    My appointment was for 9 a.m. and they did not show up until at least 2 p.m. I called when they were two hours late and they apologized and said someone would come right over and get started. Three hours later I had to leave and they came while I was out. I wanted to be here when they were here and would have appreciated a call if they realized they were going to be so late. They removed a screening that was worn out on one gutter and left it on the ground. I"m not sure if I would hire them again or not.

    Very responsive and professional from estimate to final invoice. Foreman for contractor team was very responsible and workers were efficient and clean. They finished the job in a day and a half as estimated .

    I contacted provider by phone, seeking an estimate for gutter cleaning of my two story home. During my initial phone contact, I conveyed my need and was told they would get back to me. I did not hear from this provider again. I had the same experience with three other companies. Apparently, people who install gutters are less inclined to want to clean them out. I eventually found another company that was more responsive and willing to do the work I needed done.

    We were very pleased with Norbs experience and judgement in doing this job. He encountered unforeseen issues such as rotting wood and guided us through the decision making about how to handle it. We could tell that his priority was doing the work correctly rather than blowing through to get on with the next job. It took some creative carpentry to 'wrap' the supporting pressure treated wood with a timber tech fascia to obtain a uniform look and Norb was up to the task. He was always personally on site. He even noticed that a poorly hung rain gutter was dripping and damaging the previous deck. He removed and rehung the gutter, and replaced the foam leaf blocking system. It's rare to find someone who cares about a project as if it was his own home.

    They arrived first thing in the morning.  Unlike many roofing contractors they use a large crew and perform the work in one day.  They do not cut corners.  They are thorough and professional.   Obviously with a complete tear off there is a large mess but they do a great job cleaning up when they are done.

    Didn't happen at all. They had a rep who was "in the neighborhood" going door to door. He stopped by on 9/22 and told us about his services. Typically we'd tell sales people that we aren't interested, but it just so happened that we need roof work done and actually contacted another company the day before for a quote. In fact I thought the Erie rep was someone from the other company I had contacted at first. Nonetheless, it's good to get multiple quotes so we let him in and let him do his pitch. Total high pressure sales tactics and possible mis-information. Also didn't like that he made assumptions on things he really had no idea about such as the R-Value of windows on a whole other house I had done 8 years ago. Erie's windows (they do those, too) are better, they have this R-value, blah blah your windows don't have this R-value. Whatever. Back to the roof, we've seen ads for Erie in the paper and on television so they were on our list to call at some point because we are strongly considering a metal roof. The sales guy kept selling us on 50% off installation being a big value to us and gave us a promo code that would supposedly save us even more. We've looked into metal roofing and, from what we understand, one of the benefits is that they can be installed over an existing roof because it's so light. That is very appealing to us because a complete tear-off can add to the costs. The Erie rep insisted that only a complete tear off is the way to go - you can't install over an existing because you're putting it over material that is degrading, etc etc. While that makes sense to some degree, again the assumption was that our roof was in such a horrible state that nothing less than a complete tear-off would be the way to go. He stated this without even looking at the condition of our roof. That would be done at a later date - in our case, the next day. He took down our information, said someone would be calling soon to set up an inspection and product review. One thing that really bothered me in that regard was he kept saying Erie are local, and I assumed they were local because of the fact they're called "Erie Roofing" (Erie Canal connection) and advertise locally. Turns out they're actually from the mid-west and just have local offices or reps in your areas. I got a call from Michigan to setup the appointment the next day at 7pm. Again, more high pressure and shady sales tactics from the operator with things like "oh hang on to that promo code, that is a really good promo code that is going to unlock so much savings for you when they come out tomorrow" - leaving me to think they're going to come out, do an inspection, say the promotion is only good for that moment or 24 hours and we'd have to act immediately on it and make a decision on the spot for them to do the work to get the big special. I never got to find that out because 7pm the next day came around and one showed up. Half hour later... still nobody. Then we got a call from Michigan again almost an hour later saying that the rep got tied up elsewhere and couldn't make it, so they would have to reschedule for the following day. At that point, we told them don't bother. We have other people coming out to quote, we didn't like their sales tactics, both in person and on the phone, so it was pointless to continue the conversation with them. Nonetheless, thought I'd share my experience here. Beware of high pressure sales tactics or things that you need to act on right away. They peddled that big 50% off Installation deal, as if it was something special. It's really not - it's what is on their newspaper and television ads, so it's probably available all the time and that's just how they do it. Furthermore if they require tear-offs to install their metal roofs, that is going to increase your overall installation costs anyway because you're going to end up paying for more labor, as opposed to someone who will install it over your existing roof - like many other metal roofing companies and countless web sites say is safe to do, and even better because you supposedly get even more insulation value. They're not a local company to this area and what they apparently do is sub-contract the work out to local contractors anyway. Overall a disappointing experience that I'm glad we stopped before it potentially got worse.

