This "doctor" ran late with his appointment and into my appointment time then accused me of being late and And LYING and refused to do my surgery after I waited months for the appointment and had the audacity of telling me, a patient!, "I am not working into my lunch break because you are lying ". After I specifically asked to check the cameras to prove what time I got there in front of the receptionist who saw me sign in. He gave me nothing but excuses and said I had to wait weeks for another appointment after I took 3 days off of work in advance to get my extractions done. If I could give him 0 stars I would. Albert Matuza is terribly disrespectful and extremely unprofessional.

This is my third year of working with Dr. Baron. I have a genetically-based deteriorating gum condition and have been constantly told by other doctors that I need implants. When I first met Dr. Baron, he respected my wish to avoid surgery if at all possible. I’ve been getting routine deep cleaning every three months without fail for three years by now. I cannot be happier when he checks my teeth and tells me that the condition of my gums and teeth is stable. He has been encouraging me to make sure to come back for the regular cleanings. He has been the only periodontist so far who told me that my genetic condition of the gum disease is not something that the surgery would help dramatically and emphasizes the regular deep cleaning with him that will maintain the gum condition I cannot appreciate enough his integrity and professionalism. He has never disappointed me about his punctuality. Whenever I show up at the office, he is ready to see me.

I was having discomfort  in my jaw while eating , and i didn't see a dentist for 10 years because i was so afraid. Wow am i glad i found CitiDental on cross bay blvd. Location is new. still smells new. scheduling was a breeze, i requested a 1pm appointment and lucky for me it was available. Doctor was great. i didnt see a dentist for 10 years and i was  so afraid, and doctor and the staff calmed me down. the environment and all the staff is very relaxing. Nurse Maria was very professional.

After exam and some xrays, doctor explained to me what was bothering me and why. suggested various treatment options. everything went great.

like i said before, i haven't see a dentist in 10 years and i thought i would just pass out while taking xrays, but it went fantastic. calm. painless . seamless. doctor was so gentle i didnt feel a ting.  Highly recommended.

if you're afraid of dentist or tired of going to offices in a basement setting, with old dilapidated decor whose rooms look like they are a torture chamber and staff is just after your money then this is definitely the office you should try. Im  happy i found this place.

    Definitely recomended

Both my daughters. Orthodontist Dr Lukowitz and Dentist Dr Sinha are very nice. They take the time to explain what's going on and are great with the kids. We seldom have to wait more than 5 minutes for our appointments and the check in and check out staff are very efficient and patient in explaining billing etc.
Also great that I can get Sunday appointments.

I have had degenerative periodontal conditions and needed a periodontist who could treat them.  I've had several gum surgeries in previous years and many of the periodontists I worked with recommended implants in the areas where  the bone loss was heavy.  I still wanted to keep my original teeth, but had a real hard time finding periodontists woh could be patient with me, by not jumping into implant plans and all the related costs immediately when they saw my x-rays.  During the initial assessment meeting, Dr. Baron took my personal concerns into consideration and explained my options.  He took my existing gum condition as shown in the x-rays as a baseline and wanted to see whether it would deteriorate over a year or so, and then we would decide together whether we could opt for the implant.  I've been to deep cleaning sessions every three months as he recommended and have tried to keep to the cleaning regimen.  It has been a year so far and he sees that the gum condition is being maintained, to my great relief!  Dr. Baron does an exceptionally deep cleraning in which he goes real deep into the infected gum areas where plaque is built up heavily and does a real thorough cleaning.  The office staff are all nice and work efficiently.  In addition, this is a doctor's office where you do not need a waiting room.  Once you are there for your appointment, you will be seeing Dr. Baron right on time.

They are one of the top dental studios in NYC. Dr. Kafko is my primary dentist and Dr. Wang is an oral surgeon. They are wonderful, thoughtful and considerate. They will also work with you financially. Appointment reminders are very convenient and timely, which are with enough advance notice to allow for scheduling adjustments; it's never been issue with rescheduling.

I had three crowns put in by Dr. Lang and had problems with two of them. I just recently found another dentist and found two root canals that were done by Dr. Lang need to be redone. On xray, there are shadows at the bottom of the canal that might reflect infection. I cannot prove that these possible infections were the result of poor work but regardless they need to be corrected and will cost me much money.

