    Northern Enterprises General Contracting, LLC
Just wanted to express my gratitude to George Ludwig and all his hard working folks at Northern Enterprises! My aunt was away from her home in Granville NY because she was helping care for my parents who both had medical issues in Virginia. Well the furnace went out, and the pipes burst and this resulted in water damage. I was helping her out with the insurance claim because she was busy with my folks. I was so lucky to find Northern Enterprises online. Not only was George Ludwig very responsive, he really helped handle the insurance claim too. We could not come back to NY to deal with any of this in person and it was just as Covid-19 was starting to be a concern in the states. George kept in touch with me by em-mail and text. He sent us any documents that we needed to sign, he sent photos of the work as things were progressing. He even waited to receive the final payment for the work he did until after we got the final payment from the insurance company. Not only did he do the work we asked, he did it with excellence! He went over and above anything that we expected. The house has been restored beautifully. And we never felt like we were at a disadvantage. There were no hidden expenses or unexpected expenses either. George made sure everything went well. He is a man of integrity who you can really trust. This whole thing started in January 2020- and George had it all squared away by early March. THANK YOU GEORGE.

Mark was very knowledgable, easy to work with, showed up on time ready to work, and was overall very helpful and informative without being pushy or opinionated. I would definitely recommend him for any contracting work and plan on hiring him in the future for other projects that come up!

EXCELLENT. Very professional, informational from the first phone call with Pete to the crew explaining everything they were going to do and showed me items they were installing and how they all worked. They didn't just blow in the insulation and leave, but corrected any problems in the attic to make sure it was all done correctly Scott, Tom and Mike did a thorough job and expressed how much they loved what they were doing. They showed a lot of pride in their work and company they work for. Was nice to hear. Price was very reasonable. Would absolutely hire again and recommend them. Thanks guys!

    AMV Interiors and Construction Inc
It went great. Contractor, AMC Interiors, Alex, showed up when arranged. Alex and his team came prepared. They asked lots of questions throughout the process to make sure they got it right. They did extensive work gutting both rooms, replaced windows, had to level floors, install new flooring, plumbing, electrical, cabinets and appliances. They were open to suggestion and made valuable suggestions. While they were here we started the "might as wells", when you have a good contractor you hang on to them. We did our upstairs bedroom, spare room, office and part of our living room in shiplap. Their attention to detail was appreciated. I am a stickler for detail and they surpassed my expectations. Our home is 75 year old half round log and they made the siding they had to replace outside match perfectly. It is difficult having people around your house for extended periods of time but AMV Interiors was a pleasure to have around. They were respectful. Did not use inappropriate language and had fun while they worked. It made it easier to have people around the house. AMV Interiors was simply great. They worked safely. Cleaned up and left things in order ever day. They hauled away all the debris everyday and when they left the place was clean and ready to use. They made the experience easy and left us with a beautiful house. HIRE AMV Interiors. You will not be disappointed.

    Mark Levey General Construction
Great at initial interview; real conman! Promimised box vents; which were never installed. When shingles were delivered to roof, offloaded at such a rapid pace so as to slamdrop bundles repeatedly, causing internal seams on ceiling to become prominent, through popcorn finish. Substructure, at gable end of house was damaged by fallen tree. Several broken rafters were never replaced and instead, sheathed-over leaving roof sunken with involved bedroom ceiling, sagging. Refused ceiling light location preference. Damaged exterior window trim on multiple windows, ignored responsibility! Left roof debris in bathroom exhaust vents causing them to infiltrate & stall. Did not see permits or witness inspections at any stage of completion. Workers forced to use flimsy wornout aluminum ladders; had to borrow class 1 heavy duty ladder, from myself to reach gable end. Area which I've had to, subsequently, repair twice! Workers not given masks or safety glasses when pulling-down old ceiling & blown-in insulation. Several roof tiles have blown-off after replacement; needing reinstallation fo a second time. Demanded cash for payment as refused minimal wait from insurance reimbursement. Note: Researched three bogas, (previous customers) references, before contacting work. Also wanted to support local, Mount Morris, workforces expecting a return in confident/competent workmanship. Misled, Disappointed & Deceived

Owner responded immediately. That is rare for this area! Work estimate was very next day. Work completed FULLY the very next day! I have had nothing but bad luck with all the lazy tradesmen in my area. Alecks is now going to get any future work I need. His helpers Billy and Jason were friendly and enjoy their work. AMV is a breath of fresh air. If you don't use them now, you are making a major mistake. Thank you Angie's list and thank you Alecks and your AMV team. Normally I only write negative reviews. AMV construction deserve this very positive recommendation. Clifford Teich, M.D.

