    First time: It took a week to be told that the tech did not report to the company. A week later, we were told it was "wear and tear." Uncovered. That equaled two weeks in the hot summer without AC. Second time: Washer broke down. We were told the inside was "broken." Wear and tear reported. Dryer broke down, not tumbling: We were told it's not tumbling. Really?? You're kidding?!... Wear and tear reported. WHAT DO YOU FIX? ANYTHING? DO YOU CHARGE PREMIUMS AND DEEM EVERYTHING WEAR AND TEAR? THINGS BREAK. DO YOU INSURE ANYTHING? GOODBYE. WE ARE DONE WITH YOUR SHODDY SERVICE AND THIEVERY.

    I have nothing but good things to say about D & M Appliance Repair. The positive experience began when one of the owners answered my phone call on Sunday of a recent holiday weekend! We made an appointment for later that week. The technician called to confirm the appointment and called again to say that he was on his way. (Often techs say they will call, but fail to do so) He diagnosed the problem quickly, ordered the necessary part and installed it a couple of days later, in spite of a severe snowstorm which messed up their schedule. He installed the part quickly, efficiently and at a reasonable cost. I found D & M to be courteous and knowledgeable and will use them again.

    The service call went very well. I have used Steve before and I will continue to use him. He is fair and professional. He came within a day of my call to him and he was able to fully repair my dryer,. He is straight forward and honest and I wouldn't use anyone else.

    It went badly. I still have a broken machine and the insurance money I had to cover the machine ended up going to the company. Would never use them again. This is the company: Discount Appliance Repair Service Serving all of Nassau County, Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx 718-464-4622 516-708-5570 Do not confuse this company with other companies named Discount Appliance as there is at least one other in the area.

    A few years ago, I called Steve in the midst of a snowstorm because my refrigerator wasn't working. He responded immediately, diagnosed the problem and made the repair with a part he carried in his truck. I kept his business card/magnet on my refrigerator and when my dryer wasn't working today, I called Steve. He came within 90 minutes, diagnosed the problem, retrieved a part from his magic truck and made the repair. Our wet clothes were back in the dryer within two hours! Steve is reliable, honest and competent. I recommend his services highly.

    Outstanding. Trustworthy. Honest. They were early. They communicated honestly. They pulled the washer apart and found that the sensor has indeed blown but the motor was going also so they recommended we just get another washing machine. Amazing recommendation. They could have fixed the sensor and then maybe 6months later the motor goes but they were honest and said don't bother fixing it. It's just going to go bad anyway.

    Steve fixed my oven a couple of years ago on Christmas eve and I remembered what a great job he did. So I picked up the phone and called him again when my refrigerator needed help. He diagnosed the problem and came back the next day with the parts needed and fixed everything in an hour+. My refrigerator is working perfectly and I am grateful to Steve once again.

    After having the GE repairman take one minute to look at the refrigerator and tell me that it would take a week to get the parts I called Global solutions. They were able to come out on a Sunday the tech spent an hour taking the fridge apart to diagnose the problem. He indicated that parts needed to be ordered and replaced and gave me a price estimate and estimate on time. A few days later I got a call that parts were ordered and another appointment was set for a Thursday. Then on wenesday i received a call stating that they can come that day, which they did. So the job was done sooner than promised, I was kept informed on all the progress, the technician Johnny was very professional, could not be happier with the service.

    He came to see what the problem was, ordered the parts ,and came back some days later to do the repair. When he opened the machine he found out that another  part was needed. He went to get it and came back the same day to finish the job.
