Interior Painting reviews in Goshen

    Manco and Sons Painting
I had an absolutely terrible experience with Chris Manco. If you make the mistake of hiring him, DO NOT pay him up front. Chris made so many excuses, promises that were never kept, and he left our house a mess. He made himself impossible to get a hold of, ignored calls, left his voicemail full, and took days to respond. I was shocked that someone would take advantage of customers who gave him money up front, but I know now that I was totally naive and have learned my very expensive lesson. At the time I hired him (back in October 2018), he had all 5 star reviews and was available when lots of other weren't, so I hired him. Obviously I was a naive first-time homeowner and didn't realize that something was probably fishy. Now I see from newer reviews that others have paid him ahead of their jobs and have gotten burned as well. I hired him to paint the interior of my home, and we agreed on a price of $5000 including labor and supplies to be paid in 3 installments--down payment, midway through, and a final payment upon completion. He said he could finish the job in a week and half. Everything seemed ok for the first couple of days, since he showed up and started painting ceilings, but I should have been more concerned that he didn't have the proper tools (no dropcloth, no painters lights, no scaffolding/platforms, etc) and obviously hired daily help that needed constant supervision or they messed things up. In addition to small details like not removing light switch covers and painting over nails in the walls, they painted a ceiling in a room that was not part of the job, so they had to spend some of their time fixing that mistake. After the ceilings were painted, Chris said he was about halfway done, and asked us to pay the second payment. At the time we were not yet living in the house so we were excited to see that some progress had been made in a couple of days, despite some areas of concern, which Chris assured us would be fixed, so I agreed. Then Chris stopped showing up. He told me that his father had a heart attack. I still don't know if this was the truth or not (I hope no one would lie about this kind of thing), but Chris said he would need a few days and then would be back on the job. He also said that if we would pay him the final payment, he would throw in another project (finishing a closet wall) that we had been talking about and still do the whole thing for the original quoted price. I was so, so naive and agreed because I really thought the money would help him get our job done faster and that he would do right by us. Then he started giving other excuses about why he couldn't get to our job (truck needed for his family/doctors appointments/no money to pay guys to hire, etc). In total, Chris spent 3.5 days at my house over a period of a month, when the original estimate for the job was a week. Not a single room was finished, and when we asked him for $4000 back so that we could just move on (leaving him $1000 for supplies he had bought), he wouldn't agree. We had to hire someone else to fix all of the low quality work Chris did, and we took it up with our debit card company. Unfortunately, because Chris had receipts that authorized the payments, they couldn't do anything for us even though the work was never completed. Now I have learned my lesson as a homeowner to never pay anyone up front, especially with a debit card or cash because I'll have no recourse. Chris obviously knew this because he was all too happy when we told him we were going to take it up with the debit card company. Now I will have to pursue small claims court.

    Precise Painting & Wallcovering
Gary was very responsive and provided a quote within 24 hrs after visiting the premises. We decided to use Precise painting due to his knowledge, attentiveness, and competitive pricing. We were not disappointed. The work was professionally done, the crew cleaned up every night and the work was completed within the time they promised. We would use Precise again with no hesitations.

    Murray Brothers Painting & Siding
It went very well. The paint job was wonderful, such a transformation. They helped me choose the right colors and fix the imperfections on my old walls. The exterior vinyl job made my older house look like a brand new home. I would never use anybody else for my contracting needs.

    Damone Painting and Drywall

Chris and his crew were very professional punctual and got the job done for a very reasonable price and to my deadline. The mud work that I needed him to do was previously installed  drywall  by another contractor( who will soon be receiving a not so favorable review on AL!) in a 2nd floor bump out addition  It was a difficult job ( 3 angled dormers) made worst by the fact that the previous contractor had made mistakes hanging the drywall (including a foot thru my ceiling!)

Chris was more than willing point out to correct and patch these mistakes. He never complained he just got on and did the job. As a result of the good work that he had done I asked  him to paint my master paint room ...another difficult job...its an 16ft apex room with beams...he didn't get a spot of paint anywhere and it was done in a day! I also asked him to drywall/mud over a wall papered ceiling in my guest room with a 1/4" dry wall...which he was more than happy to pick up from a specialist contractor for me...I was going to get it but decided last min that is wasn't such a good idea to put it on the top my station wagon!

All 3 jobs were done professionally and to my deadline, I couldn't be happier with Chris's work...so much so i'm planning for him to help me with my next round of decoration and renovation work. Chris is a very amiable young men and very easy to work with...I would whole hearted recommend him!

    AMV Interiors and Construction Inc
THERE IS NOTHING NEGATIVE THAT WE CAN SAY ABOUT AMV.  THEY WERE PLEASANT TO WORK WITH, POLITE INFORMATIVE.  THEY REMOVED ALL DEBRIS.  MADE EVERY EFFORT TO KEEP OUR HOME CLEAN WHILE THEY WORKED ON THE BATHROOM.  AFTER COMPLETION OF JOB THEY CLEANED ANY AREA OUTSIDE AND INSIDE THAT NEEDED CLEANING.  THERE WAS A VERY SMALL PROBLEM FOLLOWING THE COMPLETION OF THE JOB; WE CALLED ALEKS AND HE IMMEDIATELY CAME AND RESOLVED THE PROBLEM.  WE WOULD NOT HESITATE TO RECOMMEND AMV.

Excellent. They were meticulous---extremely neat and their attention to detail was excellent--especially the trim work. I was able to continue living and using my kitchen throughout the work because they were so clean. I will definitely use them again without hesitation.

    FINE LINE PAINTING
Excellent. The work was meticulous! They did a great job of removing all of the old stuff and fixing the walls. They spackled, filled all those annoying holes left by years of hanging pictures, blinds, etc., even repairing the moldings and caulking the trim around the cabinets. The place looked like new. Perfect. They were so clean and organized. They were in my home for 3 days and each day when I returned from work I was still able to fully use the kitchen to prepare dinner for my family. That, in itself, was amazing. They were completely trustworthy. I am already planning my next project and I will definitely use them.

    FINE LINE PAINTING
I am so pleased I am having them back to do a bathroom, and I am so pleased, and I got them through Angie's List.  They did interior painting, kitchen, hallway and dining room.  They removed all the wallpaper, patched everything, and primed it and painted two coats to the ceiling.  They really did a lot.  The biggest thing was removing the wall paper.  Their price was reasonable.
