  Very punctual. Very professional and the guys are great workers. He did it in under an hour. Great. I asked questions. They explained everything. The reason I called them was because I kept getting a smell in one of the gutters right over my garage. I told them and everything. When I  did speak to them, come to find out, there was a blockage there. They unclogged it, they even changed that part of the gutter. I even used them to put the covers on.

  They are really, really good. The guy is great. He comes out and takes a look at everything, sets everything up. Sometimes they have the generator. They did what they had to do. They call me with any problems. I've never had a problem.

  It was very reasonable. It was a big long gutter on the back of the house. Excellent service. Great owner. He comes out and meets you personally and the price is outstanding. He reinforces it and shows you what he did. The owner went above and beyond to wait for me. He calls and tells you when he is coming. He is very punctual. When he is done, he gives you a call. He doesn't accept payment until you come and see the work. He measures the gutter and gave us a date. He removed the old gutter and replaced it with the new gutter. He even cleans up. He placed the cover without any additional charge.

  Certified Chimney Service Inc

  Certified Chimney Service Inc. provided a two-hour window on Saturday, Aug. 22 for which I cleared my schedule. When they still hadn't shown up at the end of that window, I called the main office. I was told that they had been having a bad day?a series of dominos falling, was how the dispatcher described it?and the guy was currently wrapping up a job in Queens, which is an hour from my house. 
  Meaning that they were NEVER going to be able to make the appointment, and in spite of having my phone number handy, they didn't feel it was necessary to let me know.
  Incredible unprofessionalism aside, I told the dispatcher I would let the guy call me to try to make the appointment work, but I never received a call. I waited a half hour and called the main number again?this time I got a machine and no return call. [UPDATE: Eventually they called me back, an hour later. Too late. The office manager was apologetic but had a hard time understanding that the issue wasn't that they had overbooked and were running behind, but that they failed to communicate anything to me. A simple phone call would have prevented any of this from happening. You can't signal to a client that their time is not valuable like that.] 
  
  I'm writing this to make sure my fellow homeowners on Angie's List aren't similarly inconvenienced.
  Also: the so-called deals they offer on Angie's List are a scam?I have a coupon on here from the (free) ValPak junk mail coupons that offers the same chimney cleaning/service for $39.99 that they're offering a "deal" for on here at $59.99.

  Fred's Chimney Magic

  I called the day I purchased this Big Deal & they were available the next day, which I was not. They called when they were on the way to my house and arrived early. I was not home, so they called & asked if they could start the job, which I agreed. Both men who came were very nice & professional.
