiring them again after the house is sold and was very happy with our first round of junk removal.

Doug and his team were fantastic. Not only were they professional and efficient, they were sensitive to my situation and helped make a challenging situation manageable. The process was smooth and the results of the sale certainly exceeded my expectations. They were a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend them Judy M.

I have nothing but good things to say about D & M Appliance Repair. The positive experience began when one of the owners answered my phone call on Sunday of a recent holiday weekend! We made an appointment for later that week. The technician called to confirm the appointment and called again to say that he was on his way. (Often techs say they will call, but fail to do so) He diagnosed the problem quickly, ordered the necessary part and installed it a couple of days later, in spite of a severe snowstorm which messed up their schedule. He installed the part quickly, efficiently and at a reasonable cost. I found D & M to be courteous and knowledgeable and will use them again.

This is one company I would urge people to never, ever let into your home. He came to me through the painter I hired ( and I will review him elsewhere!) who gets a percentage of what he charges. He was called in to bring up a line from the basement for my cable TV and computers and to activate a telephone jack on my first floor so that I could use my answering machine (I hate voicemail). He was also supposed to bring wiring to my bedroom for my TV and to activate a phone jack for a fax machine on the second floor. The people who had lived here simply had everything in the basement, with no ones coming up into the rest of the house.

He spent most of his time trying to talk me into wiring the whole house with Sonos. I told him I was not interested in doing anything abut a sound system right now, but he kept pushing.

Supposedly his guy did over two days of work here before I moved in. The painters men were here to let him in. He claimed he ran a line for the TV to my bedroom, but I found out later it was the electrician who did that, as well as a couple of other things this guy took credit for, like the phone jack for the fax machine. Both of those lines, BTW, did not work and the cable company had to rectify the situation.

I moved in on a Thursday night, the movers arrived Friday and the boss from ADR came over on Saturday to mount the TV before the cable company arrived. He talked me into a new TV which he sent someone out to pick up and mounted it.

I was then charged 25% more for the TV than I could have picked it up for at any retail store. He insisted the price I could get it for was only a promotional price. Not true. It was readily available at every store, for the same price, and both before and after he purchased it.He bought a Samsung, put the one connect behind the TV on the wall, where Samsung says it does not belong, since it is there to attach other peripherals. Now I can not do that till I get someone to take the TV down and put the box where it belongs. He charged me for, and installed an IR, claiming the TV would not work without it. Of course it works without it. It was totally unnecessary and he never asked me about it or got my permission to purchase it. He also charged me a good more than I could have bought it for online, had I even needed it. He then billed me for the supposed two days of work which included hooking up my computers, my printers, setting up my Wifi, updating my software, hooking up two Rokus where I was not getting cable boxes, and hooking up the computers to the modem and router, and the TVs to the cable boxes.

Just one problem. There was no equipment in the house at all till after these guys were supposedly finished doing whatever work they claimed they were doing for those two days. There is no way they could have hooked up anything since nothing was here for them to hook up. The cable company set up my modem and router, and my computers picked up my network immediately, connected my TVs to the cable boxes. I did not even take my printers out of their cartons till two weeks after I moved in and the two Rokus were, and still are, in their sealed plastic packages. Therefore, ADR did not hook up my printers OR the Rokus.

I was charged thousands of dollars for work which was not done, and dont think I have ever dealt with a company which was as dishonest as this one. I ultimately paid him for the TV, at the price I could have bought it for retail, and some extra for work which they may have done, but I have never had someone claim to have done work which could not possibly have been done. and then charge thousands of dollars for it. The painter actually stuck up for this guy, but of course he is a friend of his. Needless to say, I wont be using the painter again either. If he can cover for someone who charges for work not done, then he probably does the same himself ( and I have seen that he does), and I will cover that on another review.

The service call went very well. I have used Steve before and I will continue to use him. He is fair and professional. He came within a day of my call to him and he was able to fully repair my dryer,. He is straight forward and honest and I wouldn't use anyone else.

It went great! I really didn't want the really posed and propped newborn photos where my baby looks like every other baby. Lauren was perfect as she comes to your home and does lifestyle photos. She did very light posing while baby was sleeping using one of my benches at home, and it came out beautiful. very custom. Also love the photos of my husband and I embracing baby. She captured the love and emotion. can't say enough good things about Lauren gallery.

They two young men arrived on time, were extremely polite and good-natured, took what I wanted out to the truck, and actually moved two awkwardly heavy chairs from one room to another as a favor with a smile and a "no problem."
