Computer Repair reviews in Great Neck

This is one company I would urge people to never, ever let into your home. He came to me through the painter I hired ( and I will review him elsewhere!) who gets a percentage of what he charges. He was called in to bring up a line from the basement for my cable TV and computers and to activate a telephone jack on my first floor so that I could use my answering machine (I hate voicemail). He was also supposed to bring wiring to my bedroom for my TV and to activate a phone jack for a fax machine on the second floor. The people who had lived here simply had everything in the basement, with no ones coming up into the rest of the house.

He spent most of his time trying to talk me into wiring the whole house with Sonos. I told him I was not interested in doing anything abut a sound system right now, but he kept pushing.

Supposedly his guy did over two days of work here before I moved in. The painters men were here to let him in. He claimed he ran a line for the TV to my bedroom, but I found out later it was the electrician who did that, as well as a couple of other things this guy took credit for, like the phone jack for the fax machine. Both of those lines, BTW, did not work and the cable company had to rectify the situation.

I moved in on a Thursday night, the movers arrived Friday and the boss from ADR came over on Saturday to mount the TV before the cable company arrived. He talked me into a new TV which he sent someone out to pick up and mounted it.

I was then charged 25% more for the TV than I could have picked it up for at any retail store. He insisted the price I could get it for was only a promotional price. Not true. It was readily available at every store, for the same price, and both before and after he purchased it.He bought a Samsung, put the one connect behind the TV on the wall, where Samsung says it does not belong, since it is there to attach other peripherals. Now I can not do that till I get someone to take the TV down and put the box where it belongs. He charged me for, and installed an IR, claiming the TV would not work without it. Of course it works without it. It was totally unnecessary and he never asked me about it or got my permission to purchase it. He also charged me a good more than I could have bought it for online, had I even needed it. He then billed me for the supposed two days of work which included hooking up my computers, my printers, setting up my Wifi, updating my software, hooking up two Rokus where I was not getting cable boxes, and hooking up the computers to the modem and router, and the TVs to the cable boxes.

Just one problem. There was no equipment in the house at all till after these guys were supposedly finished doing whatever work they claimed they were doing for those two days. There is no way they could have hooked up anything since nothing was here for them to hook up. The cable company set up my modem and router, and my computers picked up my network immediately, connected my TVs to the cable boxes. I did not even take my printers out of their cartons till two weeks after I moved in and the two Rokus were, and still are, in their sealed plastic packages. Therefore, ADR did not hook up my printers OR the Rokus.

I was charged thousands of dollars for work which was not done, and dont think I have ever dealt with a company which was as dishonest as this one. I ultimately paid him for the TV, at the price I could have bought it for retail, and some extra for work which they may have done, but I have never had someone claim to have done work which could not possibly have been done. and then charge thousands of dollars for it. The painter actually stuck up for this guy, but of course he is a friend of his. Needless to say, I wont be using the painter again either. If he can cover for someone who charges for work not done, then he probably does the same himself ( and I have seen that he does), and I will cover that on another review.

Mike and his team were extremely knowledgeable and very efficient. His experience was evident throughout the entire process, from proposing ideas to determining the appropriate solution. I had complete trust in Mike and knew he had our best interest throughout the re-model.  Everything came out flawlessly and couldn?t imagine a better outcome of his work.

He takes great pride in his work and is an absolute pleasure to work with. I will definitely be using Shamrock Electric when needed in the future.

Without question, I would strongly recommend Mike and his team for any electrical work needed.

There were two technicians.  They were on time.  Very professional and courteous.  They were able to do the job within an hour.   I will highly recommend them to anyone who needs a tv mount installed.

DO NOT USE THIS PROVIDER- HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL AND MISREPRESENTED THE SERVICE THEY WOULD PROVIDE
I hired them to install a new gas range in my kitchen.
I contacted installs inc to install my slide in range. They set up an appointment and then canceled it the night before installation, and canceled it again a second time when I rescheduled it. My wife was significantly inconvenienced by these scheduling mishaps especially because they didnt bother contacting her until late the night before to reschedule on both occasions. Finally, they set up a third appointment and installed the appliance.
Furthermore, they promised to haul away the old appliance over the phone, but refused to do so when they showed up, and the person was very rude when I told him that they promised to do this.
Overall it was a horrible experience and I would not recommend them, and hope that the appliance vendor that recommended them (abt) would reconsider its recommendation of this company.

    Marcus is a true professional.
He set realistic deadlines and kept to them without exception. In addition to very prompt email response, he was also easily available by phone. He readily accepted critical comments and changes and made sure we were happy with the outcome.
He was attentive, responsive and thorough and I would recommend him without hesitation if you need a video or promotion for your business. He did a great job for us, charged us a fair fee and we would absolutely hire him again.

Geoff did a great job. My house is older with a lot of old wiring, and it wasn't immediately obvious how to accomplish the task.  He took the time to figure it out and made sure everything worked properly before he left.

She was so patient and did so much more than she was paid to do that I kept offering to pay her more than the fee we agreed upon, but she refused. Not only is she brilliant technically, but one of the kindest, most good-humored people you'd ever meet. And she teaches people how to fix things themselves if you're interested, which, of course, I desperately need. Leave it to Angie's List to recommend such a worthy person.

Geoffrey arrived on time.  I called Geoff to fix 4 jacks that were not working. Geoff is extemely knowledgable in what he does. One of the jacks were fixed right away.  The other 3 jacks were inoperable based on old wiring the house had previously.  Geoff spent over 2 hours troubleshooting the problem from diffferent angles. He was finally able to activate one of the inoperable jacks through his troubleshooting sequence.
He was very patient in trying to solve the problem which he ultimately did.  His work was of extremely high quality. And his prices were very very fair, particularly for the amount of time spent.
I would use Geoff again and highly recommend him to others for phone problems or computer cable networking issues.

Bruce criticized the competition and claimed he has no competitor. He was rude, callous and disrespectful. His colleague Rich was respectful and thorough. I was told about a Samsung tv and the proposal listed a Sony for $1,000 more. Don't waste your time.

The cost of the cable service is very high for the service provided. The channels provided it the less expensive packages are barely more than network . The internet service is horrible. I have to reset my modem 2-3 times a week and the bandwidth is very slow. I can't wait until I get FIOS?
