Hardscaping reviews in Great Neck

Nice showroom and the guys were very nice. We spent an hour to go there and see them and they gave us a cost per square foot to change the pavers in our backyard (About 3,000 square feet). I asked them to come in and measure so we can start the job. When the estimate came it was double what it was supposed to be based on the estimate they gave us at the showroom. I called a few times to discuss it or at least find out what had made the difference but never received a phone call back. The ended up being a tremendous waste of my time. I had another contractor install for half the price without the reneging.

I interviewed eight masonry contractors from Angie's List. I obtained a rainbow of ideas and prices. I thought it was interesting how many "older" experienced contractors were telling me how I wanted to renovate the back yard. So many men were ambivalent about my wishes telling me what they wanted to do to my yard. I guess some homeowners don't know what they want, however, I knew what I wanted to do. I have dealt with many contractors in my real estate business, so I was no Babe in the woods. When I met Devin, the owner of Flawless Masonry, things got off to a terrific start the minute I met him. He listened to what I had to say and then tactfully made suggestions based on some sketches I had made and a physical layout I had put together with string. Devin put my ideas into a computer program to design a three-dimensional image. I gave him a very small $500 deposit to book the job with him. His pricing matched the budget I presented to him. If additional work came up, which it did, I had a price per square foot that Devin and I agreed to. He presented everything to me up front and on the table from the start. I did have to wait a few extra weeks to commence the job due to weather delays, but once the job was started, work didn't stop until the job was completed. Of course I made several changes along the way and Devin did not "nickel and dime" me to death. The workmanship was absolutely "flawless" and Devin is to be congratulated for being an exceptional contractor, trustworthy and honest. Very few contractors in any trade match his high integrity. I will use Devin in in the future, and I will make myself available for comment to other homeowners as a reference. Five stars for Flawless Masonry.

The Pitti Brothers are committed to their workmanship and timely completion.  Joe came by to see the site and gave fair quote on the spot.  Work started on time as promised.  Owner on site at all times.  Dan and team did a great job ? very meticulous with the measurements and leveling every step of the way.  They did an amazing job with the patio and front porch.  For the stucco around the house, I had requested the ?textured? finish but I did not like the look of once applied.  The next day they chipped away the newly finished wall and applied the ?smooth? finish for no additional charge.  Overall great experience, will call them again next year for the driveway.

This was a perfect job from start to finish. The crew was pleasant, respectful and professional. The workspace was always kept clean and each step was done in a timely fashion and as promised. There were no surprises in costs - everything was discussed up front and clearly defined.
We were upgrading our garden in order to have an outdoor going away party in late summer. Bob and his crew came to us through Sweet Earth Landscape design. They were to be the guys who did the "heavy lifting" in completing Chris Sawicki's lovely designs.
Not only did they do that, but they worked with us to get the garden into the best possible shape with major
trimming, mulching and general "tweaking" a mature space.
Through this process we decided to replace a messy plot of tangled greens with a patio. Bob helped us design and install a magnificent patio as well as solved some important drainage problems. I can't say enough about how pleased we are with Bob's work.

Joe Pitti and company were one of 4 companies to give me an estimate on replacing my old asphalt driveway with pavers.  Their quoted price was music to my ears, after getting estimates from other companies (one as high as 3 X the Pitti's price!)

The Pitti company removed my existing asphalt driveway and replaced it with Nicolok pavers.  They offered some very good ideas on finishing touches, such as borders and patterns.  They also designed and built a walkway to my back yard using the same pavers.

The workers were punctual and reliable- came every day and finished the job in less than a week.  Joe's brother and partner was here with them every day.  When I asked Joe to come back a couple of weeks later to make a few finishing touches, he came in a day or two and did as I asked.

The job came out beautifully.   I am so pleased- I look at it every day and love the was it looks and enhances my house.  I would recommend them to anyone thinking about doing a driveway, be it asphalt, concrete, or pavers, or for any hardscaping job.  They are absolute pros!

He did an absolutely beautiful job. He was creative. It looked natural. It looked like it had always been here. They came here once to check things out at the end of the season. They didn't do anything, and I got a bill for services. I argued with them on that. He doesn't return calls, and he isn't reliable. I can't get anybody out for service at all.

I have had a very positive experience working with Fernando, the owner of the company. I had found his name on Angie's List and called him for an appointment. He arrived at the time we had designated, which is unusal for people in this business. He was clear, articulate, and passionate about his profession. He didn't rush me and answered all of my questions. His pricing was on the higher side, but he assured me you get what you pay for, and boy was he right. The date we agreed to commence working was the date he started, which again is unusal for people in this industry. His workers were hard-working and polite. They would show up at around 9am and work until 6pm, with only a short break in between for lunch. Fernando brought a port-o-potty with his crew so they wouldn't have to come inside the house. Fernando works on many jobs simultaneously, so he isn't always on the job site. However, he did make it to our job site once or twice daily to check on his crew and their progress. I would call him occassionally with a question and 9 out of 10 times he would pick up. The times he wouldn't pick up he would return my call within an hour, he is incredibly responsive. Fernando has a top notch work ethic which manifests itself in how hard his crew works. I was very pleased with his work and I will surely call on him again when the time comes.

I had used Fernando for hardscaping around the house and I was extremely pleased with his work, so I decided to have him install our sprinkler system as well. He is our landscaper too, so I figured having him do the sprinklers will incentivize him to keep a beautiful lawn, because landscapers will often blame the sprinklers if the lawn doesn't look good. He installed a state of the art system that was competitively priced in less than 2 days and he continues to alter the pressure and raduis of the heads in order to make sure every part of the lawn is covered. He is meticulous in his work and takes great pride in what he does. I highly recommend him.

Tom is very professional. His original quote was for laying new blacktop over the existing driveway. Instead he ripped up the old driveway and then laid down the new blacktop for no additional cost. He also built us a brand new slate walkway from the driveway to our front entrance and it came out excellent. He was able to incorporate the new walkway into the existing slate patio and entryway so it looks fairly seamless. Finally he patched up the mortar on a different walkway.