The result so far is great.   I highly recommend Dr. Kissel. Dr. Kissel is a micro-surgery periodontal specialist who uses advanced implant techniques.  My dentist recommended Dr. Kissel.  However, my career has been in medical devices and surgical implants (not dental).  I have observed all kinds of surgeries and coached surgeons and nurses on the use of various implants.  Having seen a lot of very good, mediocre and bad surgeons in various specialties, I am very cautious about who I chose to do surgery on me, my family and friends.  Also, I had already had a dental implant done while I was living in Florida.  It was a good result, however, not as cosmetically crucial.  It was a molar.  Now, it is a canine.  #6 is right out front for the world to see.  So, I got a second opinion. The reason I got a second opinion is that Dr. Kissel was suggesting a very different approach to the implant.
Dr. Kissel said he could perform the extraction, bone graft, implant, temporary tooth and gum graft in ONE DAY!  And, that if I followed his instructions, I would be able to put pressure on that tooth again in FOUR MONTHS!  If you are familiar with this process, it usually takes about 9 months to a year.  Much of that time you have a gap in your teeth where the tooth is missing.  So, if this gap is in a cosmetically important area, you need to be fitted for a "flipper".  A flipper is a denture like false tooth.  It is more work, more expense, an inconvenience and for some people may not look good.  Here is Dr. Kissel telling me that he can reduce this process to FOUR MONTHS! and have a nice cosmetic appearance in the meantime with no flipper.
The doctor who gave me the second opinion was impressive.  He wanted to go the traditional route that would take up to a year and requiring a flipper.  Because, you are sent back to your original dentist for the flipper, it is one more place you have to go.
Obviously, I went with Dr. Kissel.  The procedure took about 5 hours.  I wasn't an easy case due to the depth of the root of my canine. He used the surgical microscope with amazing dexterity.  I didn't feel the "shot" he used to numb the target area.  If I felt the slightest bit of discomfort.  He pumped more anesthetic in.  He talked me through every step he took.  They gave me several breaks.  His microsurgical approach is very very important to how you feel after the procedure.  His technique is not as traumatic as the traditional approach.  This relates to the extraction/implant and the gum graft.  I went home with a prescription for heavy pain meds.  I never used them.  I was amazed.  A week later, we were visiting friends.  Told them about my dental surgery.  One of our friends, a doctor, told us of the very painful gum graft she had done earlier in the year.  She said the roof of her mouth was on fire.  I didn't have this experience at all.  No pain where the graft was taken.  I asked Dr. Kissel about this and he explained that with micro-surgical techniques there is less trauma to the palate of the mouth and therefore less or no pain following the procedure.
A couple other important things - The staff is professional, competent and PLEASANT.  I can't say that for a lot of New York city medical practices.  Martina, the office manager, is really on the ball and pleasant to deal with.
So, it has been a very good experience and I am very happy with the results.  I highly recommend Dr. Kissel.

The first thing I noticed was I was taken to a little back area to discuss the finances, which was nice, and they were on the ball with it too. They were very knowledgeable about the whole insurance procedure. The first checkup was nice and thorough. They used an x-ray which normal dentists don't use. I opted for general anesthesia and it was incredible. It was almost like a hospital setting, it was clean, proper, and there were two nurses with me. The process was very comfortable and painless. After the surgery, I was taken to a little recovery area and there was minimal discomfort. The doctor himself called around 6 o'clock that evening asking if everything was all right.

I have been going to Dr. Witt for about 15 years now since I was a kid, and so has my brother.  The staff can be rude sometimes and so can he.  Every time I have an appointment I have to wait a while before seeing him, sometimes over an hour.  The last visit I had, I was 10 minutes late to an appointment  after traveling from Manhattan (where I currently live and work) to make it the appointment and he told me that I had now missed half the appointment and that he had no time to fix anything and to come back another time.   I did not find a new dentist because I have had him for so long and I thought I trusted him.  He was extremely rude to me and after this I found a new dentist immediately.  My new dentist told me things about my teeth on the first appointment that Dr. Witt had never told me once in the 15 years that I had been going to him.  I would never recommend Dr. Witt to anyone.  I have never been happier that I changed Dentists and I now see even clearer how little he really did for me all of these years.
