    The machine was beyond a reasonable repair, however I really appreciated his honesty in letting us know that instead of charging us a lot of money for something that would let us down again in the near future. Very honest person. Highly recommend him.

    They had to come out several times to repair it. It seems to be working after the last time they were here. To do better I think he could have given us a phone number so we could have contacted him because we've had so many different techs come so many times, and it was just like one thing after another. I don't really trust any of them now. I don't know for how long it will continue working. They said that if you have a Sears tech come more than three times within a 12 month period I can say no, do not come a fourth time, and they will give you a whole new appliance. The tech told me I did not really want that because the new appliances are worse than the old ones. So even if you get a new one it probably is not going to last very long. The quality of the new Sears washing machines are pretty low. So they talked me pretty much into just calling them instead of getting a new washing machine for free because the new ones are such bad quality. It was kind of nightmare to tell you the truth -- the whole Sears. We paid for a warranty and they are quite expensive but you have to have them. Their warranty covers all of my major appliances including the hot water heater, dishwasher, refrigerator, washer and dryer. I did not have to pay for this repair. They were nice and it was always a different tech that came back and he did not know what the previous guy did. It was not always the same problem, it was different problems. It was just one thing after another with that washer.

    was told it would take 24 hrs. it took a week. the graphics card we wanted failed. another was unavailable and would take a week to ship in. settled for another , inferior graphics card. when I picked up the item I was not shown any kind of remorse from anyone @ the above problems. I was not shown that the graphics card was working properly. also the newly implemented system of signing up foran appointment is deeply flawed, illogical and is even at this early time being circumvented at every opportunity, just to keep people nfrom waiting lomger... a bad idea poorly executed. the employees seemed exasperated and there seemed to be nobody in charge of anything. seat of the pants was my impression start to finish. but, as they know, its the only game in ....

    The owner came on time, inspected the mantel clock, which was not runing, & gave me an estimate of $350 which I accepted as I had no  basis for comparison. He took it away, had it for a week, brought it back & it seemed to be working all right so I paid in cash. He said it was a good  clock with pleasant sounding chimes. After a week or so I noticed it was running fast, about 2-3 minutes a day. I would gently push the hands back to correct the time but it messed up the chimes, which wouldn't ring until it got back into the 2-3 minutes fast mode. I called to ask him to come by & adjust the time mechanism & perhaps show me how to do it as I wanted the time to be more accurate, being fully aware it is a wind up clock & not battery driven. He refused, saying that he can't be running back and forth, back and forth as he's much too busy.  He tried to tell me what to do over the phone but he had  no idea what he was talking about as the configuration of the mechanism was not what he was describing. He kept repeating himself, refused to make even one visit to correct his work, kept saying time was money, he couldn't keep going back & forth, etc. until I lost patience & hung up.
    As I paid him in cash (no tax collected) I have no other resource now than to put in a review so the public willl know what kind of person Peter Lewin is &  evidently is one who does not stand by his workmanship. I will definitely not recommend him and will consult Angies List in the future to insure fairness of workmanship & price.

    Mark was very knowledgeable and professional, and took the time to thoroughly explain what should be fixed and why. He was very fair with pricing, and did not push me to have things done that did not need to be done. He also was very patient with an inquisitive dog and small child. Bonus points for that.

    Mark is very personable and was a pleasure to deal with.  Although it took a few days for him to respond to my initial e-mail, that was due to this being his busy season.  (Many church and school tunings leading up to the Holidays.)  We were able to schedule my tuning within a few days.   Because of unforeseen problems with a tuning earlier in the day, Mark was delayed in arriving at my house.  But, he called to let me know and ask whether it would be all right to arrive an hour or two late.  You can't ask for more than that!
    My piano is probably 25-30 years old (at least) and hadn't been tuned in at least 20 years.  (It was REALLY out of tune!)  After he did an initial assessment of my piano's status, we discussed the level of tuning that I was interested in and Mark explained all of the options.  We settled upon what was best for how I planned on using the piano and Mark did a great job at a fair price.  In fact, it was a bit less than the estimate which he had given me over the phone.
    All-in-all, a very professional job at a fair price.
