It went badly. I still have a broken machine and the insurance money I had to cover the machine ended up going to the company. Would never use them again. This is the company: Discount Appliance Repair Service Serving all of Nassau County, Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx 718-464-4622 516-708-5570 Do not confuse this company with other companies named Discount Appliance as there is at least one other in the area.

Ray fixed the chair on time, sent updates along the way. He also discovered an imbalance in the frame, which he fixed to prevent future damage. He was very accommodating in the drop-off/pick-up of the furniture. Overall, great experience, would/will use him again.

After 30 years my refrigerator gave out! I looked everywhere and on the recommendation of a neighbor tried the PC RIchard in Westbury. They had a large selection of refrigerators. I saw a model that I was interested in, and Michael, my salesperson, explained everything that I would need to consider for the space in my old house. I went home, measured, and came back to purchase. There was never any pressure. The price was right, and the atmosphere professional! Delivery was excellent, with a number of courtesy phone calls the day before. The frig came right on time, the delivery men set it up in no time with no damage to my home and took away the old frig! It was a seamless, stress free experience from start to finish. Thank You!

My sofa has a broken spring, and I was wondering if it would be worth fixing (as we have two dogs). Alex was very pleasant and knowledgeable to speak with on the phone. He had a job that day not far from our home, and offered to swing by to take a look. He gave us an estimate, and spent a few minutes speaking with us about the sofa. We are still thinking about whether we want to fix it or just replace it. If we decide to have it fixed, Alex @ Rosini and Sons will be our first call! Thank you Alex for the attentive and honest service! We really appreciate it!

In the spring of 2010 Carmine gave us an estimate for the renovation of a small bathroom. His estimate was slightly higher than that of another contractor. We ignored items Carmine itemized, like leveling the floor and ceiling, getting walls plumb, etc.  We assumed that those were self-understood and selected the other contractor due to his lower estimate and his membership to BBB, NARI, and NKBA. Big mistake! We ended up with many issues, some related exactly to the items Carmine listed (like horrible tile work), and, even worse, with a couple of leaks that contractor refused to even check on. This expensive lesson made us appreciate the value of a thorough estimate listing up in front issues that could be expected and, where possible, price associated.

Therefore in November 2010 we asked Carmine to provide us with an estimate for the master bathroom renovation. Carmine impressed us again with his thoroughness: he studied the plans with great care, realized that some sizes did not add up and had an associate check all measurements from the plans. He found the mistake and therefore the plan was corrected. We decided to hire Carmine for the master bathroom project. At the time he was working on a whole house remodeling project, but he expected to finish it in 1-2 months. However the home owner kept adding new items to the scope of that project and Carmine was not available to start our project until June 2011.  (During that time we kept in touch and, though we were disappointed about the delay, Carmine made sure that we understood that when he started a job he finished it to the home owner satisfaction, no matter how long it took.)

Before the work started Carmine met with us to discuss & nail down all details; e.g. when he heard that waterproofing was a major concern he proposed solutions and their additional price. The work on our master bathroom project was an example of how a perfect home renovation project should be run. Carmine took care of every detail (from materials to the sub schedules to days he spent setting the ceramic tiles veins patterns to make it look like marble). He checked with us before making any decision and made cut-outs from cardboard to help us visualize the result.

The bathroom came out beautiful and it made us trust Carmine with more work we wanted done: we decided to remodel all house interior. We also wanted some repairs done to the exterior, which turned into a whole house siding and painting job. The project was completed in early March 2012. During this time Carmine was as thorough as in the first day and he did not consider any minor detail as less important than major work items. He juggled jobs based on craftsmen schedules, such that  the project went on at all times. His main concern was for us to be happy with the results and he worked with us to insure that.

We were so happy with the result that we already discussed our next project, the kitchen renovation, in the near future.

First off, what I went in for (as advertised) was not available. I believe this is called bait and switch. However, I was willing to buy a different wide-screen TV (I needed two and was told it was a better price if I bought both at the same time). I was shown a floor model HP "tower" computer, and the salesman assured me it would work fine with the TV's I was buying. The computer was 50% off because it was a floor model, but I was assured it was a great model, and would definitely meet my needs. The computer and TV's were delivered but not installed. I didn't think it would be too hard to plug in a computer. Boy was I wrong! No matter what I tried, I couldn't get any sound out of the TV when using it in combination with the computer, although it had perfect sound when not attached to the computer. I went back to the store, and was told I needed to buy a special cable (another $25.) When I got home, the cable wasn't the right one. Then I discovered I had been charged for a warranty I had declined. I went back to the store, returned the cable and got the extra charge taken off. I was told I needed a "better" cable which cost $10 more than the one I returned. Of course, that one didn't change anything. Then I went to Radio Shack, they sold me what they thought I might need, but couldn't understand why a brand new computer wasn't compatible with a Sony TV display. After trying this third cable without any luck I called HP. I couldn't figure out why the configuration they showed in the diagram didn't seem to fit what I saw on the two machines. They had no idea why I couldn't get sound from the TV when using it with the HP computer. I tried calling PC Richard again, but they didn't have anyone who could explain the problem or what to do about it. I finally gave up trying to get sound, and just used it for simple computing. For this I didn't need to buy a 42" wide screen top of the line Sony TV. Some months later, on page 37 of the online manual, I discovered a single sentence that seemed to explain the problem. My particular model of HP computer connects to separate speakers. Since my new TV has speakers integrated within the frame of the set, this computer cannot be used with it, because external speakers are required! The salesman had sold me a computer that was INCOMPATIBLE with the TV I bought SPECIFICALLY to be used with it. Of course by this time, I couldn't get any satisfaction from PC Richard. It was too late. HP wouldn't help me because the ONLINE manual explains the requirement for external speakers. They would not accept it for a return because it was not broken. The salesman had never told me they were incompatible, and in fact he insisted they would work perfectly well together. PC Richard personnel will lie with impunity to make a sale. I will never go back.

The salesman was wonderful and really worked with us. I trusted his opinion. The installation was o.k. I was not that happy with the repair and installation crew but I love the store. The salesman was good and he is friendly, knowledgeable, and isn't pushy.

I'm really happy with Rosini Furniture Service. They're expensive and not cheap. If I had a special piece I'd definitely go here. They did a really nice job. You can't get furniture restored that's not expensive. They really helped me with the insurance company and in estimating for the claim.
