They are wonderful. The cost was about one third of what I had been paying for another gardener, one who kept charging me for pruning which hen never did, and a lot of what were unnecessary services such as spraying of trees, deep root feeding, and other services. My property looked just as good as it did when I paid three times as much. Actually, it even looked better.

They did some decent work, but they go overboard with services they want to perform, or say they performed, whether you agree to it or not.  At one point, one of the bosses told me that felt they had to do what they felt needed doing at the time they saw a need.  My answer was that it was up to me, not them, and I was told they don't work that way.  At one point, I came outside to find their men "cleaning out" an area of branches and vines which shield my property from the property next door, and which had deliberately been left overgrown to provide privacy.   When I asked them why they were doing it, I was told they had been "told to do some cleaning up".  I stopped them cold, and I was told I would not be charged, but I think they padded a later bill, in order to make up for the work the men had already done before being stopped.  Their charges are ludicrous.  I believe they do a lot of commercial work, as well, so perhaps it is not worth it to them to do mundane residential work without getting massive amounts of money.  The bottom line is - if you want to spend a fortune, have work done which you specifically tell them not to do, get charged for work which was not done ( all I can prove is the liming of the lawn), then use them.  Otherwise, steer clear.  BTW, they are notoriously unreliable when you call them because you NEED something done, and three or four calls are often necessary before you even get a response.  If there's no immediate promise of big bucks, they are very lax.

This was a perfect job from start to finish. The crew was pleasant, respectful and professional. The workspace was always kept clean and each step was done in a timely fashion and as promised. There were no surprises in costs - everything was discussed up front and clearly defined.
We were upgrading our garden in order to have an outdoor going away party in late summer. Bob and his crew came to us through Sweet Earth Landscape design. They were to be the guys who did the "heavy lifting" in completing Chris Sawicki's lovely designs.
Not only did they do that, but they worked with us to get the garden into the best possible shape with major
trimming, mulching and general "tweaking" a mature space.
Through this process we decided to replace a messy plot of tangled greens with a patio. Bob helped us design and install a magnificent patio as well as solved some important drainage problems. I can't say enough about how pleased we are with Bob's work.

They did a nice job. I looked them up on Angie's list as well. I think they were competitively priced. They were fair. They did a nice design. They listened to what I wanted and did a nice design. The staff was organized and efficient. They got the job done in less than a day. They came with a crew and I was really happy that it looked pretty afterwards. The quality of their work was good. He will come if you call him and let him know that he is supposed to come. I will use them again in the future if needed.

The truck arrives each Tuesday around 9:00 am and the guys know just what to do. I do not have to be home, as they do not need to enter the house. They work very well together, and I have been very pleased with their work. Unfortunately, the regular timing doesn't always agree with the weather, as grass should not be cut when it is wet.. Still, I understand they need to keep to a schedule, and they always do a good job. I have used Ed Javora Landscaping for many years, and I am quite happy with him and his team of workers. He is happy to give advice or suggestions when you need it. Also, he lives in the neighborhood, and he is a "regular guy" who is readily accessible if need be.

Almstead Tree & Shrub Care Co
Arborist was punctual, professional, informative. Thorough inspection yielded no obvious problems: no bugs, no disease, no fungus, etc. Probable cause cited: heavy snow and cold the winter before, possibly not enough water despite sprinkler system. Further inspection showed little or no root system despite 20 years of excellent growth in the same place. Very knowledgeable and willing to explain in detail, but for me not conclusive enough for 10 dead arborvitae. Arborist suggesting replacement of dead trees, with associate costs, and program of soil treatment for retention of soil and conditioning. After consideration, I decided to do one soil treatment, then wait one year (another NY winter)

No charge for consultation, however, I requested one time deep feeding and soil conditioning for the 15 remaining trees. This was done satisfactorily, for approx. $300. So far this year no more trees have died.

I was offered a self-renewing contract for maintenance, which I declined.

I had used Fernando for hardscaping around the house and was very happy with the outcome and decided to use him for landscaping as well. He and his crew are top notch and have an incredible work ethic. Any issues I had he was on top of. He is incredibly responsive and has tremendous pride in what he does. The outcome is a very beautiful lawn.

The price we pay to have our yard maintained by this company is very low compared to other companies in our area and what they are asking money-wise. Eagle has really provided us with good services at fair price. That is why I like giving them my business.

He was not responsive. He did not do what he was supposed to do, and when I asked him to repair what was done, I gave him more than a month to follow up and he is still not responding. I filed a BBB complaint, and he has yet to respond to that. I've been chasing him with calls, and when I finally did speak to him, he said he was sick of talking to me. He's already gotten my money and hasn't even finished the job.