    It went very well. I would gladly bring them back for more projects. They arrived early and worked late, and allowed us to add small projects that were unplanned for VERY minimal cost. They were right on the average proce of the quotes we had been getting. Best of all, since the extra projects caused a little overrun in the budget, Walter let us make monthly payment son the extra money, which I thought was FANTASTIC! However, we are still finding nails periodically throughout our grass, but that happens with this big of a job! They ripped of the roof and had a new one on in less than 48 hours. Unfortunately halfway through it started to rain and they had to come back to finish the roof over our kitchen, but they came back on a Sunday!!! The workers dont really speak anyhting but Russian, but what English they do speak, they are HYSTERICAL! My hubby and I had a blast with them!

    Est was fair-used this company 3 years ago on my house-this is a rental property. showed up on time with large crew-tore old roof off replaced rotten boards as needed,showed up at 8:05am and were done by 3pm, all trash was hauled away. house has existing porch and they added a 12x12 patio roof. all in one day. had good weather and everything went as planned and kept with estimate.

    I was planning to finish my attic to increase living space. I cold called Hibbs out of the phone book to have the soffet vent and ridge vent done. The secretary had Butch called me back and I explained what I wanted to do. He convinced me I just need 4 box vents instead of a ridge vent. I didn't know different being a new homeowner, and gave him the go-ahead.
    Butch sent his team (not him) to my house unannounced, on the ONLY day of the whole summer when my wife wasn't home. I only knew they were working on my house when his helper called me and said he had to get inside to get the box vent done. I asked him if it sounded right or whether I should have a ridge vent done. He said it really should be a ridge vent!! They ended up doing just the soffet vent since they couldn't get in my house.
    I talked to Butch that day and he quoted me $400 for the ridge vent (about the same as box vents, which I was happy about). I received a bill for $400 and change which I figured it was for everything, work already done and work that will be done. The secretary called to hurry the payment along, I told her I will pay when the work is done.
    At the end of that summer, when I finally had enough of the waiting game, I called to cancel the order. Butch informed me that I don't have an order on file and that I owe him $400. He explained $400 owed is for the work already done, ridge vent is another $400 on top of that (and I quote "what, you think I am just going to say 'yea alright, I'm gonna do the ridge vent for free??'"). I told him that I don't feel I owe him $400 since his team only did half the work (soffet vent). Then he changed his tune and said I only owe him half of the bill.
    He was rude and unprofessional during our last phone conversation, sarcasm should never be a part of customer service. I also get the feeling he does not good communication with his office personnel.

    D.E.MILLER,was the only company,out of three contacted,that called me back in the time frame I requested.Also,was prompt on their quote,and quote was the final price.
    Mr. Miller was there to supervise and oversee the project.
    They where very careful to protect siding and windows.
    They where very careful to lay out tarps to collect old shingles,and not destroy our bushes,shrubs,flowers,around the house.
    After completion,they used metal detectors and swept entire area,to pick up and collect any old nails/staples from removing old shingles.
    Mr. Miller,and his entire crew,where very professional,courteous ,respectful .
    Highly recommend this company and would contract for their services again.