    Foamco Inc
Foam Co were great. One of the owners made an appointment to give me an estimate the day after my first inquiry. I booked an appointment the following day. But I had to change the appointment twice because my other contractors were not completed. No problem. I called up and they rescheduled, twice, not complaints, no attitude.  The crew that did the install took one day. The job was well done, looks great. They left the house clean as a whistle. I had a great experience with this vendor. Thank you.

    Foamco Inc
More often than not, contractors are nightmares. By contrast, Foamco is a dream. Although they're based over 40 miles away, they came up promptly to view my attic and provide a quote to insulate it with open cell foam. The price was perfect. Any less and I would have been suspicious. Any more and I couldn't have afforded the work. In addition to the price, calculated before the principal left my driveway, they answered a variety fo technical questions about alternative approaches, clarified what condition I had to have the space in for the quote to apply, and assured me it would be a complete job. Three weeks later, they arrived as scheduled to an attic stripped of obstructions and old ceiling components. The crew of two proceeded to insulate the entire roof, which has tall peaks, two dormers, deep eaves, high gables, and two large semi-obstructed openings into an adjacent cold attic. By 3PM every surface exposed to the exterior was fully foamed and cut back to the rafter surface, ready for sheetrocking. They sealed the irregular openings into the annex with foamed cardboard panels (one of which is removable for access). It was an amazing one day transformation. I now have a warm, cozy, usable attic instead of a giant heat radiator. I'm pretty sure the job will pay back in about three years, without even accounting for the added usable space. I cannot recommend Foamco highly enough as a contractor that does what they promise and then some. I would absolutely not want to do that work and I admire the employees, Jay and Pablo, for their dedication under very unpleasant conditions. This is the second vendor I've chosen from Angie's List, and both experiences have been very gratifying. One warning, the scope of building codes have has now been extended into anything that affects the building envelope, so with the Foamco rig parked rather obviously in front of the house for less than 3 hours, I got an authoritative knock on the door from the town building inspector, flashing his badge and telling me I needed a permit for insulation. Fortunately, I was totally believable when i told him i had no inkling that such work needed a permit, so he let me pay for it without penalty. Beware the authorities. In my case, foam with a fire spread rating of 25 or less does not require sheetrock or other flame retardant covering.

I met with Aleks to get an estimate for kitchen work due to some water damage.  I was immediately impressed by his professionalism and downright good nature.  Upon furnishing his estimate, he gave me a list of references.  The people I contacted on that list had nothing but compliments about him and his work. I hired AMV for the kitchen work, and also decided  to hire them for my bathroom remodel.  The kitchen turned into a big project upon the discovery of mold, due to the water leak. The whole kitchen had to be gutted. This 2 week job turned into a 5 week job, but I have to say, having Aleks, Mike and Benny on the job everyday made the stress and inconvenience of construction in my home so much easier.  They were on time each and every day, they placed drop cloths to protect my floors and carpets, and they cleaned up nicely at the end of each day. They even good-naturedly put up with my crazy Jack Russell Terrier, Rosie, who wanted to attack all of their power tools!   Aleks helped me with decisions that needed to be made and also picked up the large items for me, such as the jacuzzi and stove. The finished jobs are beautiful.  My kitchen looks absolutely amazing with new cabinets, flooring, lighting, window and fresh paint. The masterbath looks like a new room.  Aleks installed a 3'X3' glass block window that looks beautiful. The shower is tiled, using a beautiful river rock base.  The floor is tiled. The step up to the jacuzzi, as well as the platfrom around the jacuzzi is tiled, also using the river rock. The wall around the platform is tiled, going about 26" up. They replaced the molding, put up lighting, a new fan and heat lamp, a new mirror, and painted. Aleks is nothing short of an honest, hardworking, reliable, knowledgable contractor, and an all around nice guy. It was a pleasure working with him, Mike and Benny and I couldn't be more pleased with the results.  I would not hesitate in hiring AMV again for any of my home projects!
