AAffordable Services IncI hired Affordable the first time in August on the recommendation of a neighbor. The company is licensed, bonded and insured, and the price very competitive. I hired Affordable for an entire day, and the five man crew, under the leadership of Juan, worked steadily to get my jungle of a yard into shape. At the end of the day, they cleaned up after themselves, and I was very impressed. I recently had plumbing trouble, with roots in the main line, and so decided that some trees would have to go. I again hired Affordable for a day, and in addition to removing the trees, they took out many stumps, trimmed my very high hedges, and further groomed the remaining trees. Again Juan and his crew worked steadily and competently, and again left my yard looking just great. I will be using this company again for regular trimming, and highly recommend them.- PATRICIA R.

AHaul 4 LessThey were excellent. They drop it off where I want it and not 40 yards away. The twenty yard dumpster was supposed to be delivered the day of the October storm in West New York. A year later or maybe six months later, I got another fifteen yard dumpster. They were good about leaving it for a little extra time if I needed it, and they picked it up. I know that other people have used them since, and they are still very good. I recommend them a lot. I went over in terms of height and weight, that's why I ended up getting the second one. We get a standard fee if we keep it up to the rim, but if we go over and there is a certain weight limit when they pick it up, there is a little extra charge. It was well worth it. I priced other ones and they were a lot more. They worked around the storm; they were here as soon as it was cleared.- Augusta W.

I had hoped the barn would look better than it did when they finished, but my expectations may have been a little unrealistic. The service was performed for the agreed-on cost, which seemed reasonable. They worked so quickly that I found myelf having to make decisions in a hurry. A piece of advice: if you're going to get rid of stuff, make sure you know ahead of time what, if anything, you want to keep. I was impressed when Frank cautioned me against giving away my old wheelbarrow; he acted against his own interest with this advice.- kelleher j.

AThey were simply amazing. Moving can be very stressful and they did a great job of making the process seamless. I called the company a few weeks before my moving date to schedule an appointment and I received plenty of information on what to expect. On the actual moving date, they were arrived on time with masks on as well as their large moving truck. They were communicative as to double checking what things we want moved and what we didn't, and they took really good care of our items. We had some larger things like bed frame, mattress, desk, etc. and they packed them very well. The unpacking process was also very professional and easy. Would highly recommend them and would use them again.

BRevised Review I did not receive a response to my request for quotation. I so stated in my review on Angie's List and I rated the company F for failure to respond. Subsequent to that review being posted on Angie's List, Nicole Hilton immediately contacted me to explain that a family member was in hospital with Covid 19 at the time of my inquiry. It was Christmastime. She explained that that is why there was no response to my inquiry. She explained that they are a small, family-owned business, the implication being that they do not have the resources of a larger company. I empathize, being the founder and owner of several small businesses in the past myself. I also understand the burdens of attending to business, even under duress. I am writing now to delete the F rating and change it to a B. That rating gives Nicole the benefit of the doubt that, considering I did not receive a response at the time, she would have contacted me to explain, after the crisis had passed, what had happened, even had I not posted the negative review. I hope her family member has fully recovered and I wish her and her business well going forward.
