Everything went well. Adonis was very knowledgeable. He arrived on time for the estimate and returned on time with the crew to do the work. A family member was on site when the work was done and they said the crew was very careful and worked as clean and quietly as they could. As I had to deal long distance with company it was important that the office contact was very good as well, and she was. The price may have been a bit over what we planned but I am sure they used the appropriate appliances for the demands of the project. We plan on using Mako for all our plumbing needs in the future.

On the morning of my vacation I had four to five inches of water in my basement. Carl came over took my keys and I left on my trip. While I was away the water was removed the foundation siding doors and windows were caulked and a sump pump was installed in case of future flooding. Carl also repaired a damaged ceiling and painted another one. When I got home everything was set right.

In the past, Carl has pointed my steps, tiled floors and set my closet doors. His crew was always on time, the work was always carefully done, and the crew left everything perfectly cleaned up afterwards. The price was always right for what was done as well. Great job, very professional. Will definitely use Carl again in the future.

We loved the estimate. He told me to call after Labor Day because he was busy. We think we are going to hire him. He wasn’t pushy; he was very laid back. He was informative. He was an older man in is 60's and he knew exactly what he was talking about. I liked it that he said that I wouldn't be able to see that he had touched my backyard. He would clean up the dirt and not leave any dirt leftover on my grass and he would repair any sprinkler line that was cut. The quote was great and we are just waiting to get the money and then we will call him.

Excellent overall satisfaction with this work and job. Time: About 2.5 months. Workers: Most of the work was done by a team of predominantly eastern European EXPERIENCED men who really really did excellent work. The clever and sharp accurate angles around existing structural obstacles to maximize headroom and space was really outstanding. Highest marks. Plumbing: Other than a back pressure valve which was forgotten, and then redone properly, all went according to plan. Electrical: Recessed lighting, fuse box connectivity and proper metal casing to spec all installed to plan and functioning properly. Tiling: Tile work looks excellent and was particularly tricky given that 100 year old house had floor designed to slope in to center of house and slope to front of house. There literally was no place where there was a perfectly level, horizontal plane to work on. And post-cement and tile work, the floors are straight and level. Drywall: Installed with baseboard seams straight and professional. Slightly tricky triangular door under stairwell done very well. Cost Containment: I drafted contract, with economic incentive for Peter to come in under budget. Turns out he came in exactly on budget - with the exceptions of change orders I initiated and requested or upgrades I selected at the hardware store like better sink and fixtures. Change Orders: Always agreed in advance with a very civil and friendly negotiation. Peter sometimes stretching for a little more profit in the change order than I was willing to agree to - but then usually and reasonably quickly compromising on a dollar number which worked for us both. Contract Form: I created and we both used a written contract which helped us both stay honest about what we expected. * The more detail you go into in the contract the better for both parties.* I'm sure if I had had to rely on memory of discussions which occurred months before construction started RE: closet, light fixture, electrical outlet, sump pump door, door type, lock quality etc., etc. was included - it would have made discussions of change orders and costs much more complicated. Only reason "Professionalism" is "B" not "A" above is that I think every contractor should have a super-detailed contract form for big jobs. However, Peter was willing to use my super-detailed contract - so maybe he deserves an A.

I am very impressed with how neat and clean they were. They worked without making a mess and were very efficient. They are a really good company. They worked quickly and did the job they were supposed to do without damaging anything. They were all around fantastic. I am very happy and they stuck to the exact estimate that they gave me.
