    First Class Formal wear
I was a very easy experience, the price was very reasonable and he even pressed it for me while I waited. I used to go to mens warehouse. what a difference in the local business vs the chain suit shop is.

    Liliane's Alterations
We took a pair of expensive dress slacks to Liliane's Alterations to be hemmed. We were greeted by Liliane herself. My husband was wearing his Marine Vietnam Veteran jacket and Liliane asked him when and where he served. He told her the dates of service and he and she discussed the cities of Vietnam where he was stationed while she pinned up his slacks. Liliane is Vietnamese and she and my husband were in country during the same time frame. She gave us our ticket to pick up his slacks the following week and then gave my husband a BIG hug and thanked him for his service in Vietnam and told him there would be no charge for the alterations to his slacks. Needless to say we were just amazed. It was a very touching moment that only two people who were in a war zone at the same time could probably relate to. We went back to pick up his slacks and they were hemmed absolutely perfectly. We will ALWAYS take our alterations to Liliane because of the kindness she showed to my husband and the quality of her work. We wholeheartedly recommend her work to anyone that should ask!

    MENDING YOUR WAYS
I moved here from Rochester a few years ago, and while I was there I took all my alterations to a Turkish tailor who was excellent. Florence is every bit as good. I went to her last summer and she did a great job on both pair of pants, but what really impressed me was the fact that she hemmed my jeans and somehow left the bottom edge alone...still trying to figure out exactly how she did it. This way they still have that worn look to them...not like they've been shortened! This time I took 3 pairs of dress pants--2 cuffed and lined. She charged the same whether they are lined or not, but charges extra if they're cuffed, which is to be expected. She is very prompt with delivery--two days if she's not busy with weddings or things of that nature, but she says so upfront. She lives in a great old house on a hill in Corning, has a fitting room and it takes her all of about 60 seconds to pin up a pair of pants. I read a review that a gentleman left on another site a few years ago, and apparently he had her do some work on some business suits and was very pleased both with the quality of the work and the price. It's a bit of a drive for me, but I go to Wegmans all the time anyway, and for something as important as having my clothes fit properly, what's another errand? I think Florence is great. I often need sleeves shortened, and I know she does that, too. But she did say that she doesn't take things apart at the shoulder.

Took leather jacket for a new zipper. The job was perfect! You could not tell it was replaced. It was even a better zipper than the original. Done when promised. She is a joy to deal with.
