AAdvanced Surveying LlcWe wanted to get an Elevation Certificate to determine whether we could remove our home from the required FEMA Flood Insurance map. Gregory responded immediately, and performed the work in a professional, pleasant manner. He explained how we could submit his Elevation Certificate to FEMA to request the LOMA, but we preferred for him to do it on our behalf. He prepared the materials, submitted them, and we received the hoped-for revision to the map, removing requirement for flood insurance. Definitely recommend him!- Joseph L.

AThomas C Merritts Land Surveyors PCOverall this project went well. I have a half acre property that straddles Scarsdale and New Rochelle. The property line was not very easy to identify. That's why I initiated the project. Everyone was professional, courteous and responsive. I was kept informed of steps in the process and also had a prompt follow-up after the work was completed. AAdvanced Surveying LlcI recently used Advanced Surveying for a unique survey project to clarify property lines between neighbors where specific boundaries were only generally guessed. Gregory Kogan provided effective and efficient communication to clearly define the scope and objective of the survey. He demonstrated careful diligence in the accuracy of all measurements including the location of a boundary stake a foot beneath the ground in an area well off from any of our ‘guesses’. My property is one acre residential, wooded, with wet-land areas, shared long driveway, and sections of heavy under-growth. The survey was rolled out smoothly, staking was visual with consideration to various obstacles, survey work schedule and expectations were discussed and communicated with no issues or misunderstanding. Fnot very well, their survey did not correspond to the original survey performed on my home. they never contacted me to notify when they were coming so I could be present. I contacted them to notify that one neighbor had removed a stake to adjust it to his favor and needed them to return and rectify the placing of the stake. I was told they would need to charge me again to restake that one area. All in all I am not happy with their service

FI don't know what I was thinking when I picked them. Because I used them for my title survey I wanted them to also come out and do stake outs for property. It has been two months now and they have failed to set up an appointment to do such a simple thing. They return phone calls when they want (most of the times they don't) and every time it is a new excuse for not being able to setup an appointment. Stay away! Not acting as professionals and are not responsive.

FMy pregnant wife and I were looking to add on to out 100 year old house for the baby. We got a home improvement loan through a bank and hired Baby Bear to do the work. They very quickly started the job, demolishing the kitchen and dining room first. Keep in mind, my wife and I are living in the house during this construction. Constructing the new foundation is where things started to fall apart. They claimed they couldn't dig for the longest time because it was rainy. We weren't in a terrible hurry to finish the job so we were okay with this for a while. They demolished the deck, at some point. Then when they finally did dig, they found a small hole in the foundation. This caused all work to stop until the foundation could be assessed. It turned out the existing foundation needed to be fixed before they could move forward. This was quoted by Baby Bear to cost around $60k. This quote is way our of line for what it should have cost. At this point, my wife and I were ready to fire them. This is after they received around $22k from our bank loan. At some point around when we were firing them, they came back and said they could do the foundation for $10k. I assumed this was some tactic to keep us on the hook, we decided to let them go anyway and go with another contractor. They refused to give us any of the money back for the foundation they never constructed. They left a mess in our yard from the demolition, which some part of that $22k should have covered for them to take care of. At the end of the day, we got swindled by this company, but we still got the house built, but it was infinitely more difficult without the money they walked off with. We had to cut a lot of corners, I had to do a lot of the work myself and I had to go with lower end materials for parts of the job. The bright side is that my baby has a bedroom and I get to shine a light on their shady business practices. Thanks Angie!

DI called this company for a quote, the first time the receptionist was nice but very pushy, she tried to enter all of our information without me confirming that I am indeed using their service. I called back to ask more questions specifically if they would offer anymore discounts, her exact words were " for what!?" so I politely said thank you and hang up. She called me back and said that we got disconnected but she knows very well that we did not. The call and our potential business relationship ended because of her rude and impatient attitude.
