Dog Grooming reviews in Flushing

I have a medium sized dog, not too big.  She, the groomer, is very patient with him.  They're very good with him.  Usually I would take him and they would have to sedate him because he bites, but they don't sedate him.  He's doing very well there and I'm very happy with them.  They're wonderful.  A lot of groomers won't even work with my dog, he doesn't like to be touched, he doesn't like to be groomed or touched.  You can pet him, but he doesn't like to be touched.  They have also done dental cleaning.  They have to sedate him for that.  I'd give them all A's, they're wonderful. It is a very nice veterinarian clinic.  The groomer and the vet are very nice.

The visit went great.  Kelly was patient, loving and kind.  She spent 50 minutes with our pup.  Reassuring him and keeping him calm.  She did everything we ask for.  At first she was only going to charge us $20, but we insisted on giving her $30.  She was terrific.  Would recommend her and will be going back.

The did a good job. I used them recently and the previous guy that had done my pup that I liked, he's no longer with them. They sent this woman and I'm not too impressed with her capabilities because the haircut didn't turn out so well. It's a truck that washes the door and does the haircut inside the truck. The guy that has done it the previous time, I liked. I don't think I'll call them again.

After dog-sitting my brother's dog for a week, I decided to get her bathed and fluffed before she went back home.  I picked Pampered Pets because it is near my office, and the Yelp reviews were good.  I was given a very friendly greeting, as was the dog (Gigi).  The groomer asked very detailed questions about what I would like to have done for Gigi and was thoroughly professional.  It only took a couple of hours for Gigi to be ready to picked up.  She was clean, fluffy and happy, and the groomer raved about what a doll she is--and it's true that Gigi is a very sweet dog.  I was very pleased, and so was my brother when he came to pick up Gigi and take her back home.
As for the price, I have no frame of reference whatsoever, because it's at least 20 years since I last took any dog to be professionally groomed.  In any event, I will take Gigi back to Pampered Pets the next time we dog-sit.

I checked all the reviews on yelp before contacting JAY as I was very uncertain as to where to go.My last groomer was disappointing. My dog a  full grown golden retriever ,very furry, had not seen a groomer in over 6 months, fur was very long, uneven from my amateur trimming, matted in parts, and long winter playing in snow.Dog was brushed, dematted, shampooed, had deep conditioning, nails, glands, ears cleansed.
Mr Jay checked my dogs paperwork for  vaccinations before agreeing, gave a appx cost, explained the time it would take and a phone call when he was almost finished. He introduced himself o my dog at eye level but my dog was slightly anxious.
I got a call for pick around the the time frame I was given,my dog came out calm, happy, looking like a million bucks!
Clean, shiny fur, trimmed  according to breed standard, smelled clean, fur was soft ,silky to touch.
Total time 2.5 hours,   $85,plus a 10% discount first time service.

Maria Dr. Engel’s associate bathed him and cut his hair, nails and cleaned his teeth. My dog came out a new man! The location is convenient and I felt she did a thorough job. It was a pleasant experience. I was recommended to this office from my veterinarian.

They are wonderful and fantastic. I have been bringing my dog there for over a year. They are honest and upfront. They do great follow up by calling within 48 hours to make sure the dog is ok and comfortable.

They are really good, excellent. They also have a daycare for dogs. They treated my pets and me really nice. It is open; you can see the cages and they are clean. You can see that they love dogs and they are really caring. They like animals. They do cats as well, I am sure.

First I'll start with the good, the facility is very nice. The staff were even nicer. They took great care of my dog and were polite, professional and responsive at all times. Regrettably, the good news stops here. The owner, Shelly was only interested in getting a contract signed and collecting payment. Anything Shelly tells you during the evaluation of your pet does not matter. Once  the contract is signed, that's it.  When I had a question regarding the care of my puppy, I called and requested that Shelly call me back.  I called three days in a row with the same request. Shelly called me back after 7 days. He was not interested in listening to my concerns. For us, there was no point in paying a premium for a "lifetime training guarantee", Shelly's unwillingness to communicate clearly, conduct himself professionally and practice basic customer service guarantees that we will never bring out pet back. An expensive lesson for sure. Do yourself and your dog a favor and stay away.

This pet salon is located in the back rooms of a human beauty salon (Rendezvous Beauty Salon), behind the Blue Bay Diner which faces Horace Harding Parkway. There is a strip of several stores behind the diner, including the Rendezvous Beauty Salon and Meeka's Pet Grooming within. When I made my appointment, the proprietor of Meeka's (Noelle) asked me to provide a rabies certificate, so I had my vet fax one over.
At the time of the appointment, I brought my cat into a human hair salon, the back room of which was the pet salon. On a charming dog-bone-shaped grooming table, we both worked on coaxing my large Maine C*** out of her carrying case, watched by 2 cute little girls who were helping to tie little doggie bows in the back of the room. Eventually we got her out of her case and onto the grooming table. Noelle asked me what kind of grooming I wanted done. I told her about the matting I could not get out myself, the vast amount of shedding she was doing around the house, that my cat needed a minimal and quot;sanitary clipand quot; around her behind to prevent any bits of poop from being inadvertently dropped around the house as it clung to her fur, and that I wanted my cat bathed, as she has an oily coat.
When the phrase and quot;lion cutand quot; was mentioned by the groomer, I was quite adamant that my cat be kept as natural as possible (the whole beauty of a Maine C*** is their coat and magnificent tail!), so no lion cut. Noelle was OK with that and clipped Bijou's nails. She asked if she could give Bijou a treat of a bit of catnip, which I OK'd. It was very good that she asked first, because some pets could be allergic to various treats.Bijou was very calm during this process.
Noelle then began to brush the mats out of Bijou's coat. They were a bit tender, must have been pulling her, so Bijou got a bit feisty. Then Noelle slipped the groomer noose suspended from the arm of the grooming table over Bijou's neck and shoulders, and Bijou quieted right down. She saw that and quot;escape was futileand quot; and was smart enough not to waste her efforts. Noelle very patiently cut out each mat with extreme gentleness and plenty of soothing murmurs. Bijou hardly reacted, was very calm during this operation. Even when Noelle shaved a bit of her lower abdomen where it was very matted, Bijou was very good. She obviously trusted Noelle a lot to be this quiet and calm during the clipping and buzzing.
When all the mats were taken care of and the coat brushed, Bijou got her ears cleaned out in preparation for her bath. It was at this point that I left to go to the nail salon right next door to get a bit of grooming done for myself. When I returned, Noelle was drying Bijou and combing out her luxuriant and newly clean coat. By this point, Bijou was relaxed and trusting enough not to need any harness at all and simply lay on the grooming table getting beautified. You could see that Noelle had a great rapport with her. When Bijou's coat was completely dry and she was all combed out, she was soft, silky and ready for her closeup, Mr. DeMille.
